The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 2261: Chapter 2261: Try Attacking from Within?

Thick tentacles retreated beneath the water surface, and the turbulent waves gradually calmed.

Everyone hovered in mid-air, looking at the water below, their expressions grave, especially Orion Watson, whose face looked even more troubled.

He reached out and grabbed the trembling, twisting tentacle, pulled it out, and casually tossed it away. The next second, it was crushed into fragments by an invisible force.

Orion Watson glanced at his injury; the surrounding muscles were already shriveled like lifeless wood. It was clear that if he hadn’t reacted quickly and swiftly sliced off the offensive tentacle, his Life Force might have been frantically consumed.

”What kind of magical beast is this? That it’s so powerful that the three of us together can’t defeat it?”

Wyrella Holt’s eyes were heavy, and her heart was uneasy: ”Although we can hurt it, its size is too enormous. The damage we cause is negligible, practically inconsequential...”

Virelia Jaramillo said in a deep voice: ”Its body surface is entwined with black Demonic Qi, which greatly negates our attacks. Even with Divine Skills, it’s hard to inflict fatal damage on it. Additionally, there’s something wrong with the water...”

Wyrella Holt agreed: ”Yes, I also noticed that opening a Domain underwater is extremely difficult, at least several times harder than in the air, causing the power of Divine Skills to decrease significantly. The water seems to be full of Demonic Qi.”

After pausing, Wyrella Holt glanced at the other two, appearing somewhat hesitant: ”Did you both notice this clearly?”

Orion Watson and Virelia Jaramillo exchanged a look, seeming a bit hesitant, but finally nodded.

Wyrella Holt asked: ”What do we do now? That place appears to be the octopus’s home, and it is cautious, unwilling to leave its territory and less willing to leave the water. If we go down there, we can’t avoid it.”

Orion Watson said coldly: ”Kill it!”

Having been injured by the octopus, Orion Watson already harbored hatred towards it, so he stated without hesitation, determined to take the giant octopus’s life.

Virelia Jaramillo frowned: ”We want to kill it too, but in the water, we can’t manage to kill it. It doesn’t leave the surface, and we don’t have the advantage. Also, I think this octopus is different from those completely mindless magical beasts; it’s very cunning...”

Orion Watson nodded: ”Indeed, it captured three people but hasn’t hurried to eat them or ingest their Life Force, instead toying with them. I even suspect it’s deliberately doing this, luring assistance to come.”

Carson Flores, who had been listening for a while, couldn’t help but interject: ”So what exactly is below?”

Orion Watson hesitated for a moment, then finally spoke: ”There’s a human-made building. Although we haven’t seen its entirety, it seems powerful cultivators lived there. We want to investigate the situation with this building or see if there’s anything left inside.”

”This octopus is obviously different from the previous magical beasts we encountered, and the underwater building seems to be its lair. I’m wondering if something in there made it so powerful, yet not completely deranged, so cunning.”

Carson Flores pondered: ”It’s hard to harm it with its body surface shrouded in Demonic Qi?”

Virelia Jaramillo looked troubled: ”Yes, this water is filled with endless Demonic Qi, perfect for its survival and battle. Conversely, our abilities are greatly limited...”

Carson Flores mused for a few seconds: ”How about trying to attack from the inside?”

Virelia Jaramillo’s eyes widened: ”How do you plan to attack from the inside?”

Carson Flores replied: ”This octopus fought such a big battle with you today, so it’s probably consumed a lot of Energy, or it might be quite hungry. Thus, it is likely to hunt for food. We can capture some prey, throw them into the water, maybe it would pursue them, then we place some powerful Exploding Talismans inside these prey. After the octopus swallows the prey, the talismans explode from inside its body...”

Everyone’s eyes brightened all at once.

Wyrella Holt’s eyes lit up: ”This method is good, there’s no need to fight it directly. No matter how strong its external defenses are, if it explodes inside its stomach, it definitely can’t withstand it.”

Orion Watson and Virelia Jaramillo exchanged a glance, both considering the idea worth a try. Even though the octopus might not eat the bait thrown, the plan itself didn’t require much cost.

”Let’s give it a shot.”

Orion Watson decisively said: ”I have a Fire God Thunder Bead here, its power is considerable, we can give it a try.”

Wyrella Holt also spoke: ”I have an Extreme Water Yin Thunder as well, we can use both together.”

Virelia Jaramillo suggested: ”That creature has tough skin and flesh, let’s use more of them. Even if it doesn’t swallow them, as long as they explode near it, catching it off guard, they will surely inflict great damage. If it’s injured, even if it doesn’t die, the three of us should be able to kill it or drive it off, then complete our exploration below.”

Everyone agreed in unison: ”Alright, let’s do it!”
