The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 884: Chapter 884: Sister Agrees, Sister Will Decide for You

Carson Flores recounted his grudges with Bryant James, and after hearing it, the two women clicked their tongues in wonder.

”The Eight-Armed Arhat turned into the Seven-Armed Arhat? Haha, that must look hilarious...”

Samantha Tate laughed heartily, ”Your eldest martial brother is really fierce, huh? With an Innate Taoist Body, the son of Kahdas, striking as soon as he says he will, not giving a damn about face. He really cares about you.”

Carson Flores said with a smile, ”Yeah, my martial brothers and sisters are all really good to me. Although we are few, we’re like one family. Our master might not be a steward and doesn’t pay much attention to me, but that’s just his personality. If someone really did beat us, he would definitely take action.”

Shirley Miller chuckled, ”That’s pretty good, isn’t it? There’s no backstabbing, and you’re so free, able to go wherever you want without anyone controlling you. I can’t do that, and probably not you either, Sammie...”

Samantha Tate pouted, a look of helplessness on her face, ”Yeah, speaking of which, this is my first time out for training, and I almost died. Thankfully, Brother Chen came...”

Carson Flores said with a smile, ”Well, that’s perfect. From now on, I can keep you company.”

Shirley Miller smiled and glanced at Carson Flores once before her gaze fell on Samantha Tate’s face, ”Are you two together now?”

Samantha Tate’s face immediately reddened, and her expression became awkward as she shook her head slightly in panic, ”No.”

Shirley Miller took Samantha Tate’s hand in hers, ”Because of me?”

Samantha Tate said in a slightly panicked voice, ”Brother Chen and I originally...”

Shirley Miller placed her hand over Samantha Tate’s mouth, then hugged her.

”No need to explain. I was just asking out of curiosity, I’m not blaming anyone. Our relationship has shared life and death experiences and has transcended worldly romances. Plus, as Carson’s aunt once said quite sensibly, ’If there’s mutual love, why torment each other?’”

Samantha Tate hugged Shirley Miller back, ”Sis, thank you!”

Shirley Miller asked gently, ”You were together for such a long time before, why didn’t you end up together?”

Samantha Tate’s cheeks flushed as she said, ”I just thought that Brother Chen and you, sister, should be together first. I couldn’t go ahead...”

Shirley Miller playfully pinched Samantha Tate’s cheek, ”Then take this chance, who knows when we’ll meet again next time. I agree on your behalf, I’ll decide for you.”

With her cheeks still rosy, Samantha Tate asked, ”And what about you, sis?”

Shirley Miller gave a bitter smile, ”I’m not ready yet.”

At this, Shirley Miller turned her head to look at Carson Flores, ”Although I’ve almost completed inheriting the master’s mantle, what path to take in my future cultivation is a choice I have to make. Master wants me to cultivate the Charm Lady Heart Sutra. This technique must be practiced by a virgin, or its efficacy is greatly diminished...”

Shirley Miller looked apologetic, ”Kahdas Sect is mostly women, and the Charm Lady Heart Sutra is the highest cultivation technique of the Sect. This isn’t targeting me specifically. Moreover, once the Charm Lady Heart Sutra is perfected, it can be combined in dual cultivation with a Taoist companion, greatly enhancing both parties. I’ve been thinking...”

Carson Flores interrupted her with a bitter smile, ”I understand, it’s no problem, really. Honestly, just being able to hold your hand and watch the sunrise and sunset together is already happiness for me. As for the matters between a man and a woman, they’re important, but they’re not that important.”

”Our relationship transcends life and death; we don’t need such things to prove our bond to each other. Besides, as you said, the Charm Lady Heart Sutra is the highest technique of the Sect. Your ability to cultivate it shows that the Sect values you, and that’s a good thing.”

”You focus on cultivating without worries. When we all become stronger, then we’ll do as we please. Let’s see who can stop us then, haha...”

Carson Flores’ words successfully comforted a guilty-feeling Shirley Miller, who turned to him with a smile, ”None of our elders are here, so I’ll make the decision for you. You two should truly be together. Speaking of which, Carson, it’s kind of pitiful to think about it. After two years with two beautiful wives, he’s still single...”

Carson was caught between laughter and tears. Two wives beautiful as flowers, and yet he couldn’t touch either; was this success or failure?

Samantha Tate was also amused by Shirley Miller’s words but soon had tears in her eyes as she hugged Shirley Miller tightly.

”Thank you, sis, you’re the best to me.”

Shirley Miller smiled gently, ”You’re my sister; if I don’t treat you well, then who will I treat well? Besides, you’ve been very good to me too. Let’s not speak such distant words.”

Samantha Tate asked, ”Sis, how long will it take for you to fully cultivate the Charm Lady Heart Sutra?”

Shirley Miller shook her head, ”I don’t know. I’ve just received the technique and haven’t really started cultivating it yet. I’m at the Initial Spirit Transformation Stage now, so maybe by the time I reach Nascent Soul Great Perfection, I might be able to do it.”

Carson Flores said with a laugh, ”No big deal. The three of us are favored by fate, protected by the heavens. If you’re already at the Initial Spirit Transformation Stage, reaching Great Perfection won’t be a problem and neither will advancing to the Hollow Void. It won’t take much time.”

Seeing that Carson Flores truly didn’t mind, Shirley Miller also relaxed.

She felt genuinely sorry.

After all, she was Carson’s true wife, yet she had never fulfilled her duties.

Letting Sammie be with him first seemed like a small compensation for what she owed
