The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 870: Chapter 870: Beast Tide! The Beast Tide is Coming!

Carson Flores ultimately didn’t dare to agree.

He was a normal man; if they were to be naked together, there was no way he could hold back!

Since they had already agreed to go find Shirley Miller together and had arrived in Eastern Emperor Province, nearing Rajevols, it would be somewhat awkward if something happened between them at this point.

Lying in Carson’s arms, Samantha Tate chuckled softly, ”I never thought, just the two of us doing nothing, just lying quietly on the bed, could be such a difficult thing to achieve...”

Carson Flores gave a bitter smile, ”The things we’ve encountered, each one is a deadly trap. Others might not meet even one in their lifetime, yet we’ve faced three consecutively. How could it be easy?”

Samantha Tate smiled and interjected, ”The good news is that we’re both alive now, so we should cherish the present even more!”

After saying this, Samantha Tate turned around, hugged Carson, and initiated a kiss.

...

Sunlight spilled through the window, as Samantha Tate lazily opened her eyes in Carson’s embrace.

This was the best sleep she had had in over two years.

The lonely midnight dreams of the past, the unease under the shadow of death in recent months—all had vanished, with no threat of life or death, lying in the arms of her lover brought infinite satisfaction.

Samantha Tate looked down at the hand resting on her chest and her lips curved up slightly.

”Awake already!”

Samantha Tate looked up to meet Carson’s warm gaze.

Turning to face Carson, Samantha Tate smiled, ”The sun is already on your butt. It’s time to wake up. Did you sleep well?”

Carson Flores smiled, ”Very well.”

Last night, Samantha Tate was emotional and took the initiative to flirt with Carson. Although they did not cross the final line, they did get intimate.

Neither of them was of the prudish conservative type; they just both had respect for Shirley Miller in their hearts.

Carson Flores felt it was necessary to give Shirley Miller a clear explanation, while Samantha Tate felt that if something were to happen, Shirley should have priority, as she was Carson’s rightful wife.

Rajevols was right before them, and they could afford to wait a little longer.

”Let’s get up then!”

After getting up and having breakfast, they bought a map at the inn and studied it carefully.

”Boss, is there a flying boat to Rajevols from here?”

The innkeeper replied, ”This city is under the jurisdiction of Rajevols, so naturally, there are flying boats to Rajevols.”

Carson Flores was quite surprised, ”Giant Wave City belongs to Rajevols?”

”Isn’t this place quite far from Rajevols? Is the influence of Rajevols so extensive?”

The innkeeper smiled, ”Not exactly. Originally, Giant Wave City was managed by the Huangyun Sect, but the sect had a conflict with the Demon Race and was nearly annihilated; the Sect Master died in battle right then, and the Deputy Sect Master, who had old ties with the high ranks of Rajevols, led the remaining people and Giant Wave City itself to submit to Rajevols...”

”This city is far from Rajevols, separated by other powers’ cities in between. Although Giant Wave City wasn’t significant in size or resource output and Rajevols is a powerful force with people stationed here, other powers naturally give way. So, although this city is isolated, no one really tries to attack it.”

Carson Flores nodded in understanding and smiled, ”How long does it take to get to Rajevols from here?”

”By commercial flying boat, about twenty days; flying on your own, probably only seven or eight days.”

”Alright, thanks!”

Samantha Tate asked, ”Are we going directly to Rajevols to find my sister?”

Carson Flores nodded, ”Yeah, but you might want to send a message to your Sect to stop them from worrying.”

Samantha Tate nodded, ”That’s possible. Anyway, now that I’ve finally met you, I definitely want to stay with you for a while longer.”

Carson Flores smiled, ”After seeing your sister and staying for a while, I’ll be heading to the True Dragon Secret Realm. I think your Sect will also send people there, and you can join me then and meet up with your Sect.”

Samantha Tate’s eyes brightened, ”I’ve heard about the True Dragon Secret Realm before, but back then my strength was too weak to qualify. Now that I’ve reached Nascent Soul Great Perfection, I should be eligible, right?”

Carson Flores smiled, ”Nascent Soul Great Perfection, Five Elements Spiritual Body, of course you’re qualified. With your strength, not many can overpower you in a one-on-one fight.”

Samantha Tate blinked, ”Can I join you then?”

Carson Flores smiled, ”Your Sect probably won’t agree, because the teams from different provinces are in competition, and might even fight over valuables. If you join the team from Misrds State, wouldn’t that be like aiding the enemy for Heavenly Mountain Cave and Southern Yu Province?”

Samantha Tate pouted but didn’t say more, as she knew the rules were indeed like that, and her Sect certainly wouldn’t let a star of Heavenly Mountain Cave join a team from Misrds State.

”Alright, let’s go board the flying boat.”

As they arrived at the flying boat terminal and were about to board, suddenly a group of cultivators flew from outside the city.

This group of cultivators flew hastily, each of them injured, with one even missing an arm, bloodied and lying on the back of another cultivator, looking quite grim.

Was this an adventure team that ran into powerful demonic beasts and came back injured?

The leading cultivator rushed straight towards the central City Lord’s Mansion while anxiously shouting, ”Beast tide! A beast tide is coming!”
