The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 860: Chapter 860: Comparison Leads to Frustration, Goods to Disposal

Carson Flores sighed and reached out to pull Samantha Tate into his arms.

”You silly girl, are you planning to die here with me?”

Without hesitation, Samantha Tate nodded, ”If you can’t get out, I’ll stay here with you, even if we both end up dead, we’ll die together.”

After a pause, Samantha Tate added, ”I came to this world because of you; if you’re no longer here, then nothing else matters to me.”

Carson Flores comforted her, ”How can it be meaningless? You still have your sister, she’s waiting for us in Rajevols. Even if I can’t get out, at least you can. You could tell her about me, so she wouldn’t be left without any news of my disappearance.”

Samantha Tate shook her head, ”If she knows I am in Heavenly Mountain, she’ll come eventually, and she’ll find out you found me and that we went missing while being chased by the Crimson Dragon King. We might as well be considered dead at his hands; it makes no real difference.”

Seeing he couldn’t persuade Samantha Tate, Carson Flores changed the topic to his own Sword Bone, ”Don’t be pessimistic, I might also have a chance to get out.”

Holding Carson Flores, her eyes slightly reddened, Samantha Tate said, ”You don’t need to comfort me. None of those people, each a brilliant and powerful genius, managed to leave because they weren’t Five Elements Spiritual Bodies, so they couldn’t absorb the Five Elements Essentia. You aren’t a Five Elements Spiritual Body either...”

Carson Flores explained, ”I’m not lying to you, I am following the Path of the Sword Bone, which is refining all of my bones into Sword Bones, each one as potent as a Magical Sword. My Dantian certainly can’t endure the Five Elements Essentia, but my bones can.”

He continued, ”It’s stated here that your body needs to possess a sufficient amount of the Five Elements Essentia, but it doesn’t specify it has to be in the Dantian. If I understand correctly, as long as my Sword Bones absorb enough Five Elements Essentia, I might have a chance to pass through that gate.”

Samantha Tate was greatly surprised, ”Really? You’re not deceiving me?”

Carson Flores smiled, ”I am not deceiving you. Later when I cultivate, you will see it, how could I possibly deceive you.”

Samantha Tate immediately brightened up, full of anticipation, ”Then let’s absorb the Five Elements Essentia together. Are you planning on absorbing the Metal Essence?”

Carson Flores nodded, ”Earth Essence is suitable for armor, but my Sword Bones are two hundred and six swords. To make the swords sharper and more powerful, naturally, I need to use the Metal Essence. First, I’ll prioritize the Metal Essence, then consider the others.”

The two of them made another round but didn’t see a single corpse. The entire Five Elements Immortal Palace was clean inside and out, completely devoid of anything.

Finally, they returned to the Light Gate and stared blankly at it, ”Did all those people eventually enter this folding fan Light Gate, leaving no trace of their bones?”

Carson Flores gave a bitter smile, ”Perhaps they struggled for a while before their end, but eventually, everyone must die. Who would wait here to die? Even without absorbing Five Elements Essentia, they must have stepped through the Light Gate to take a chance, maybe it could’ve worked?”

Samantha Tate bitterly smiled, ”All these prodigious leaders, I didn’t expect that in the end, not even a corpse was left behind. That’s too tragic.”

Carson Flores laughed, ”We thought we’d pick up some bargains here, but ended up with nothing. Our hopes are dashed.”

After they reflected for a while, they prepared to start cultivating.

Samantha Tate walked towards the Wood Essence, sat down cross-legged right in front of it, perfectly shielding herself right in the path of the Wood Essence, which though heavy as mountains, seemed weightless upon her.

Samantha Tate’s eyes suddenly turned dark green, and her whole being radiated the fresh aura of flora, as though she herself had become a towering tree.

Being a Five Elements Spiritual Body is really something!

Carson Flores secretly praised as he approached the Metal Essence himself, carefully reaching out his palm to capture just a bit of it.

Even that tiny wisp made Carson Flores feel as if a tremendous weight was placed in his hand, nearly crushing him to the ground.

Carson Flores’s body, with its Sword Bones solid as ever, creaked under the pressure of the Metal Essence, as if it were about to burst.

He quickly followed the refinement method Delaney Hunter had suggested, drawing the Metal Essence into his body bit by bit, then rapidly transferring it into one of his Sword Bones.

Even that mere wisp of Metal Essence, once it penetrated the Sword Bone, significantly enhanced its quality.

The earth is divided into Five Elements; Origin Essentia is indeed powerful!

Clenching his teeth and enduring the pain, Carson Flores continued to draw the Metal Essence bit by bit into his body, then diffused it into his bones.

After about ten minutes, completely drenched in sweat and exhausted, he quickly retreated from the stream of Metal Essence.

Carson Flores sat down with a thump, panting heavily. Turning to look at Samantha Tate, still calmly meditating within the Wood Essence, he couldn’t help but smile bitterly.

To compare oneself with others can be truly disheartening!

Such a stark contrast!
