Three Towers Game

Chapter 1311: Chapter 415: Fighting Hunger and Quenching Thirst

(Disclaimer: All ingredients mentioned in this book are not of the same species as humans.)

Although Reid and Sean did not hear the woman’s voice, soon they heard another sound.

[You feel a tearing thirst. The liquid flowing from the tap seems to be the only definite water source here.]

The three of them came to the kitchen, and a new prompt appeared.

The basic code of the body is to drink when thirsty and eat when hungry.

In increasingly harsh environments, all human desires are about survival.

At present, the sudden severe thirst made the three of them feel like people walking in the desert for a long time.

From the kitchen sink, came the sound of water dripping.

The sound seemed to have a deadly allure.

”Water...” Sean couldn’t help but murmur.

”I want to drink water, lots and lots of water!”

Sean seemed almost uncontrollably drawn to the sink like he had countless parasites inside him.

At this moment, Wen Xishu instinctively turned his head.

He was like this, the more he felt a strong urge from a target, the more he’d look at the surrounding environment.

He looked towards what one would generally consider another water source.

The curtain’s fabric was heavy with moisture, outlining a figure standing unnaturally straight, a shadow of a person.

It seemed to be staring at him with a resentful gaze.

This made Wen Xishu shudder. He sensed that some evil spirit was connected to the water.

He swallowed nonexistent spit, his throat felt raw like sandpaper. He moved step by step towards the tap.

By this time, Sean had already drunk the water.

With a whoosh, the tap opened, and water gushed out, Sean guzzling loudly, seemingly very satisfied.

Sean seemed unaffected, just felt his thirst had eased greatly.

This undoubtedly lowered the internal vigilance of the stronger-willed Wen Xishu and Reid.

Reid also attempted to drink water but was suddenly pulled back by Wen Xishu.

”Don’t drink!”

Wen Xishu’s throat was dry, and his voice was hoarse.

Reid stopped instantly, and at this moment, he saw the bizarre scene. The ordinary water he saw earlier had disappeared.

The water in the sink now was the color of diluted rust.

The water increased, Sean finally felt satisfied, feeling immensely pleased.

But soon, he also seemed to see something unbelievable, with his mouth wide open, eyes round, face full of horror.

The ”liquid” in the sink had changed.

A thick, dark liquid, like a living thing, was silently overflowing.

It wasn’t water, but more like numerous intertwined, filthy wet hair, slowly and persistently spreading across the floor tiles, creeping towards Sean’s feet.

”Help! Help!”

A bullet screen appeared above Sean’s head.

At that moment, Wen Xishu touched it and discovered a classic horror character. A woman with a pale face, wearing a long blue dress, drenched all over, her hair long enough to reach her knees, was now slowly winding her snake-like hair around Sean.

A mournful opera song appeared.

The lover in joyous times,

The spouse in heartbroken moments,

The moon knows the grievance,

Meeting is hard, parting is easy,

The abandoned woman now regrets too late.

Hair appeared from Sean’s mouth, Reid wanted to do something but was stopped by Wen Xishu’s gaze.

The thirst intensified, but after seeing the ghost, the immense fear finally helped Wen Xishu suppress the bodily desire.

Sean died, his death gruesome.

Black hair like living creatures seeped from his eyes, nostrils, ears, and mouth.

His body began to be consumed by the hair, bones, and flesh gradually disappearing until the hair retreated like a tide...

They transformed into water, left through the drain, like resentment lurking underground.

Wen Xishu felt this impact was no less than the ghost seen at Pig the Third’s door.

Especially because these rules here would increase one’s ”desire.” Utilizing desire to force players into making mistakes.

And Sean’s dismemberment was like countless white ants devouring a corpse, leaving no residue as if Sean never existed.

The process was so swift, making Wen Xishu’s hair stand on end with fear.

”Another one dead...”

Now only Wen Xishu and Reid were left.

”The first test is of courage, this one tests willpower.”

Wen Xishu made a judgment in his heart.

Reid couldn’t help but say:

”I’m still very thirsty... I feel like I’m going to die of thirst.”

His voice was equally hoarse as if his throat was on fire.

Wen Xishu felt the same, his desire for water still intense.

He glanced back; the unnatural human shadow was still there. It seemed to tilt its head.

With a whoosh, the tap turned on automatically, and in that instant, Reid almost couldn’t help reaching for the water.

Because what Reid saw was no longer the eerie liquid but ordinary water.

”It’s deceiving us; if you really drink it, it won’t be the same.”

Wen Xishu pulled Reid back.

Reid gradually rationalized and subdued his desire.

”Thank you... If it weren’t for you, I’d definitely end up like Sean... Damn, I really embarrassed myself.”

Even as a Lion Heart Brand holder, Reid felt very ashamed at this moment.

He admired Wen Xishu and had great trust in him, thinking that if they returned to Lion City, he must praise this guy before Leo.
