Three Towers Game

Chapter 193: Chapter 92: Cleverly Passing the 4th Barrier

Zheng Zai crouched down, carefully examining the note:

”I can’t understand... How is this related to the five senses?”

Wen Xishu said:

”The patient in this room... is an old lady, maybe her hearing isn’t good?”

”The patient in the first room is a little girl, and her vision is impaired...”

”Do you think this is a coincidence?”

Zheng Zai shook his head:

”So you’re saying this floor is home to people with disabilities?”

Wen Xishu hesitated:

”Not necessarily... The old lady’s hearing issue is just a guess, but the little girl’s vision problem is a fact.”

”It’s not necessarily about disabilities, but since there are eyes and ears, there might also be a nose and a mouth.”

”Let’s first look around and see if other rooms have similar elements.”

Zheng Zai nodded:

”But do we need to identify them?”

If the objects are not identified, they cannot be used. They’d just be ordinary radios.

Wen Xishu looked at the radio. There were only three characters on it: Sorrow, Sound, Tower.

The words were too few to guess the function of the radio. Using a radio in a Lv4 stage... it was somewhat risky.

However, Wen Xishu was reminded:

”I wonder if I can continue using the handle. Let’s do this, find another item which I’m more confident can be used in combat to enter the Lv4 stage.”

”If we can still use the handle, then we can identify these items and bring them out.”

Zheng Zai understood that Younger Brother Wen wanted to verify if already used tools could be used in subsequent stages.

If it works, considering the desk lamp wasn’t damaged, Younger Brother Wen could completely use the handle to manipulate himself and use the radio to kill a hundred monsters.

The attributes and abilities brought by the handle could cripple monsters, then use the radio for the final blow, completely feasible.

Wen Xishu saw that Zheng Zai understood. He felt relieved.

Zheng Zai had seemed awkward before, but he was actually highly teachable, not stupid at all, even quick to grasp concepts.

...

...

Wang Ying ultimately did not choose the 4-9 wrench.

Honestly, the wrench was better than the previous glass bottle. But he still didn’t dare select it, as he was facing Lv4 and not Lv1.

Aspasia also knew why Wang Ying was hesitant:

”This wrench... looks good for smashing heads, better than the bottle. Should we... try it?”

Wang Ying looked at Aspasia:

”I’ll give you the decision power, you make the call.”

Upon hearing this, Aspasia finally shook her head:

”Forget it... Let’s wait, we’ll go to 4-10.”

Wang Ying said nothing, just turned and went to 4-10. They were already in a dilemma, lacking courage.

They had no confidence in any item to challenge increasingly difficult stages.

On the other hand, Wen Xishu was getting more decisive.

As Wang Ying and Aspasia left 4-9, Wen Xishu arrived at 4-9.

Zheng Zai was overjoyed:

”Younger Brother Wen, this room may have no patients, but the item is good.”

”Why don’t we give it a try?”

Challenging the fourth stage with the wrench. Zheng Zai felt there was no problem, as Wen Xishu had completely stirred up his courage.

Wen Xishu said:

”This... is worth a shot.”

Wen Xishu could see five characters on the item.

”Construct, Repair, Time.”

It was hard to guess the function from this, but it seemed different from the Non-kill Blade, lacking any contrasting attributes.

”But first, I must declare, I’m not confident, and if the previously identified handle cannot be used...”

”It can!”

Zheng Zai suddenly interrupted Wen Xishu, speaking with determination.

Wen Xishu smiled:

”Share your thoughts.”

Zheng Zai said:

”You said to think holistically. If the rules were set to ban using previously identified items or other extra items... there wouldn’t be a need for special rules—only the identified items can kill.”

”Think about it, Captain Wang and the team could use rebar and stones to kill in the first round, though it didn’t count towards the kill count. It only counted when they used the desk lamp to smash the monster’s head.”

”This rule shows that all your other tools can be used, including items provided on-site. But you must use the newly identified tool for the final blow!”

”Otherwise, just forbid the use of other items. This is just the eighth level of the Deceit Tower... If the inventor encourages us to identify items, he should know that such a mechanism would make people deliberately choose combat-ready items. This isn’t good for showcasing non-combat items.”

”So, if you just need the item for the final blow, doesn’t it increase our selection space?”

Wen Xishu was stunned.

He had thought about these things before, which is why he was interested in the wrench, as he had the handle as a backup.

But he didn’t expect Zheng Zai to think so deeply into rules, understanding at that level.

At this moment, Zheng Zai was already beginning to think from the task layer, the task description implied that the inventor wanted his items known.

This in itself was information that Zheng Zai had now considered.

Wen Xishu felt very reassured:

”You’re absolutely right, Old Zheng, keep this habit. You will definitely handle things independently in the future.”
