Three Towers Game

Chapter 153: Chapter 80: Revisiting Deceit Tower_2

This time was no different.

Wen Xishu noticed that at the start, the mission’s prompt was to find the ”demon” behind the scenes.

But now, the description of An Rongzai had changed to the Demon King.

This meant that the Miracle Plan had failed; An Rongzai had suffered a setback. But interestingly enough, this powerful elder had once again achieved a miracle.

Such an opponent was extremely terrifying; such an opponent should not have appeared on the seventh layer.

In a sense, it was An Rongzai who spared each one of them.

This might be an expression of An Rongzai’s character, his final act of mercy before he transcended humanity to become a god.

So everything made sense—An Rongzai ultimately let the two brothers go, accepted his failure, but as a grand figure, immediately began an even grander plan.

What that plan was, Wen Xishu did not know, but the difficulty of its implementation and the cost it required were definitely more extravagant than the Reverse Seven Plan.

Yet in the end, he succeeded.

Ah Miao hadn’t figured out the entire process, but Wen Xishu already knew the key points of the whole story.

Without An Jincheng, An Youxuan would become a sacrifice that met the plan’s requirements.

But with An Jincheng, An Youxuan could give up everything for his brother, thus greed could no longer prevail.

The crux of this mission was actually to grant the brother the courage to resist his grandfather, rather than allowing An Rongzai to manipulate him.

With that courage, his brother might face the choice of ”only being able to choose one: his brother or the Sanqiu Group.”

When the brother was willing to fight back, and when Wen Xishu and Ah Miao succeeded in bringing the brother within the range of Incheon Port...the mission of the wealthy family’s youngest son was completed.

The bet between Scorpio and Gemini had shifted from Scorpio winning to Gemini winning.

This was very interesting.

In fact, Wen Xishu had a favorable impression of Scorpio. All along the way, Scorpio’s mode had made the process smooth for him.

Even though the wanted notice caused trouble, it didn’t affect the final outcome.

If possible, he quite wanted to help Scorpio. After all, Scorpio had given him a knife with unknown attributes, but it must be excellent.

”I quite want to see the reunion of the two brothers. How many people can unhesitatingly give up everything they have for their family?”

Ah Miao appeared rather reluctant. She looked at Wen Xishu and said:

”I feel like I did nothing but completed the mission, Ah Shu... you are the real miracle.”

Wen Xishu shook his head:

”You are the key to our successful escape. But Ah Miao, promise me, don’t tell anyone about everything that happened.”

”If there’s an opportunity in the future, I will be willing to go through similar experiences with them. But regarding everything related to the invitation, you must keep it secret.”

Ah Miao nodded:

”I’ll do whatever you say.”

The white light slowly faded, and the surrounding scene had undergone a drastic change.

...

...

Deceit Tower, Seventh Layer.

Miracle Mansion, Jiangnan District. About twenty minutes after Ah Miao and Wen Xishu returned...

Xiaowu initiated a meeting.

Soon, everyone saw their teammates on the screen.

”Not bad, Xiaowu, you are very punctual,” Wen Xishu said.

”Eh...Ah Shu, why do you have a knife in your hand?” the bald Wen Xiangge said.

”Sister Miao, your face, your face is healed! Praise my lord Xishu!” Wu Xiangjiao exclaimed in surprise.

Ah Miao touched her face; indeed, it was healed.

Wen Xishu could explain because the instance had reset. If Ah Miao and he had just made An Jincheng a little happier...

But did not change their original fate trajectory, then Ah Miao and he would have returned to the original Deceit Tower.

But now, because the entire Reverse Seven Plan had changed, Ah Miao and Wen Xishu had naturally been rebooted.

But the reboot did not erase the original merits of Wen Xishu and Ah Miao—

Wen Xishu sent off the writer Yin Junchi. Ah Miao sent off the comedian He Taiping.

”I...I also don’t know why, maybe a mission reward? Anyway, my face is healed, and I don’t seem as sickly,” Ah Miao said.

Logically, she was supposed to be influenced by joy. But now Ah Miao seemed very normal.

However, it couldn’t be ruled out whether staying here longer would make her abnormal again.

Wen Xishu said:

”Venerable Wen, please summarize our current encounters and arrangements.”

Venerable Wen was somewhat puzzled:

”Didn’t we just do this twenty minutes ago...?”

He thought to himself but since Ah Shu asked, he still gave a brief rundown of the current situation.

After listening, Wen Xishu understood. Basically, nothing had changed.

Venerable Wen corresponded to gluttony.

Xiaowu corresponded to pride.

Wu Xiangjiao corresponded to lust.

There was also envy on the forty-ninth floor. The mission was to send these people away.

And the game had reached the third day, if by the seventh day all the people were not sent away, the game would end.

The basic rules hadn’t changed; consuming fifty action points allowed an hour of visiting neighbors or an hour of exploring the building.

Wen Xishu didn’t know if this time he could, like during Parrot’s Sorrow, complete the Deceit Tower quickly after altering fate in Desire Tower.

But he now knew the key to the Reverse Seven Plan...

Lied in destroying the special item left by Scorpio.

After some thought, Wen Xishu said:

”I will do an experiment first, everyone stay put. Once I finish, I will decide the final survival strategy.”

If luck was on his side, perhaps no new plan would be needed.

That was what Wen Xishu was thinking.

Although everyone didn’t know what Wen Xishu was going to do, the instance reboot hadn’t altered too many memories.

In Wu Xiangjiao and Wen Xiangge’s eyes, Wen Xishu was still the trustworthy Ah Shu.

Venerable Wen did notice something.

He had been observing Wen Xishu; when Wu Xiangjiao discovered that Ah Miao’s facial wound had disappeared, Wen Xishu showed no reaction.

For Venerable Wen, only twenty minutes had passed...

But Venerable Wen guessed, had Ah Miao and Ah Shu gone on a special adventure during these twenty minutes?

Wen Xiangge, being very perceptive, still hoped that Ah Shu and Ah Miao would save them. The future of Xishu Divine Teaching was in the hands of these two young people.

Since the counterpart didn’t speak, he wouldn’t ask, and he considered helping them without others suspecting anything.

The meeting ended.

Wen Xishu decisively consumed fifty action points and chose to explore the building.

Entering the elevator once again, Wen Xishu noticed the staff standing with their back to him had been replaced by a slightly broad-backed older woman.

The original staff had been easily killed by Wen Xishu using Scorpio’s ham knife in Desire Tower.

Wen Xishu used the same method, summoning the mirror, arriving at the forty-third floor. This time he went downwards. The entrance and staircase on the forty-second floor were still guarded.

The guards did not notice Wen Xishu.

Wen Xishu didn’t charge forward to kill the guards like last time.

Because the guards in Desire Tower might be easy to kill, but the ones in Deceit Tower were uncertain.

These guards perhaps could instantly kill him. Deceit Tower had an Anti-Magic Value system, making Wen Xishu, who had an insufficient Anti-Magic Value, wary of being reckless.

”No changes...I didn’t find guards on other floors, only one in the elevator.”

”The forty-second floor is still unattainable directly. It seems that the Reverse Seven Plan hasn’t changed much...it only evolved from one tower to seven towers according to the story background.”

”An Rongzai indeed is a remarkable person, but how did he manage to have Scorpio expand the scale several times to assist him again?”

Wen Xishu’s hand touched the necklace given by Wenren Mirror:

”Without An Jincheng and An Youxuan...who would be living on the forty-second floor then?”
