Three Towers Game

Chapter 191: Chapter 91 Perfect Display_3

They have an extreme hatred for humans. Regarding Slaughter Tower, there are a few survival tips: don’t try to communicate with the monsters, don’t try to play the emotional card.

In Slaughter Tower, doing any of this is already too late.

The monsters in Slaughter Tower basically start fighting upon encounter, without any introductory pleasantries.

Right now, it’s Deceit Tower where this elite creature can still speak, so it’s not yet at the level of Slaughter Tower.

Just follow the instructions given by the creature.

Wen Xishu took out the controller:

”You may begin.”

The skull-faced creature nodded, then started strumming the guitar.

The furious music began.

Wen Xishu didn’t know much about musical notes, but in his previous life, he had watched a lot of street dance videos and remembered some very explosive moves.

He originally thought the hidden task this time was to manipulate Zheng Zai to perform these dance moves...

But he suddenly realized he had overcomplicated things.

Actually, this hidden task was quite simple.

”Huh? So this is how you play?”

When the notes started, Wen Xishu actually saw a row of directional arrows. ←←↑←→→...

His reaction was quick, immediately realizing he had to quickly press these directions according to the rhythm.

It’s worth mentioning that the four joysticks were of different colors, and the arrows in his view were also of different colors.

He understood that arrows of different colors had to be pressed with the corresponding colored joystick.

This significantly increased the difficulty.

But this wasn’t too difficult for Wen Xishu.

Wen Xishu’s fingers moved swiftly, and Zheng Zai started dancing.

However, the dance moves... were really hard to look at. Strangely, Wen Xishu thought of Nissen.

Nissen’s awkward dancing was also quite something. It had a sort of clash-of-the-titans feeling.

But the skull-faced creature was strangely satisfied.

The number of directions gradually increased, and the joysticks switched more frequently. Wen Xishu handled it with great ease.

Actually, this was just a complex version of the QTE (Quick Time Event) gameplay.

Wen Xishu perfectly responded to each direction represented by the notes, gradually, he could even tell the direction just by listening to the notes.

His adaptability astonished the boss-like skull-faced creature.

The game’s difficulty continued to increase.

Some arrows started showing the word ”reverse”.

This meant that an arrow originally pointing left needed the joystick to be pushed to the right, and an arrow originally pointing upwards needed the joystick to be pushed downwards.

Arrows with a reverse mark needed to be pushed in the opposite direction.

But Wen Xishu didn’t find this difficult, his hand speed slightly slowed, but still managed to keep up with the notes.

Next to him, Zheng Zai, if he had Nissen with him, they might end up with the ”please stop fighting” dance move.

Wen Xishu thought the game’s difficulty was manageable, it was just Zheng Zai’s dance moves were too embarrassing, greatly affecting him, otherwise, he definitely could press the buttons even faster...

Before long, the song ended.

Wen Xishu completed the challenge with zero errors.

The skull-faced creature tilted its head and looked at Wen Xishu:

”You’re quite good, you do suit this item. Good luck. You can leave now.”

Wang Ying and Aspasia, outside the TV, exchanged glances, both somewhat surprised.

At this moment, everyone received a prompt. This prompt made Zheng Zai delighted.

[You have completed the extended task, the Friend Controller will no longer consume item carry slots.]

Zheng Zai discovered that now when he stared at the controller, he could see the complete information.

[Item Name: Friend Controller]

[Item Description: Do you have the kind of good friend willing to let you decide everything? If yes, perhaps you can rely on this to overcome difficulties.]

[Item Attributes: Gain partial capabilities and skills based on the controlled person’s trust in the controller and the controlled person’s initial abilities. But these skills require corresponding commands to be completed for usage.]

The item color was purple. If not in Three Towers Academy, this was something ordinary people might never see in their lifetime.

Zheng Zai delighted:

”With this, Younger Brother Wen, teaming up in the future will be much easier! Plus, it doesn’t use up item slots!”

In other words, after clearing twelve levels, choosing this item named ”Friend Controller” means it can be taken along without affecting the carrying of other items.

This was good news. Wen Xishu also saw the controller’s attributes, which were quite impressive. Zheng Zai’s trust in him also fulfilled one of the conditions for completing the hidden task.

But Wen Xishu was surprised... Where’s my invitation letter?

It’s only the third level and he’s already using outer rules. Without Scorpio’s cheating knife, he might have struggled to pass, and Zheng Zai might even have gotten hurt.

Judging by the difficulty span of these levels, Wen Xishu could imagine how hard the subsequent levels would be.

If he didn’t have an invitation letter, he wasn’t confident he could always be this lucky exploring the origins in Desire Tower.

So, with no invitation letter as the hidden task reward, it gave Wen Xishu a bit of a headache.

The two quickly returned to the hospital wing.

Wang Ying and Aspasia looked at the controller with a somewhat greedy gaze.

But when Aspasia noticed the details of the controller, the desire wasn’t as strong...

This controller’s design was too complicated.

They didn’t know the final hidden task directional arrows seen only by Wen Xishu, nor the item’s true attributes known only to Wen Xishu and Zheng Zai.

Wang Ying said:

”Congratulations to you both, you did great, I feel ashamed, Younger Brother Wen, Brother Zheng Zai, awesome! With you two, we can definitely make it out alive! When we get to the Bunker, you will be friends of our Stone Gambling Society!”
