Three Towers Game

Chapter 173: Chapter 86: The Museum in the Mental Hospital

Wen Xishu decided to squeeze Xie Changfeng:

”I can help you, I can put aside our past grudges. After all, I now just want to live in the Bunker as an ordinary person, I won’t offend you.”

”But Mr. Xie, asking for help comes with a price, doesn’t it?”

Xie Changfeng thought for a moment:

”I have an item that can be used in the Desire Tower... I’ll give it to you. As long as I can survive, I’ll give it to you!”

Wen Xishu accepted the request:

”Then I’ll repay evil with good. I accept your request, you give me the item, and I’ll give you some simplified information about this task.”

”Deal, here you go!”

As he spoke, Xie Changfeng took out a small item, a business card. A blue item.

The effect of the item is that when you hand out the business card, the other party must also hand theirs out.

It’s a tool for forced information exchange; the card will quietly return to your pocket in an hour.

It’s not a one-time use item.

Even though Xie Changfeng knew this item was precious and that Wen Xishu wasn’t trustworthy.

But as long as he could survive, it was akin to atonement. Relying on connections, he could still get a desk job in the Security Bureau without needing to climb any towers in the future.

Even if he had to climb, it wouldn’t be the Deceit Tower.

So Xie Changfeng could only gamble. He had asked around, and no one knew the strategy. Now that Wen Xishu knew, he was resistant inside but had no choice.

Wen Xishu directly pocketed the business card, saying:

”This task isn’t actually difficult. When you go in, there are four scenes. The first scene is in the study, where there is a piece of women’s clothing that is out of place with the other items; you just need to purify it. The second item is in the bedroom. There’s a bowl of porridge emitting a black light; drink it and then purify the guitar next to it.”

”The third item is in the office. Remember, don’t move. When laughter sounds, silently recite the names of every member of your family.”

Zheng Zai’s face twitched, thinking to himself, how ruthless Younger Brother Wen is.

If it weren’t for the iron mask covering his mouth, his expression would have given him away.

Wen Xishu said:

”That’s the entire strategy. Believe it or not, good luck.”

The other party had no choice but to believe him, so Wen Xishu arrogantly turned around.

Time was almost up; he just went to see if there were any new teammates.

Xie Changfeng thought about it, Wen Xishu was just a student, a newly-adult kid, how bad could he be? Albert and Liu Jinsen both touted themselves as righteous people.

Especially Liu Jinsen. Becoming friends with Liu Jinsen, he thought Wen Xishu shouldn’t harm him.

Besides, he had taken his item, this person should have at least some credibility, right?

His mood visibly improved:

”As long as I complete this task, I’ll go back and start a business, find an exit route for myself.”

...

...

Zheng Zai did not question Wen Xishu’s reasons. Wen Xishu had saved him more than once. In his view, if Younger Brother Wen acted this way, there must be a reason.

The two quickly returned to the central area, and Wen Xishu discovered... there really were new teammates.

Wang Ying said:

”You two are finally here, let me introduce you. This is our new teammate, Tong Ming, from the mental hospital on the fourth layer.”

Tong Ming was squatting on the ground, looking about the same age as Wen Xishu, both just newly adults.

He squatted on the ground, turned his head, and glanced at Wen Xishu.

Wen Xishu also examined Tong Ming.

”Don’t be fooled by his age, he’s explored the Deceit Tower four times. His Anti-Magic Value is the same as mine, nine,” Wang Ying said.

Tong Ming continued squatting but extended his hand:

”We are now teammates.”

Wen Xishu did not resist and shook hands with Tong Ming.

At that moment, he felt a coldness erode him.

This kid has a sequence.

Tong Ming was also quite surprised:

”Hmm? Interesting. I’m starting to look forward to this journey.”

He smiled, a pure smile, looking harmless.

But Wen Xishu knew this smile well. In his previous life, he had shown this smile after killing his parents.

Given that this person came from a mental hospital, Wen Xishu guessed he might have severe antisocial personality disorder.

Just good at hiding it.

This wasn’t deduced information; it was purely a guess, a judgment of the same kind by the same kind.

”I am also looking forward to it. Let’s not delay anymore,” Wen Xishu said.

He genuinely looked forward to it. Having a mental patient explore a mental hospital might yield unexpected results.

Wang Ying was slightly displeased with Wen Xishu’s tendency to give orders, but he still pretended to be open-minded:

”Everyone, see you at the Deceit Tower.”

Wang Ying, Aspasia, Zheng Zai, Tong Ming, and Wen Xishu, the five-person team, disappeared from the rest area.

Wen Xishu’s fourth journey into Deceit Tower officially began.

...

...

Deceit Tower, eighth layer.

Location, Jiangcheng, fourth mental hospital, fourth floor of the inpatient department.

The flickering incandescent lights made the corridor atmosphere somewhat eerie.

Wen Xishu and Wang Ying and the others all appeared at the stairwell on the fourth floor of the inpatient department.

Everyone received the same prompt.

[Welcome to the Curious Museum. In each ward, there is an interesting item from the great inventor. Although he is dead, these items are his masterpieces. Please explore and identify the items.]

[Note, after identifying the items, you will enter the item usage phase. Please carefully choose the items.]

This was the prompt everyone received.

Wen Xishu received an additional prompt.

[The orange item you hold will provide you with the following function throughout this tower-climbing round:]

[Function name: Teaming]

[Function description: You can select a teammate to enter team status. In team status, non-teammates cannot view your id in any way, nor can they view your items and attributes in any way. At the same time, in team status, you cannot harm your teammates, and your teammates cannot harm you.]
