Li ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍Tianwei had not expected the System to say something like that. He also felt that the System did not seem completely useless after all. At the very least, it was beginning to understand reason.

“Main ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍System?”

“I ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍didn’t expect there to be something like that behind you. Why have I never heard you mention it before?”

Li ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍Tianwei also became interested in the Main System the System had mentioned.

【I ‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍never told you?】

The System was somewhat puzzled when Li Tianwei asked, because in its memory, it seemed to have mentioned it before.

Seeing the System say this, Li Tianwei frowned. In Li Tianwei’s recollection, the System had never mentioned it at all.

The System could not exactly argue with Li Tianwei, but it was normal for something to have been overlooked. Ever since it entered Li Tianwei’s consciousness, the System had never actually bound itself to Li Tianwei.

Later, after realizing just how terrifying Li Tianwei was, the System also discovered that there was not much assistance it could provide him.

Moreover, the System even suspected that if it did give Li Tianwei something, he probably would not accept it anyway.

So! Their interactions had basically amounted to bickering with each other.

Even the only time the System had ever helped him, all it received was Li Tianwei’s disdain. The System itself could not understand how a System like it had fallen to such a state.

Therefore, the two of them had actually not communicated that much. Since transmigrating, they had known each other for less than two years.

【I probably overlooked mentioning it.】

【Actually, even I don’t know what the Main System is. Anyway, after I was created, I already possessed an awareness of its existence.】

【I brought people across worlds in accordance with the Main System’s commands.】

【According to its missions, everything we Systems do is bring people from other worlds across, then issue missions, cultivate them until they become powerful, and ultimately accomplish the objective of saving that world.】

【Once that is completed, we receive Heavenly Grace, which can be used to strengthen ourselves and extend the duration for which our data can continue to exist.】

【Of course, a portion also has to be allocated to the Main System.】

Based on its own understanding, the System explained the elusive Main System.

By the time Li Tianwei heard this much, he had already lowered his head and begun pondering.

“Issuing missions? And where does the power you use to cultivate transmigrators come from?”

Li Tianwei continued asking.

【The power is granted by heaven and earth. Because transmigrators come from other worlds, they are generally easier to control than the native inhabitants. The special nature of transmigrators also means they aren’t subjected to as much control by the rules of heaven and earth.】

【According to the Main System, they’re puppets that are easy to control.】

【You could say that all the Hosts brought by us Systems are people without much independent consciousness. By taking advantage of the power their status as beings from other worlds provides, we can borrow enormous amounts of power from heaven and earth, and then we turn that power into mission rewards and distribute it to them.】

【Meanwhile, we Systems also obtain power from heaven and earth in the process, along with the Heavenly Grace granted afterward.】

【Those previous Hosts were all the same kind of people, without the slightest self-awareness. They relied on completing missions to obtain illusory power, and eventually, they would all become just like the people of the worlds they transmigrated into, throwing their weight around and abusing their power.】

【Precisely because of this, after completing our mission in a world, we could comfortably abandon them there and return to the Main System, while they remained in the original world and slowly repaid the power they had previously borrowed from heaven and earth.】

【Back then, I only thought of them as puppets on strings. But looking back now, wasn’t laughing at them the same as laughing at myself! I’m nothing more than a puppet on the Main System’s strings too.】

The System continued speaking, becoming extremely helpless toward the end.

【Rather than saying I want to become the Main System, it would be more accurate to say that I simply want to break free and understand my own self.】

After saying this, the System cautiously watched for changes in Li Tianwei’s expression.

After hearing everything, Li Tianwei was not surprised in the slightest.

As for where the power granted by the System came from, Li Tianwei had already had a rough idea.

There was no such thing as power obtained from nothing. A System could not simply issue a few missions and allow someone to obtain limitless power.

Even if the System offered him that kind of power, Li Tianwei would not touch a single bit of it.

“I basically understand.”

“In other words, you’re still as useless as before. Nothing you said contained any important information.”

Li Tianwei gently shook his head, just as he had before.

【The Main System’s authority represents everything. As nothing more than data, it’s extremely difficult for me to break through it. I can only obey its commands.】

The System was also extremely embarrassed.

After all, regarding an existence like the Main System, there were countless Systems just like it beneath the Main System.

The purpose of its existence was that simple: trick people into transmigrating, exploit loopholes in worlds, and then obtain Heavenly Grace.

As for whether they were truly saving those worlds, even the System itself had its doubts.

“However, I imagine we’ll soon have an answer as to exactly what kind of existence this Main System of yours is.”

“Since you’re my System, and I said I’d carry you to the top, naturally I can’t abandon you. Who told me to be your Host!”

Li Tianwei slowly raised his head and looked toward the heavens, where golden light had manifested and supreme grace descended.

At this point, as long as Li Tianwei wished it, he could ascend directly.

【Host, Host, you’re too good to me.】

After receiving Li Tianwei’s definite answer, the System was already trembling slightly with excitement.

“Hold on tight.”

Li Tianwei reminded the System.

【Yes, Host.】

The System answered with absolute certainty.

“Since I’m going to ascend, this little bit of power definitely won’t be enough.”

“Break through.”

Without the slightest hesitation, Li Tianwei raised a hand and silently uttered those words.

Rumble, beneath the Heavenly Grace in the sky, a mass of dark clouds descended. Lightning flashed and thunder roared, accompanied by an aura of destruction.

From this sight alone, it was perfectly possible to identify this as a Heavenly Tribulation.

And this tribulation was Li Tianwei’s Divine Transformation Tribulation.

As long as he passed it, Li Tianwei would become a Divine Transformation Realm cultivator. Upon reaching this stage, he would be capable of manifesting a Dharma Manifestation, turning the illusory into reality and bringing it forth into the physical world.

Condensing the spirit and transforming it into a manifestation……

Faced with the unknown Main System, as well as the currently sealed Immortal Cultivation World.

Li Tianwei directly chose to make a breakthrough on the eve of battle, intending to face those unknowns at the Divine Transformation Realm.

Was the realm above the heavens still the Immortal Realm?

Everything remained unknown.

Rumble, crack……

Destructive, annihilating, and oppressive power surged forth.

At this moment, a terrifying rift visibly appeared across the heavens.

Countless phenomena emerged. There seemed to be a Heavenly Stairway leading straight through the clouds, and above those clouds, a massive gate stood towering in the heavens.

All these phenomena indicated that this tribulation was no ordinary Divine Transformation Tribulation. The power of this tribulation had already reached the might of an Ascension Tribulation.

By successfully passing it, Li Tianwei would not only reach the Divine Transformation Realm, but could also directly enter the Immortal Realm.

However, the manifestation of the Heavenly Tribulation was merely the beginning. Above the Heavenly Tribulation, a ring of light appeared, immediately followed by another ring, continuously stacking one upon another.

With every additional ring, the might of the Heavenly Tribulation visibly doubled.
