Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1164: Chapter 1162: Siege Troops, Undead Golem

Ever since Luna gained the Mirror Demon City, her abilities related to mirrors have significantly improved.

Now the special mirror Luna gave to Gu Xi not only allows Luna to converse with Gu Xi, but also transmits some visuals or attributes.

The attributes of this skin are what has been transferred over.

As soon as Eldest Princess Anna mentioned the newly transformed Undead, two images appeared right in front of Gu Xi.

They were images of mammoth bones and Tyrannosaurus bones.

These mammoth and Tyrannosaurus bones are quite complete, and they have bones with tents and protective gear made of wood. ℯℯ𝘭.

Inside the mammoth and Tyrannosaurus, there are weapons like crossbow carriages.

”What is this?”

”New species obtained after killing enemy mammoths and Tyrannosaurus.

They are considered part assault weapon, part combat unit.”

Eldest Princess Anna responded immediately.

”The attributes have been clarified, and now sent to you, additionally, let me mention, these species in a unit count as one whole, and we don’t have many in our possession. If needed, we must consider building a siege workshop.”

After glancing at the information sent by Eldest Princess Anna, Gu Xi focused his gaze again on the mammoth bones and Tyrannosaurus bones.

The information has been transmitted before Gu Xi.

These mammoth or Tyrannosaurus bone frames have a decent name, called Undead Golem.

[Undead Golem (Level 9, Siege Weapon): Experience (0/5750), Weapon Slot (1/3), Armor Slot (4/8), Auxiliary Slot (0/5), Ammunition Storage (0/2), Required Soldiers (9/9), Transport Soldiers (0/30), Skills: Charge, Battle Cry, Elemental Enhancement.]

The attributes before his eyes seem simple, but upon closer inspection, different types of Undead Golems actually have different focal points.

The mammoth-typed Undead Golem somewhat resembles a combination of an assault vehicle and a tank.

Although capable of installing three pieces of siege weaponry, Gu Xi clearly noticed, aside from the crossbow carriage already installed beneath the mammoth’s abdomen, there are two more installation slots at the tusks.

It’s obvious these are meant for metal weapons like battering rams.

The mammoth’s sides are protected with thick wooden planks and heavy armor, such planks are generally used for making ship decks.

Now draped over the mammoth’s sides, naturally safeguarding against enemy attacks on the mammoth, while also providing defense for the mammoth’s abdominal space.

Because there lies a three-layer cabin, not too large, with the bottom layer as the ammunition storage to supply the crossbow carriage below, and each of the other two layers having fifteen seats.

This space is meant for troop transportation.

Additionally, the mammoth’s head has three driving seats, and the back has room for six combat spots, tasked with securing the safety of the mammoth, and replacing fallen drivers.

It’s evident, this mammoth-typed Undead Golem utilizes heavy armor and a charge-centered combat style.

At most, it incorporates some troop transporting functions.

Besides this, there are no other notable features.

Yet judging by the current attributes and setup, it’s clear these mammoths have certain advantages in siege warfare.

The thick armor on the mammoth provides adequate defensive power.

And the tusks’ siege weaponry, not yet installed, allows this Undead Golem to ignore attacks on the city wall, directly charging against it.

With greater numbers, there’s definitely potential to penetrate the city walls, deploying troops from the abdominal cabin right into the city.

Unlike the mammoth-typed Undead Golem.

The Tyrannosaurus-typed Undead Golem clearly serves a different function.

Installed in the Tyrannosaurus’ mouth is a crossbow carriage, yet Gu Xi discovers the real key to the Tyrannosaurus-type is its short arms.

Those should be meant for installing Iron Hooks and similar items.

If the mammoth-typed Undead Golem is akin to a battering ram, then the Tyrannosaurus-typed Undead Golem is comparable to a siege tower.

As soon as the Tyrannosaurus-typed Undead Golem places its hands on the city wall, its inner troops can rush up the wall along the Tyrannosaurus’ fore paws.

Even if someone tries to push the Tyrannosaurus away, it won’t be possible.

Judging by the current situation, the Tyrannosaurus’ hind legs are very powerful, and its tail can support the ground, ensuring the Tyrannosaurus won’t be toppled.

Additionally, subsequent troops can rush onto the city wall from the Tyrannosaurus’ tail, creating a continuous offensive.

Upon understanding these two types of Undead Golems’ situations, Gu Xi instantly grasped Eldest Princess Anna’s meaning.

”Let’s build a siege workshop, move the siege weapons and machinery parts from the Blacksmith Shop, we need to specifically craft various siege weapons and matched equipment, ammunition and such.

As for the Undead Golems, let me think of a plan. If we lack supply, didn’t we carry some mammoth and Tyrannosaurus corpses into the battle?

Start by using those to create some.

If that doesn’t work, we can resort to archaeology.”

Mentions of archaeology led Gu Xi to glance at Kro.

Kro, having visited numerous archaeological sites, certainly knows some burial grounds of various dinosaurs, right?

If possible, Gu Xi very much wants to obtain resources there.

Yet Kro is unaware of Gu Xi’s current thoughts.

He’s examining the images of the Undead Golems.

Regarding the Undead Golems before him, Kro is somewhat intrigued.

Though Kro had encountered Undead Mages before, it’s rather rare to see such utilization of mammoth and Tyrannosaurus bones.

Taking a glance here, Kro couldn’t help but add.

”Quite a pity, these beastmen don’t have Behemoths; if they did, these mammoths and Tyrannosaurus wouldn’t matter.”

Gu Xi is familiar with Behemoth creatures.

The land’s mightiest wasn’t merely boasted.

That’s based on solid battle achievements.

Yet Kro’s claim doesn’t convince Gu Xi.

For if Behemoths truly existed, Gu Xi wouldn’t even transform them into these Undead Golems.

Being the land’s ultimate species, Behemoths have long been thoroughly researched by Undead Mages.

There are specialized Summoning and transformation methods for Behemoth corpses.

Gu Xi found the corresponding transformation methodology in Ancestor City’s Library.

If Behemoths were encountered, Gu Xi would surely apply the transformation method immediately, rather waste Behemoth corpses turning them into Undead Golems.

But naturally, Gu Xi isn’t about to discuss this with Kro.

At this moment, new images arrive from Anna.

This time it’s pictures of various birds.

”Sir, I believe we need a Flying Team.

In this battle, upon closer inquiry, our newly trained Stone Golems were insufficient against increasingly strong foes.

Later in the battle, it was solely Bone Dragons combating in the sky.

It’s a waste, even if we can’t dominate the skies, we must at least ensure we possess self-preserving abilities up there.

These are the converted Undead Species after taking down Griffin, Golden Eagle, and other Flying Team opponents.

We now require training grounds and resources to enhance the Flying Team...”
