The Chaoyang Radiance Guild’s store is located near the market not far from the grand plaza, and a fierce weasel dressed in a small suit manages it.

”What do you want?”

After the Undead Mage presented a priority pickup slip, the fierce weasel looked at Gu Xi.

”Based on your current level, you can take a hundred Undead from me, plus goods worth no more than 300 yuan. Don’t worry, these items have internal discounts, and 300 yuan is about enough to buy a blue quality weapon or equipment.”

”And a steed, this is on me,” added the Undead Mage who brought Gu Xi over.

”Alright, I’ll pick a better steed for him. What about you, have you thought about what you want? The blue quality weapons and equipment are over here.”

”I don’t want a blue weapon. I’d like to ask, if I exchange for ten units of mercury with this amount, how much magic potion can I get? I want the kind that instantly replenishes all mana.”

The fierce weasel looked up and down at Gu Xi, curious about his question.

”How much mana do you have right now?”

”800 points, and if possible, I can temporarily increase it by another 100.”

”Oh, this is quite a high mana for a level 3 Undead Mage. In that case, I personally recommend this 1000-point medium blue bottle, 10 yuan each. If you want ten units of mercury, you can also get another ten medium blue bottles.”

Gu Xi didn’t speak but turned to look at the Undead Mage.

The Undead Mage nodded to Gu Xi, indicating that the price was acceptable.

Gu Xi decisively said, ”Deal.”

Although a bit surprised that Gu Xi didn’t want a blue equipment, the fierce weasel wasn’t one to talk much. He didn’t try to persuade Gu Xi to buy a good weapon, only accepted the 300 yuan temporarily paid by the Undead Mage, and delivered the items Gu Xi needed.

The medium blue bottles delivered were crystal bottles the size of fists, containing a blue potion. Just holding the blue potion bottles, Gu Xi could feel his mana being stimulated.

Drinking this potion would surely replenish his consumed mana in a short time.

As for the mercury, it was contained in a lead canister the size of a human head, with Gu Xi even able to faintly sense wailing voices coming from within the mercury.

This was the special mercury needed by the Undead.

The mercury was just an ordinary material, but with some soul fragments added inside, it gained special effects.

After checking the quantity of mercury, Gu Xi nodded to the Undead Mage.

”Okay, just need a steed, and that’ll be it.”

The Undead Mage was quite satisfied with Gu Xi’s attitude, feeling that knowing what he wants and choosing quickly was the conduct expected from a guild player.

Picking and choosing in a guild store wasn’t the mark of a good player.

Only someone like Gu Xi, with the guild in mind, was a good brother in arms.

The Undead Mage nodded with satisfaction and prepared to select a better steed for Gu Xi.

As for the hundred Undead soldiers, there was no need to choose— the guild had corresponding regulations. Level 3 players arranging for a hundred Undead soldiers could only allocate level 3 Skeleton Soldiers.

Everything had been prepared beforehand; once Gu Xi selected his items, the Undead Mage would see him off.

Now, he just had to select a steed with quick mobility for Gu Xi.

”Let me see, this one. Hey, Gu Xi comrade, come take a look at this steed I picked for you.”

The Undead Mage pulled Gu Xi aside, and upon seeing the steed chosen for him, Gu Xi didn’t know how to react.

He was well aware that Bailian City, being a city with an undead-themed style, would have an Underworld-like atmosphere.

But this steed was way too Underworld-style.

The steed picked by the Undead Mage was a regular-sized red lacquered coffin, with its surface covered in various talismans. It even had two layers of thick iron chains wrapped around it.

Yet, despite this, the coffin lid would occasionally bounce up, and every time it did, some black mist would seep out.

”This is it, what do you think, comrade?”

Gu Xi originally just wanted a regular warhorse, but seeing the look in the Undead Mage’s eyes, he stepped forward to take a look.

[Evil Coffin (White, Mount): Undead Element player and hero mount, speed of 80 kilometers per hour, can carry one person.]

”It’s... okay, I guess.”

”As long as you think it’s okay. I must tell you, this is the best among white-quality mounts. Typically, the speed of white mounts is around 60 kilometers per hour; this one can reach 80, which is quite good.

The most important part is to look here— did you see this talisman? This is the Divine Travel Talisman, though this talisman is no longer effective, it shows that talismans can be placed on the evil coffin.

When you return, I’ll help you apply to learn some talisman techniques. Once you stick talismans on the coffin, its speed can increase some more. Then no one can catch up with you— it would be quite impressive.”

Gu Xi could only nod in agreement with the Undead Mage’s words.

Later, the Undead Mage took Gu Xi to take charge of the allocated hundred Undead soldiers, then dragged him to the login device for entering the Game World.

”Hey comrade, can we wait a bit? I need to manage these things first.”

Listening to Gu Xi’s request, the Undead Mage wasn’t in a hurry to send him into the game.

Taking this opportunity, Gu Xi sent the newly acquired hundred Undead soldiers and ten units of mercury back to Yalidov City.

While sending the soldiers back, Gu Xi specifically wrote a note to Luna.

The note instructed Luna to send all hundred Skeleton Soldiers to the Bone-Slaying Camp to replenish the loss of troops there.

Meanwhile, the ten units of mercury were for constructing the Longgu Laboratory; once the market and warehouse in the Pier District were built, Luna needed to focus on the Longgu Laboratory.

After all, once the Longgu Laboratory was built, it would be significantly beneficial for Gu Xi to unleash Death Incarnation.

At that time, Gu Xi would only need to summon Death Incarnation once and maintain its undying state.

No longer would it be as described in the skill, consuming all of Gu Xi’s mana to summon during each battle, then dispersing after the fight ends.

If battles were to continue like that, even having more Blue Bottles wouldn’t withstand the mana consumption.

The Undead Mage didn’t comment on Gu Xi’s method of sending the Undead soldiers back to the city.

In his view, this was the advantage of Death City’s Divine Skill.

When not needed, soldiers wouldn’t be by your side, and only during battle would they appear on the battlefield.
