Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 55: Chapter 53: Contracted Undead, Shaya

”Relax, I can help you.”

Gu Xi patted Shaya’s hand and channeled a portion of negative energy into her body.

Then Gu Xi didn’t use the Soul Summoning Skill, but instead kept talking about how he had conquered the ruins and killed the Twisted Mage stationed there.

Gu Xi knew very well that such undead that transform autonomously will carry a certain degree of wisdom and memory.

Using Soul Summoning Skill at this time would instead disrupt this undead transformation.

Even if Gu Xi couldn’t provide Shaya with better environmental support, he wouldn’t destroy all this.

Under Gu Xi’s comfort, Shaya’s originally distorted face slowly became calm, and the wound on her abdomen visibly began to heal.

As everything seemed to be going in a good direction, Gu Xi suddenly noticed that Shaya’s complexion turned pale and her skin started showing a lot of corpse spots.

”The transformation is about to fail, how is this possible?”

Gu Xi immediately realized what was happening, but he couldn’t quite believe his own judgment.

Everything had obviously been moving in a positive direction, so how could it suddenly plummet so sharply?

”Could it be insufficient negative energy?” Gu Xi glanced around; apart from Shaya’s body, many human corpses were hanging here, which should be the experimental materials, food, or even the final resurrection energy source for those Twisted Mages.

Gu Xi initially thought about transporting these corpses back to Yalidov after the Skeleton Soldiers cleared the ruins outside.

Now that Shaya had an issue, Gu Xi couldn’t care about that anymore. He pointed at those corpses and started extracting the negative energy and aura of death they emitted to compensate for Shaya’s losses.

Under Gu Xi’s manipulation, a large amount of black, gray, and purple aura was drawn from the corpses and infused into Shaya’s body.

But Gu Xi found that even after supplementing with this negative energy, Shaya’s body continued to deteriorate, and from the current situation, she couldn’t hold on until the transformation succeeded; her body was on the verge of failure.

This situation left Gu Xi speechless; although he had never encountered such a thing before, his grades were among the top in his class when he was in school.

All kinds of situations that appear in autonomous undead transformation are recorded in books.

The current situation clearly showed that Shaya’s body was lacking some parts, which caused the transformation to deteriorate.

Why was it still not working even though he supplemented it according to the book’s method?

Just when Gu Xi was at a loss, he suddenly thought of a possibility.

Could it be that the revived old Twisted Mage had extracted Shaya’s life force?

Thinking of this, Gu Xi quickly took out the Resurrection Stone.

Sure enough, when the Resurrection Stone was taken out, Shaya’s body moved slightly toward it.

This was the instinctual action of the undead for the parts they were missing.

It seemed to be true.

A thought flashed in Gu Xi’s mind. He originally planned to return and sign a contract with Shaya once she transformed into an undead on her own.

Now it seemed to be impossible; he needed to manually intervene and adjust Shaya’s transformation, otherwise such a good seedling as Shaya would be ruined.

With this in mind, Gu Xi quickly rummaged through the various materials he had on hand.

Materials obtained after slaying those Twisted Mages and things bought at the flea market were all turned over.

At the same time, plan after plan quickly formed in Gu Xi’s mind, only to be quickly overturned.

In the end, relying on Level 3 Undead Knowledge and Level 4 Magic Knowledge, Gu Xi finally pieced together a fairly feasible solution.

After confirming the plan, Gu Xi quickly took action. He knew that Shaya was in a very dangerous situation, and if he didn’t handle it quickly, every minute of delay would pose an additional risk to her condition.

Even if all of Gu Xi’s arrangements succeeded, the transformation might still fail if delayed to the end.

So Gu Xi straightforwardly utilized everything he could.

He used the kitchen knife borrowed from Liao to reopen the wound on Shaya’s freshly healed abdomen.

At the same time, Gu Xi took the Resurrection Stone from the ring and forcefully secured it to the eleventh vertebra of Shaya’s spine.

After securing it, Gu Xi tore the Magic Pattern Cloth into strips, tightly wrapping the Resurrection Stone to prevent it from possibly falling off.

Once all this was done, Gu Xi put Shaya’s organs back in place, and when returning the heart, he injected the Demonized Heart Blood into it.

After placing all the organs back in their original positions, Gu Xi used Magic Pattern Cloth to bandage Shaya’s wound, and finally placed the Dead Magic Mirror on the wound.

Shaya’s current condition was a lack of vitality and death qi.

Everything had been drawn out by the Resurrection Stone.

Although Gu Xi planned to use some methods to force out the power inside the Resurrection Stone, some things are not so easily replenished once lost.

Gu Xi didn’t want to waste such a good material as Shaya, so the Dead Magic Mirror was naturally taken out.

After placing everything properly, Gu Xi used blood to paint a magic array on Shaya, and finally helped put Shaya’s clothes back on.

After doing everything, Gu Xi took a deep breath, taking out a complete soul that had been collected earlier and injected it into Shaya one by one.

As these souls were infused, Shaya’s skin began to become smooth, the color of the skin turned a bit bluish-gray, but the previous state of decay disappeared completely.

At the same time, Shaya’s eyes became mercurial, with irises and whites completely gone, looking extremely eerie.

Seeing the change in Shaya, Gu Xi finally breathed a sigh of relief, as at last it was moving in a positive direction.

So Gu Xi took out a piece of Magic Pattern Cloth and quickly began writing an Undead Contract.

The format of the Undead Contract is actually the same, but writing it without an available contract slot would be in vain and wouldn’t be recognized by the system.

Gu Xi just happened to have an undead contract slot, so the process of making the Undead Contract went smoothly.

As he rolled up the Undead Contract, Shaya also sat up rigidly from the ground.

Before Shaya could look at Gu Xi, he quickly handed over the Undead Contract, with a faint blue Soul Light Group appearing in his hand.

”My name is Gu Xi, and I hope to enter into a contract with you, borrowing your strength to fight for me.”

”I... am willing to fight for you.”
