Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 78: Chapter 76: The Threat of Death

Just as Gu Xi’s forces were about to collide with the black Shadowy Squad, a giant black eye suddenly appeared atop the Boundary Tower.

With the appearance of the black eye, Gu Xi also noticed the situation on the Boundary Tower. The Level 5 Magic Illusion was standing on top of the Boundary Tower, turning itself into flame, pushing the black eye’s ascent.

Beside this Magic Illusion were three black Illusion Legions, continuously injecting some kind of black power into the Magic Illusion at this moment.

The black eye raised by the Magic Illusion was the result of their effort.

Although he didn’t know what the black eye’s purpose was, anyone with a brain wouldn’t believe it’s anything good.

”Death Incarnation, prepare Death Dragon Breath, extinguish the eye at the top of the tower and all those illusions for me.”

”Luna, ignore the others, focus on dealing with those guys in the open space.”

With a glance at the current situation, Gu Xi made a decisive decision.

Under Gu Xi’s command, the Death Incarnation in the state of a Bone Dragon flew straight out of Gu Xi’s domain.

The momentum of Level 11 instantly drew everyone’s attention.

The already twisted black face of the Magic Illusion at the top of the Boundary Tower became even more twisted.

He never expected to encounter something like this.

All he did was activate the magic cannon at the top of the Boundary Tower, so why was he targeted?

In fact, he didn’t understand that he was targeted completely because he was too ostentatious.

Such a big eye, Gu Xi didn’t know what this thing could do, and it occupied half of the Shadowy Squad’s forces in the outpost, who else would Gu Xi target?

After the Death Incarnation flew out from Gu Xi’s domain, it opened its mouth in the sky, and the green breath gathered in the Bone Dragon’s mouth, resembling the charging of a laser cannon.

The Magic Illusion at the top of the Boundary Tower couldn’t care about anything else, he frantically mobilized his strange power, making the eye stare at the approaching Bone Dragon in the sky.

However, the Bone Dragon’s speed was obviously beyond normal, and most importantly, the Bone Dragon’s void effect was quite strong. When it took off, it flashed a long distance.

Ordinary folks couldn’t keep up with the Bone Dragon’s speed, let alone lock onto its position.

With a few flickers, the Bone Dragon had already reached a position about a hundred meters near the Boundary Tower.

At this time, the Magic Illusion above managed to lock onto the Bone Dragon’s position, but his action was a step too late. The Bone Dragon opened its mouth and sprayed directly at the black eye atop the Boundary Tower.

A green beam as thick as a person sprayed out from the Bone Dragon’s mouth.

When this beam sprayed out, people nearby seemed to hear countless voices wailing the same word.

’Ah... Da Gua...’

The sound layered over itself, indistinguishable if it was male or female.

But those who heard this sound could feel a determination to die within it.

Either kill the enemy or get killed by the enemy.

The green beam hit the black eye directly.

The huge eye exploded on the spot, and the Magic Illusion standing beneath it was immediately affected, turning into black powder in the explosion.

The Death Incarnation did not retract the beam afterward, but flicked its head, and the green beam swept horizontally across the top of the Boundary Tower.

All the black illusions touched by the green beam vaporized on the spot, disappearing from everyone’s sight.

[Death Incarnation (Spell Product) killed the Deceitful Shadow Boss (Level 5), you gained 455 Experience points.]

[Death Incarnation (Spell Product) killed the Deceitful Shadow (Level 3), you gained 11 Experience points.]

[Death Incarnation...]

Seeing the series of messages that popped up, Gu Xi also showed a hint of a smile.

The Death Incarnation appeared as a giant Bone Dragon, but in fact, it was a magical product of Gu Xi.

Furthermore, the level of the Death Incarnation was closely related to Gu Xi’s level. It didn’t consume Experience itself; the Experience gained from enemies killed by the Death Incarnation was the same as the experience from enemies killed by spells like Corpse Burst and Bone Spike, all belonging to Gu Xi.

So, this time, Gu Xi really hit the jackpot.

Needless to say more, the Experience from killing the Deceitful Shadow Boss was all credited to Gu Xi alone, increasing his Experience greatly.

If not for the high Experience required to level up from Level 3 to Level 4, he might have leveled up by now.

”Clear the remaining enemies on the Boundary Tower, don’t worry about anything else, Luna. Separate the enemy’s leader from their troops, Skeleton Soldiers move forward, Skeleton Shooter, fire.”

Under Gu Xi’s command, the Skeleton Soldiers, who were already close to colliding with the black Deceitful Shadow, accelerated their pace.

The Skeleton Soldiers of Combat Squad 3 lifted their shields when they approached the black Deceitful Shadow, preparing to deal a Shield Strike to them. However, at that moment, a wave of rain of arrows from the Skeleton Shooters arrived first.

Seven or eight units of the black Deceitful Shadow, charging at the Skeleton Soldiers, were shot dead on the spot.

The remaining ones halted their steps, losing the momentum for another charge.

At this moment, the Skeleton Soldiers of Combat Squad 2 seized the opportunity to move forward. With their long spears raised, they stabbed at the black Deceitful Shadow.

Over ten more black Deceitful Shadows were skewered to the ground, disappearing in front of the Skeleton Soldiers.

”Kill!”

Upon witnessing such achievements, Gu Xi was convinced the battle was secured.

The black Deceitful Shadow were fewer in number compared to the Skeleton Soldiers, and now their combat power couldn’t match up; there was nothing to fear.

Thus, all the Skeleton Soldiers charged forward, clashing with the black Deceitful Shadows.

In the ensuing melee, the black Deceitful Shadows finally demonstrated their capabilities.

Like the Skeleton Soldiers, they were entities willing to risk it all, facing the attacks of the Skeleton Soldiers, instead of retreating, three or four of them would gang up on a single Skeleton Soldier.

Desperately using their lives to kill Skeleton Soldiers.

And the leader of the Deceitful Shadows, displayed agility unlike that of the heavily armored defensive soldiers.

He continuously moved across the battlefield, drawing the Skeleton Soldiers’ attention.

Every time he made a move, he would save a black Deceitful Shadow slated for death, simultaneously disrupting the attacks of the Skeleton Soldiers.

From a distance, Luna watched the situation unfold. Several times she attempted to charge in with the Ghost, but each time she approached, the Deceitful Shadow Boss would dodge at lightning speed.

Making it difficult for Luna to capture him.

This chase and evade tactic ended up disrupting the Skeleton Soldiers’ combat, turning the current battle into a chaotic melee.

Meanwhile, Gu Xi also noticed another situation. Other Deceitful Shadows in the Pier District had discovered what was happening and were gradually making their way towards this side, ready to enter the battlefield at any moment.
