Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 89: Chapter 87: Hundred-armed Giant Graveyard District (1/74)

[Hundred-armed Giant Graveyard District, covering an area of 0.7 square kilometers, population none, 2 large plots, 3 medium plots, 7 small plots.]

[Note: Affected by the corpses of the Hundred-armed Giants, the attributes of this region are locked to Giants, Death, and Combat direction, and some buildings cannot be constructed.]

Looking at the message that popped up in front of him, Gu Xi finally breathed a sigh of relief. Although this region had clearly shrunk a lot, the main building spaces were still there.

Meanwhile, the locked attributes meant that some buildings could not be constructed here, but it also meant that if the right buildings were constructed, their quality would be somewhat enhanced.

Within this situation lay both advantages and disadvantages, and whether it was good or bad depended on how Gu Xi chose.

Using the Shattering Staff to prop himself up, Gu Xi looked again at the ground before him.

With all the building obstructions gone, Gu Xi finally saw the full extent of this newly added area.

Now, besides hundreds of bronze arms of various sizes, the most noticeable thing in this area was the vacant plots that had remained untouched by the bronze arms.

The vacant land consisted of rotting or crushed bricks and wood.

Judging from the size of the vacant plots, both large plots deliberately or inadvertently avoided the direction of Yaliduwei City Main City District and leaned towards the edge of the Hundred-armed Giant Graveyard District.

Close to this area were three small plots squeezed together.

Seeing this, Gu Xi realized that the extra large plot seemed to have been forcibly squeezed out.

It seemed this was Luna’s doing.

At this moment, Luna also came rushing from the Assembly Hall.

”My lord, it’s all handled.”

”That’s good, you’ve worked hard on this matter. I didn’t expect the city merged in such a state.”

Gu Xi spoke somewhat awkwardly. To be honest, this matter was primarily triggered by Gu Xi, as he obtained the land title of the abandoned old city, and the laboratory issues were first caused by him.

”You’re too kind, my lord. Yaliduwei City is our city. It’s my duty to contribute to it.”

”Alright, for the time being, our construction focus should still be on the Pier District, prioritizing the Wharf Warehouse and Wharf Market. Let’s leave the Hundred-armed Giant Graveyard District for now until we have resources.”

”Understood, I’ll handle things on this end first. However, my lord, you must be attentive to city construction. Currently, we lack both resources and design blueprints.

The only place we can produce resources is the Assembly Hall. The other small buildings mainly produce food for the Undead. The building materials we need come from city demolition work.

If we continue like this, the city’s development will be restricted.”

”Hm, I’ll think of a way. Otherwise, I might go to the Guild and see if there are any resources or blueprints for sale internally.”

Gu Xi was a bit troubled by this.

The Chaoyang Radiance Guild seemed relatively good, but Gu Xi’s current identity was awkward. He was not a core member and had just joined.

Even though he held the title of chief, besides increasing resource investment, the Guild generally wouldn’t give him significant conveniences.

Not to mention opening the Guild’s internal warehouse to send him a batch of resources and blueprints.

To get these, Gu Xi thought he needed to ask around, and if possible, merge one or two resource points into Yaliduwei City.

Seeing Gu Xi agreeing to this matter, Luna changed the topic.

By taking the Pier District and the newly converted Hundred-armed Giant Graveyard District, Gu Xi now occupied the largest area in Yaliduwei City.

The remaining two districts combined were about the same size as the area Gu Xi now occupied.

This gave Luna the intention to take over the entire Yaliduwei City area.

By doing so, her strength could significantly increase, and there would be a possibility of attacking the Yaliduvi Tower.

Seeing Luna’s expression, Gu Xi immediately understood her thoughts.

”Now, our troop strength is insufficient, and the related intelligence from the Barmaid is not yet in place.”

Gu Xi said only one sentence, ”If we want to act, we need at least two more weeks.”

Luna said nothing against Gu Xi’s estimation. Currently, the troop situation in Yaliduwei City is like this. They have training methods but lack resources to train soldiers.

Moreover, Gu Xi’s troops are relatively singular, with Skeleton Soldiers being the main force.

Although there is the addition of Death Incarnation, without sufficient intelligence, Gu Xi isn’t sure what to expect from attacking new areas actively.

Moreover, no corpses would be left behind by the Deceitful Shadow within these areas, so without a way to summon souls, Gu Xi needed to consider his troop strength.

Luna understood Gu Xi’s concerns.

Since Gu Xi mentioned it, Luna no longer insisted on these matters and followed Gu Xi to the vicinity of the Tavern.

Even before Gu Xi and Luna reached the Tavern, the White Bone Wine Lady stood at the Tavern door.

As Gu Xi approached, the Barmaid gently wiped her bones with a towel before smiling at Gu Xi.

”Lord City Lord, I saw you come all the way to my little Tavern’s door earlier, only to turn away. Why is that?

Did you find the wine here not good enough?

I tell you, we’ve just launched a new Rat Wine. It’s delightful. Would you care for a glass now?”

She pointed behind her, and Gu Xi could see from afar a vat of murky wine with at least a dozen rats soaking in it.

”Oh, does it have any effects? Pour me a glass.”

Gu Xi glanced at the wine in the vat and said casually.

With this statement, the White Bone Wine Lady paused, looking unexpectedly at Gu Xi.

In response to the White Bone Wine Lady’s reaction, Gu Xi just smiled without saying a word.

Not to mention that he was an Undead Mage who had seen all sorts of scenes. He even survived in Victoria City’s dungeons by living off rats, so he wasn’t averse to rats being used as food ingredients.

Of course, there’s a precondition here: these things must be useful to Gu Xi.

If this Rat Wine indeed had some effect, Gu Xi wouldn’t mind drinking some.

Seeing that her joke couldn’t sway Gu Xi, the White Bone Wine Lady awkwardly managed a smile.

”Lord City Lord, please don’t joke with me. This wine is for the Undead. I’ve already prepared your drink.”
