Moving On from the Tsundere, I Choose the Perfect Sweetheart

Chapter 210: Chapter 210: After the Military Training, a Game of Life and Death

His voice was quiet, but the emcee standing beside him heard it.

Song Wanqing was quite confused. She glanced at Gu Yifan, her expression puzzled.

However, out of professional courtesy, she suppressed her curiosity, handed the microphone to Gu Yifan, and quietly prompted him to begin his speech.

”Thank you.”

Gu Yifan took the microphone, murmured his thanks, and walked to the center of the stage.

*Phew...*

Looking at the sea of faces below, Gu Yifan took a deep breath. With a serious expression, he began, ”Leaders, teachers, and fellow students, good morning. I am Gu Yifan from Financial Management Class One. It’s my pleasure to be standing here and meeting you all today...”

...

”Whoo-hoo~”

”Just one more class!”

”The weekend’s almost here!”

From the back of the classroom, Wang Shouyi spoke as if he were a prisoner about to be released.

”Er...”

”Young Master Bi, we’ve had less than a week of classes, haven’t we?”

”It’s not that bad, is it?”

He Dongdong couldn’t help but chime in from the side.

”Tch...”

Wang Shouyi shot him a glance and said flatly, ”What would you know? For a slacker like me, every single class is pure agony!”

He Dongdong was speechless.

He couldn’t help but roll his eyes at Wang Shouyi.

’You got into Jinda University. What kind of damn slacker are you?!’ he griped internally.

”Hey!”

Wang Shouyi suddenly remembered something. He nudged Gu Yifan, who was sitting furthest in, and suggested, ”Brother Fan, it’s been a while since we all hung out. How about you get a pass from Sister-in-law Qinghe tonight, and we guys go out for a couple of drinks?”

Hearing this, Gu Yifan put down his phone and turned to look at him. Seeing the eager look in his eyes, he thought for a moment before replying, ”Alright. I’ll talk to Qinghe in a bit.”

”Great!”

Wang Shouyi’s eyes lit up when he heard Gu Yifan agree. ”It’s a deal then,” he said. ”No backing out!”

”Tonight, it’s a do-or-die drinking match. We’re not going home ’til we’re smashed!”

”We’ll tell Sao Man when he gets back from the office!”

...

Just then, Peng Shaoqiang happened to walk in from the back of the classroom. Hearing Wang Shouyi mention his name, he strode over and slapped a headlock on him from behind.

Leaning close to his ear, he said irritably, ”Young Master Bi, you son of a bitch, talking shit about me behind my back again?”

The sudden headlock stunned Wang Shouyi for a moment. Once he came to his senses, he quickly struggled out of Peng Shaoqiang’s grasp.

”Get lost!”

He turned to Peng Shaoqiang and snapped, ”Don’t touch me!

You think I’m like you, always going for doggy style and sneak attacks from behind?!”

”Er...”

With his little fetish suddenly exposed, Peng Shaoqiang’s face flushed slightly red.

But being a social butterfly, he recovered quickly. As if he hadn’t heard a word Wang Shouyi said, he asked, ”Wait, what was that you said about a do-or-die match?”

”Oh, Young Master Bi just said that we guys are going out for dinner and drinks tonight. A do-or-die match, and we’re not going home till we’re smashed!”

He Dongdong explained from the side.

”Ah...”

Peng Shaoqiang’s face cleared with understanding.

’So that’s what he was talking about!’

”No problem!”

”But... can Old Fan make it?”

Peng Shaoqiang looked at Gu Yifan as he said this.

”I can.”

Gu Yifan glanced at him and replied casually.

”Then we’re set!”

Peng Shaoqiang made an ”OK” gesture. ”Let’s do it then! Who’s afraid of who?”

RING—RING—RING—

Just then, the bell for the final class of the day suddenly rang.

Just as everyone was expecting the Advanced Mathematics professor, they were surprised to see Master Extinction—Chen Wenjing—walk into the classroom.

For a moment, everyone in the classroom exchanged confused glances.

”Sao Man, doesn’t the schedule say this is Advanced Math?”

”How come it’s our counselor’s class? What’s going on?”

Wang Shouyi whispered to Peng Shaoqiang, his face full of confusion.

”Uh...”

Peng Shaoqiang was stunned as well. He had no idea what was happening.

’When I was in her office just now, Chen Wenjing didn’t say anything about this.’

”I don’t know either!”

he whispered back.

”Quiet!”

From the podium, Chen Wenjing scanned the room before announcing, ”Professor Luo had something come up today, so I’ve swapped classes with her.”

”Ohhh.”

A murmur of understanding went through the class.

”Hmm... one period isn’t really enough time for a proper lecture. So, how about we use this time to finalize the class committee.”

”Any objections?”

Chen Wenjing asked the class.

’We get to skip class? Awesome!’

Hearing this, who would possibly have any objections?

They all shouted in reply, ”No objections!”

And so, what was supposed to be Advanced Mathematics successfully transformed into a class committee election.

As before, Gu Yifan had no interest in any of this.

Although several classmates asked if they could vote for him, he turned them all down.

It came back to the same thought.

’Why be a stupid class officer?’

’I’d rather spend that time caressing Su Qinghe’s feet!’

...

Just over halfway through the forty-five-minute class, the final results for the class committee were announced.

Peng Shaoqiang was re-elected as class monitor, and a girl named Hong Xia was chosen as the Youth League Secretary.

She had a very straightforward personality and was well-liked, so no one had any objections to her election.

The remaining positions for the commissary and sports committees were also filled.

It was worth noting that the position of Arts Committee member went to the ”legal loli,” Papaya Lady—Chen Siqi.

Seeing her, at less than five feet tall, with a small, blushing, and shy face, Gu Yifan was skeptical. ’Does a Papaya Lady like her really have any artistic talent?’

’Is it the legendary ”boob-push plane”?’

’That kind of handiwork should count as a talent, right? Hmm... Makes sense!’

”Alright!”

”Now that the class committee has been decided, I hope that in the future, you will all cooperate with their work. Don’t make things difficult for the committee members who are here to serve you!”

”Can you all do that?”

Counselor Chen Wenjing asked the class.

”Yes!”

Everyone nodded, their voices scattered and lacking enthusiasm.

Chen Wenjing’s face darkened. ”Have you not eaten today?!” she roared.

”Louder!”

Seeing Master Extinction’s darkened expression, the class hurriedly shouted, ”YES!!!”

Hearing this, Chen Wenjing finally nodded, satisfied.

”Hmm... there’s still a little time left. I have one more thing to announce.”

she said, looking out at the students.

”???”

”What is it?”

Everyone looked at her, their faces full of curiosity.

...
