Moving On from the Tsundere, I Choose the Perfect Sweetheart

Chapter 204: Chapter 204: Bloodthirst! Ready to Explode

”Hold it!

Did I say you could leave?!”

...

A hand clamped down on his shoulder, and Gu Yifan’s steps faltered for a moment.

His previously calm expression grew cold. Turning to face Chen Pingping, he asked in a frosty tone, ”What now? Is there something else?”

Chen Pingping: ”...”

Seeing that Chen Pingping was still gripping his shoulder without a word, Gu Yifan lifted his gaze and added, ”Let go.”

This time, Chen Pingping was truly seeing red. He’d been a soldier for many years and had served as a drill instructor for university military training five or six times. He had dealt with every kind of student imaginable!

But!

He had never, ever met a student as audacious and defiant as Gu Yifan!

With a troublemaker like this, if you didn’t teach him a lesson, he wouldn’t know what was what!

Besides, all these students were watching. If he just let go and allowed Gu Yifan to walk away, how could he maintain his authority as an instructor?

’Don’t I have any pride?!’

And so, with a dark expression, he met Gu Yifan’s gaze and sneered, ”And if I don’t let go? What can you do about it?”

”Oh.”

Gu Yifan said.

Then, he gave a slight shrug. Instantly employing a martial arts technique to dissipate force, he drove his shoulder directly into Chen Pingping’s.

Caught completely off guard, Chen Pingping’s grip was broken. He stumbled back several steps before managing to steady himself.

He stared at Gu Yifan in shock.

Gu Yifan shot him a glance but said nothing. He simply turned, took Su Qinghe’s hand again, and continued to walk away.

”...”

Seeing Gu Yifan ignore him once more, Chen Pingping’s mouth twitched!

”Halt!”

He yelled again.

This time, Gu Yifan paid him no mind, still holding Su Qinghe’s hand as he walked off the training field.

”FUCKING HELL!!!”

Chen Pingping couldn’t stop himself from swearing!

He shot forward, lunging toward Gu Yifan.

Hearing the commotion behind him, Gu Yifan pulled Su Qinghe aside, smoothly changing direction to evade the charge.

”Hm?”

Finding that he’d lunged at empty air, Chen Pingping was stunned for a moment.

”A little interesting!”

”You’ve trained before?”

He looked at Gu Yifan, his voice tinged with surprise.

By now, Gu Yifan’s expression had turned completely glacial. If he hadn’t been able to dodge just now, he would have, at worst, been knocked into.

But!

What about Su Qinghe?!

He hadn’t forgotten that he was holding Su Qinghe’s hand. If he were knocked down, she would definitely be dragged down with him!

With that move, Chen Pingping had well and truly crossed Gu Yifan’s line!

”Are you looking to die?”

Gu Yifan stared at him and said coldly.

”Hm?”

Hearing Gu Yifan’s provocative words, Chen Pingping’s expression also turned cold.

”It’s been years since anyone dared to speak to me like that!”

”You’ve got a lot of nerve, kid!”

However, it also awakened his own belligerent nature. He pointed at Gu Yifan and said, enunciating each word, ”So what if I am looking to die? What can you possibly do to me?”

”Dumbass!”

Gu Yifan spat out the single word as he watched Chen Pingping’s fighting spirit surge.

”...”

This time, Chen Pingping was utterly enraged. His face was as black as thunder as he said, word by word, ”Kid, if you’ve got the guts, fight me one-on-one. If you win, you can walk away, no questions asked!”

Hearing this, Gu Yifan first shot him a glance and said flatly, ”Oh, I see. I hope you won’t regret this in a moment.”

After speaking, he turned to Su Qinghe and said, ”Hanhan, go wait for me over there.”

”Don’t... don’t fight, okay?”

Su Qinghe shook her head and whispered.

”It’s fine, don’t worry. I know what I’m doing.”

”Hm... just stand aside and wait for me for two minutes. No, wait for thirty seconds. We’ll leave in a bit.”

Gu Yifan reached out, gently stroking her head as he spoke in a soft, tender voice.

”I...”

Su Qinghe wanted to say more, but Gu Yifan had already turned and walked toward the instructor, Chen Pingping. The words caught in her throat. She knew Gu Yifan; she knew that once this ”Big Bully” made up his mind, no one could change it.

At this moment, all she could do was choose to believe in Gu Yifan.

But... she was truly worried, her face tense as she watched him.

”Thirty seconds... in a hurry...”

Chen Pingping had heard everything Gu Yifan just said to Su Qinghe!

”Kid, this time, you’ve really made me angry! The consequences will be severe!”

He looked at Gu Yifan, his tone icy.

”Oh.”

”How are we fighting?”

”You decide. I’m in a hurry!”

Gu Yifan stood before Chen Pingping, his tone placid.

”AHH!”

Seeing his infuriatingly cavalier attitude, Chen Pingping finally snapped!

”No rules! The first one to go down loses!”

He roared at Gu Yifan.

”Okay. Then bring it on!”

Gu Yifan said, his expression still calm.

At his words, Chen Pingping’s eyes instantly turned red!

Soldiers are a belligerent sort, and the fighting spirit in his very bones had been thoroughly ignited.

At this moment, he no longer cared about being the bigger man bullying the smaller one. All he wanted was to grind this kid into the floor!!!

If he didn’t beat Gu Yifan until he was on his knees calling him ’daddy,’ then he would call Gu Yifan ’daddy’!

He then charged toward Gu Yifan, determined to take down this arrogant brat who thought he knew it all after learning a trick or two in a single move!

...

”FWEEET—”

”STOP!!!”

Just then, a whistle blew, and at the same time, a thunderous reprimand exploded in Chen Pingping’s ear!

It turned out the situation had attracted the attention of the instructor corps!

The red in Chen Pingping’s eyes instantly faded, but his fist was already flying toward Gu Yifan’s face. It was too late to stop.

Just as he thought his punch was about to land, Gu Yifan sidestepped slightly, once again evading his fist.

Then, several soldiers in camouflage uniforms pushed through the crowd and strode over.

The man in the lead frowned at Gu Yifan for a moment before turning to Chen Pingping. ”Sergeant Xiaochen, what is going on here?” he asked, his voice laced with displeasure.

At this point, Chen Pingping also realized that he had been provoked by Gu Yifan’s repeated taunts, let his hot-blooded nature get the better of him, and acted impulsively!

He saluted the man before him and said loudly, ”Reporting, Platoon Leader!”

”I was just sparring with this student!”

”Sparring?”

Hearing this, the Platoon Leader was taken aback for a moment, then his brow furrowed even deeper. He turned to Gu Yifan and asked, ”Is that right, student?”

”Yes.”

Gu Yifan glanced over before turning to the Platoon Leader and replying with a calm expression.

”Nonsense!”

The Platoon Leader barked at Chen Pingping, ”Sergeant Chen, have you forgotten our unit’s code of conduct?!”

”This is a school!”

”Don’t bring your squad’s bad habit of picking fights at the drop of a hat here!”

”Besides! What business does an instructor have sparring with a student?!”

”What if the student got hurt? Could you take responsibility for that?!”

Chen Pingping: ”...”

Gu Yifan: ”...”
