Moving On from the Tsundere, I Choose the Perfect Sweetheart

Chapter 206: Chapter 206: Playing Dead? Vice-Principal—Sun Lingming

Chen Pingping couldn’t wait any longer!

He was going to teach Gu Yifan a harsh lesson, grinding him into the dirt!

Otherwise, this arrogant little brat would never learn that there’s always someone stronger!

Faced with Chen Pingping’s provocation, Gu Yifan remained expressionless, completely unfazed.

”Kid, don’t say I’m bullying you!”

Seeing that Gu Yifan was still acting all high and mighty at a time like this, Chen Pingping couldn’t help but shout, ”I’ll even give you the first move. Weren’t you acting all cocky just now? Come on! Come and hit me!”

”Oh.”

The corner of Gu Yifan’s mouth curled up slightly.

His Special-Level Fighting Ability was unleashed in an instant!

Before anyone could react, Gu Yifan flashed forward, appearing right in front of Chen Pingping.

The next second, he leaped high into the air, all his power concentrated in his leg, and then viciously kicked out!

”BANG!!!”

Chen Pingping didn’t even see it coming before Gu Yifan’s kick sent him flying more than ten meters away!

At that moment, everyone stared, dumbfounded, at the scene before them.

*HISS...*

Silence...

For a moment, the field fell deathly silent. Everyone was stunned by what had just happened!

This was an outcome no one could have possibly imagined.

After all, one was a battle-hardened military instructor, and the other was just an ordinary college freshman.

Anyone could see this was going to be a one-sided beatdown!

And now, it turned out to be a one-sided beatdown indeed—just the other way around.

More than ten meters away, Chen Pingping was sprawled on the ground like a dead dog. After a moment, he struggled to lift his head and stared at Gu Yifan in disbelief.

”Sorry, looks like my fists are bigger than yours after all...”

Gu Yifan said coolly, his face devoid of expression.

”You...”

He clutched his chest, trembling, unable to speak.

”PFFT...”

Chen Pingping spat out a mouthful of blood, his head lolled to the side, and he passed out.

Whether he fainted from the injury and blood loss or from being angered by Gu Yifan’s words, no one could say for sure.

”Quick!”

”Get help!!!”

Just then, Platoon Leader Luo Fei snapped back to his senses and hurriedly shouted.

In an instant, the entire field descended into chaos.

Meanwhile, the instigator of it all, Gu Yifan, shot a meaningful glance at Instructor Chen Pingping, who was still lying on the ground like a dead dog.

Nothing else!

It was just that he knew Chen Pingping was faking it!

Because even though his kick looked dramatic, he had controlled his strength and used technique, not brute force. Chen Pingping wasn’t seriously injured at all.

As for that mouthful of ”old blood” he spat out, Gu Yifan had no idea what that was about.

In any case, he hadn’t used lethal force.

Withdrawing his gaze, Gu Yifan walked over to Su Qinghe, took her small hand, and said softly, ”Su Hanhan, let’s go.”

”Huh?”

Hearing his voice, Su Qinghe finally snapped out of her daze.

She glanced first at Gu Yifan, then at the blood-spitting instructor, and asked nervously, ”Is... is he going to be okay?”

”He’s fine, don’t worry.”

Gu Yifan shook his head.

”Uh...”

She stared at Gu Yifan blankly. ’The man spat blood and passed out, and this Big Bully is saying he’s fine?’

”You really don’t have to worry. I didn’t use much force. He’s just playing dead.”

Seeing that she was still worried, Gu Yifan leaned in and explained in a low voice.

”What?”

Su Qinghe froze for a moment at his words.

When she recovered, she glanced with some surprise at the instructor, who was still sprawled on the ground like a dead dog.

She knew what kind of person Gu Yifan was better than anyone.

If Gu Yifan said so, then it must mean he was really fine.

”Alright, be good. Someone will handle this. Let’s go.”

Gu Yifan said.

”Oh, okay.”

Although Su Qinghe was still a little worried, she nodded obediently.

And so, amidst the commotion, the two of them slowly walked off the field...

Platoon Leader Luo Fei watched them leave, but he didn’t have the nerve to step forward and stop them.

After all, they had agreed before the match that no matter who got hurt, the other party couldn’t be held responsible.

Even though such an agreement wasn’t legally binding, he couldn’t bring himself to lose face by stopping Gu Yifan!

Besides!

When he had just rushed over to Chen Pingping’s side, he knew the bastard was faking it!

But in a situation like this, playing dead was the only option left.

Otherwise, after being sent flying ten meters by a student’s kick, Chen Pingping, as a soldier, would have had nowhere to hide his face in shame!

...

「Afternoon. 2:30 PM. The Principal’s Office.」

*WHOOSH...*

Gu Yifan picked up the hot tea in front of him, blew on it gently, and then took a large gulp.

”Good tea~!”

He couldn’t help but exclaim.

The old man with graying hair sitting across from him couldn’t help but glare at him and say irritably, ”Is that how you drink tea? Like an ox chewing peonies!”

”Heh heh...”

Gu Yifan wasn’t angry at all. He just chuckled and said, ”Hah, tea is meant for drinking, isn’t it? You should just drink it however feels right!” ℴ

”Grandpa Sun, don’t you think that makes sense?”

”Er...”

The old man was taken aback. It sounded so reasonable that, for a moment, he couldn’t find a way to refute it!

”Alright, you brat. You’re full of twisted logic!”

Sun Lingming shot him a look. ”Also, this is a school. You’re to call me Principal Sun!”

That’s right!

The old man in front of Gu Yifan was none other than the current vice-principal of Jinling University—Sun Lingming.

”You got it, Grandpa Sun!”

Gu Yifan nodded.

Sun Lingming: ”...”

He was left speechless by Gu Yifan’s words. If it weren’t for his grandmother, he would have loved to give this little rascal a big slap across the face!

That’s right!

Sun Lingming had some history with Gu Yifan’s family.

However, Gu Yifan hadn’t known about this before.

It was only because his grandmother had called him a while ago, telling him that if he ever ran into trouble at Jinling University, he should find Sun Lingming, who would help him sort it out.

That was how Gu Yifan found out about it!

However, he had only heard from his grandmother that Sun Lingming was some kind of professor at Jinda University. He hadn’t had a chance to look for him yet, originally planning to pay him a formal visit after military training was over.

He never expected that because of this morning’s incident on the field, which had already spread, Sun Lingming would summon him directly.

When he saw that Sun Lingming was actually the vice-principal of Jinda University, Gu Yifan was briefly stunned.

He really hadn’t expected Sun Lingming to have such a position.

’No wonder Grandma said to find him for any trouble at Jinda; he could solve anything!’

Sun Lingming picked up his teacup, took a small sip, and savored it for a moment before slowly speaking, ”Alright, spill it, you little stinker. Why did you beat up the instructor?

Military training has barely been on for a few days, and you’ve already stirred up this much trouble for me. Are you trying to reach for the heavens or something?!”

”...”
