The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Capítulo 1153: Chapter 1153: A Little Horn (Part 7)

The minister, sharp-eyed, recognized that the severed head belonged to one of the foreign envoys, and immediately knelt down, kowtowing with tears streaming down his face: “Princess, how could you be so reckless… the Foreign Alliance, you have slain an envoy, this is provoking war! With Great Xia’s current military strength… boo hoo… Great Xia is finished…”

The old emperor, having a headache from the minister’s wailing, commanded sternly: “Silence!”

The elders behind the minister also began to weep in great sorrow, as if they could already see the rivers of blood flowing, the mountains and rivers shattered…

The young girl calmly placed the severed head down and removed the broken hair from her mouth, presenting it with both hands: “I have killed the envoy, provoked war, and I am willing to fight for Great Xia. If I am defeated, my head shall be offered like this broken hair, with both hands.”

“Nonsense!” The old emperor scolded.

The minister on the side wiped away his old tears and kowtowed to the young girl: “Her Royal Highness Princess, now to appease the foreign states’ anger, the only way is… for the Princess to marry!”

The elders also knelt on the ground one after another, “We beg the Princess to marry, to bring a hundred years of peace for Great Xia!”

The old emperor pursed his lips, suddenly aged, and spoke wearily: “I will let you take three thousand guards with you when you marry over, no one will trouble you…”

The young girl sneered.

This laughter was quite abrupt.

The ministers’ intermittent cries also paused.

The grand palace fell silent, so quiet that even a pin drop could be heard.

The young girl raised her head, her short hair adding a touch of dashing unruliness, somewhat resembling a man’s defiant spirit, “Father, do you remember when I broke your Jade Seal at the age of three?”

Upon hearing this, the grand palace became even quieter, and the ministers even lightened their breathing.

These were all old ministers, they also knew of the Eldest Princess’s incident at the age of three.

The Eldest Princess was the emperor’s first daughter, and born of the Empress, the emperor cherished her dearly. The three-year-old Little Princess was adorable, soft and clinging, and loved to stick to the emperor. She would cry if the emperor left, so helplessly, the emperor could only hold her while reviewing memorials.

While the emperor was attending to nature’s call, the Little Princess perhaps found the Jade Seal on the table beautiful, hugged it in her arms to play, and a corner of the Jade Seal suddenly broke.

This was the Jade Seal inherited for generations in Great Xia, made of hard material, not something a little child could play and break. So at the time, everyone thought that due to long-standing age, a crack naturally appeared, which the little child accidentally exerted too much force on.

The young girl raised a corner of her mouth: “At that time, the Jade Seal had no crack whatsoever, Father knows this too, right?”

The old emperor frowned tightly.

Whether the Jade Seal had cracks, as someone who used it daily, he certainly knew, but at that time he considered it inexplicably breaking off a corner might be seized upon by those with motives, spreading rumors about him as not a proper emperor. Many things could be maliciously misconstrued by such people, so he went along with the error, publicly proclaiming the Jade Seal inherently had cracks, which the Princess accidentally damaged while playing.

The young girl picked up a long sword.

“Protect the emperor!” the minister shouted, fearing the Princess’s refusal to marry and to crown a king with regicide instead.

The young girl remained standing, one hand gripping the sharp blade, laughing out loud, followed by a “Pang,” the sound of a sword breaking.

The crowd present was dumbfounded.

The young girl tossed the broken sword to the ground and raised an audacious smile: “Father did not take this matter to heart, but the Empress discovered the anomaly. That day, the Empress asked me to try my strength.”

The young girl calmly swept her eyes over the crowd, playfully: “The Empress, fearing to alarm those in the palace, took me to the Summer Resort under the pretext of escaping the summer heat. Who knew we would encounter two hysterical sheep along the way, and in the face of danger, I caught the two sheep with my bare hands and knocked them unconscious.”

The minister was incredulous, lips trembling: “How… how could this be possible?”

Historically, there are fierce generals said to catch two sheep barehanded at the age of nine, possessing tremendous strength, but the Princess was only three at that time!

A three-year-old child actually managed to catch two hysterical sheep with her bare hands and even knocked them out!

This is divine power!

The minister looked at the young girl’s face, lamenting inwardly: If only she were a boy, how tremendous, Great Xia would certainly produce a mighty general who could move mountains and rivers!

Alas… even though Her Royal Highness has innate divine power, she is merely a woman.

The young girl pointed to the broken sword on the ground: “I can break a sword with my bare hands, you’ve seen it yourselves, can this prove my strength?”

An old minister stepped forward, hesitated, but still spoke: “Perhaps… it is a sword that has been used for a long time.”

The implication was no more than suggesting the sword had been tampered with.

The young girl’s gaze turned cold, the old minister shivered and lowered his head, daring not to meet her eyes.

“Heh.” The young girl pointed to the great cauldron in front of the palace, “This, I suppose, cannot be tampered with?”

The old emperor seemed to guess something, and chided: “Don’t be foolish!”

The young girl raised her head, showing a bright smile: “Father, if your daughter can lift a great cauldron weighing a thousand pounds, can you grant your daughter a General’s position? Your daughter killed the envoy and provoked the battle, let your daughter personally quell it, slay the Barbarian Tribe so they dare not invade the borders ever again! Without marrying your daughter off, Great Xia can still achieve prosperity and peace!”
