The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 291: Chapter 291: There’s Another Show to Shoot Chapter 291: Chapter 291: There’s Another Show to Shoot The director couldn’t believe it. Were there still young actors who would refuse his offer?

He had produced a box office champion after all!

At that time, it broke records, and countless people were begging to be part of his films!

Seeing the director’s incredulous look, the assistant knew that the director surely hadn’t been following the internet lately.

“She’s an internet sensation now!” said the assistant, gesturing towards the storage room in front of them and sighing, “I heard the invites wouldn’t even fit in this storage room.”

“This is twenty square meters!” the director frowned.

“Hey, just look at the number of people in her livestream, and then look at her follower count.”

The director took it, clicked on the profile, and realized the girl actually had nearly 30 million followers.

In the live broadcast, Little Taotie was playing chess with Hua Jinyan.

[Xiao Zaizai is so good at chess, I don’t know half the tricks she does!]

[Incredible, she is being groomed to be a well-rounded lady in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting!]

[At such a young age she knows the game Go, what challenges could possibly stump her in the future?]

[Am I the only one annoyed, whose other hand is that? It seems like a little boy’s!]

[To the person above, I’ve already made up a 30,000-word short story in my mind.]

The number of people in the livestream was just under 30 million, almost the same as the follower count she had, clearly all genuine fans.

Seeing castle after castle being frantically sent as gifts.

The director lamented, “Indeed, internet celebrities make good money!”

…

Cheng Guodong brought a large plate of nutritious and appetizing snacks to Little Taotie, and then brought a fruit platter.

Seeing this, the fans commented: [We all wish we had a brother like him!]

[If my brother serves me tea and hands me water, I’d probably go crazy, thinking he’s either scheming or stealing!]

…

Seeing how popular the little girl was, the director, who was originally full of confidence, also felt somewhat deflated.

“Fine, book her if you can, no big deal if you can’t, I believe you’ve tried your best.”

When Cheng Guodong received the invitation from the renowned movie director, he immediately accepted it.

Cheng Guodong told Little Taotie to momentarily set aside the advertisements and focus on filming the movie first.

The next day, Cheng Guodong took Little Taotie to meet the director.

The little girl was soft and adorable, wearing a white sweater and an orange-red down jacket.

She looked plump and fluffy, like an adorable little goldfish.

Seeing her in person, the director felt an even stronger desire to accomplish something remarkable.

“Come, let me explain the film to you.”

“You are the little princess of a fallen nation, and in an effort to revive your country, you infiltrate the enemy country and ultimately ascend to the throne victoriously.”

“Once you ascend the throne, your mission is completed, and the rest of the film will be carried on by the grown-up female protagonist.”

Little Taotie quickly got into character. She was dressed in tattered clothes, begging along the streets.

The camera focused on every one of her expressions.

She lit a piece of firewood to warm herself but then saw that it had begun to drizzle from the sky.

She took shelter under an eave, trying hard to keep the flame alive.

Through the light of the fire, she saw everything from before her nation fell.

“Change costumes, next scene! Stylist, hurry up!” the director yelled loudly.

Unlike other directors who prefer meticulous planning, like skipping memories in a certain scene and continuing with the same costume design, he liked to shoot continuously. It might be cumbersome, but it gave him a clearer sense of whether the plot was abrupt or not.

The stylist rushed over immediately, grabbed Little Taotie, and ran off, with a distant shout, “I’ll make her look perfect!”

When Little Taotie appeared again, she was dressed splendidly, her head adorned with Golden Step Shake, wobbling delicately.

“Now you are you in the firelight, all that you see in the glow of the fire are your memories. You were once the youngest princess, dearly loved. On the day your nation fell, you were the only one who escaped, begging on the streets, gradually forgetting your former self.”

Little Taotie nodded and began to portray the affectionate and slightly willful Little Princess.
