The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 278: Chapter 278: Cherry Curd Flavored Candy Chapter 278: Chapter 278: Cherry Curd Flavored Candy Hua Jinyan wanted to lead Little Taotie away by the hand, but Little Taotie shook off his hand and ran to Red Garment Ah Piao. Looking at the thick resentment between her brows, Little Taotie pursed her lips and gazed at her with bright, sparkling eyes, asking, “Sister, what was your favorite food when you were alive?”

Red Garment Ah Piao: “…”

She had not expected the little girl to be unafraid of her appearance.

Red Garment Ah Piao frowned slightly, her memories too blurred to recall.

“It seems to be… cherry curd.”

“Cherry curd?” Little Taotie couldn’t help but swallow and asked in a tiny voice, “Is it tasty?”

Charmed by her adorable, gluttonous look, Red Garment Ah Piao chuckled and nodded, “The sugar cane juice is cold through the silver cup, the crimson cherries glow against the jade bowl.”

Little Taotie blinked, confused, and shook her head, “I don’t understand.”

With a light laugh, Red Garment Ah Piao explained, “Cherry curd is made by placing fresh cherries in pretty containers and then pouring over sugar cane juice or yogurt. Jade plates, silver cups, jade bowls are all cool-toned containers that set off the snow-white and crimson yogurt cherries, making them even more tempting to the palate.”

Little Taotie’s eyes lit up like she had fallen into a whole glittering galaxy, sticking out her little tongue to involuntarily lick her lips, and she swallowed her saliva.

“Feeling greedy?” Red Garment Ah Piao mischievously teased, “Too bad, there’s none here.”

Little Taotie eyed the resentment at her brow, pleading softly, “Then, if you had some, could you give me a taste?”

“If I had it, of course I would give it to you, who can resist your cuteness!” Red Garment Ah Piao teased her like a child and chuckled.

Little Taotie became excited and laughed along with her, “You do have it! Sister, you do!”

“I have?” Red Garment Ah Piao twirled around to show her empty sleeves and shook her head, “My sleeves are empty.”

Little Taotie pointed at the resentment on her forehead, imploringly, “Your resentment will taste like cherry curd! You have so much resentment, just give me a little, and I can turn it into a candy flavored like cherry curd!”

Red Garment Ah Piao was stunned, then burst out laughing, “Little cutie, don’t tease me!”

“I’m not teasing you!”

“Lying is not something good children do!” she said as she reached out and playfully tapped Little Taotie’s little nose, “Don’t be naughty!”

Little Taotie pouted, “I’m not lying! I’m not a bad child who lies! If you don’t believe me, I’ll show you!”

With that, Little Taotie stretched out her pale, harmless little hand towards Red Garment Ah Piao.

But eerily, Red Garment Ah Piao felt immobilized, as if she had been hit by a pressure point, and for a moment couldn’t move.

By the time she could move again, the little girl had already grabbed a handful of thick resentment.

“Let go, that’s not something good, it’s harmful to the living!” Red Garment Ah Piao urgently shouted.

Little Taotie bunched it up, tilting her head with innocent and clear eyes, her voice milky, “Don’t worry! It’s something good!”

Red Garment Ah Piao’s eyes widened as she watched the little girl turn the resentment into a milky white and red, crystal-clear candy.

Little Taotie was about to gobble up the candy, but remembering that she hadn’t shared any treats with Hua Jinyan several times before, she gently licked it instead. Her eyes instantly brightened, and she extended the candy to Hua Jinyan’s lips, her voice tinged with reluctance, “For you to eat!”

Hua Jinyan looked at the candy, now even more translucent after her lick, and before Little Taotie could regret it, he swallowed it in one go, his lips touching the tip of Little Taotie’s fingers.

With reluctance filling her eyes, Little Taotie watched him eat the candy. After a while, she turned expectantly to Red Garment Ah Piao, her eyes full of hope, and whined sweetly, “Sister, can you give me just a little more resentment?”
