Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game

”There is someone who can know whether Avery Jane is Luke Harringtons’s daughter or not.” Atlas Hallow said with certainty, then gracefully raised his glass for a sip with confident composure.

While Joshua Hughes and Atlas Hallow were sharing that bottle of white wine, in another corner of Las Vegas, someone was already glaring at them with hostility.

”Brother Geogre, I’ve found out that Atlas Hallow indeed arrived in Las Vegas. He came yesterday and just visited Tiger Geogre. People from Tiger Geogre’s side said they talked for more than two hours. Surprisingly, Joshua Hughes even showed up.” The skinny man reported cautiously, knowing that their boss’s temper was anything but good.

”Did you find out what they talked about?” The man sitting on a tiger skin with eyes slightly bulging, a reddish bulbous nose, and a sly grin on his dark face queried.

”The people below didn’t hear clearly, but it is said Joshua Hughes came to inquire about a past event in Las Vegas, and Atlas Hallow is investigating where the hot money flowing into the Hallow Clan originally came from.” In such a short time, that’s all that could be found out, especially since their boss was a sworn enemy of Tiger Geogre, and those below were daring enough just to pass messages secretly.

”Past events in Las Vegas?” The man on the tiger skin mumbled to himself, a shadow passing through his gloomy eyes.

Is that dead tiger stronger than him? More informed than him? How come everyone is suddenly seeking out that dead tiger?

”Brother Geogre, do you think Tiger might team up with Joshua Hughes or Atlas Hallow to deal with us?” His subordinate expressed concern, knowing Atlas Hallow was a tough character to handle, and adding in someone as influential as Joshua Hughes could surely spell trouble if they joined forces.

The rivalry between the two major forces in Las Vegas had indeed been ongoing for some time.

”The strong dragon does not overpower the local snake, and besides, matters in Las Vegas cannot be interfered with by outsiders like them; Las Vegas has its own rules.” The man on the tiger skin laughed coldly, and even the ornate room seemed to be filled with chilling air.

”Send some people to follow them quietly; if they are just here to play in Las Vegas, forget it. If anything seems amiss, you know what to do.” Big Head Geogre’s eyes resembled a gray sky on a cloudy day, devoid of life and suffocatingly oppressive, not just oppressive but terrifyingly venomous.

”By the way, have these two brought anyone else with them?” Joshua Hughes has a close friend Alexander King from the King Family, who shadows Joshua everywhere, and it seems Atlas Hallow has a good relationship with the sole heir of the Shaw Family. Might they all be here together? If these people jointly flood into Las Vegas, there could indeed be some trouble.

”Joshua Hughes brought his wife, and Atlas Hallow also brought a woman, but it’s said to be his girlfriend,” the subordinate answered truthfully.

”Girlfriend?” Such a business tycoon using the term ’girlfriend’? That’s quite amusing. A mistress or paramour seems more fitting. It’s not unusual for such a man to bring a woman along for entertainment wherever he goes.

But having a wife for Joshua Hughes seems particularly suspicious; Big Head Geogre meticulously dissected this sentence as Joshua Hughes marrying would be a substantial affair, yet there’s been no news, not even a whisper of it?

”Yes, and there’s something quite odd. Joshua Hughes’s wife won several million at Tiger Geogre’s venue, reportedly starting with a small thousand-dollar chip. She tried many gambling methods without losing a single hand.” The subordinate finished reporting all suspicious activities discovered today and awaited Big Head Geogre’s instructions.

Could such things actually happen?

Big Head Geogre’s eyes grew even wider.

Naturally, there’s nothing strange about Atlas Hallow coming to investigate the hot money, but Joshua Hughes being here surely signifies something is up.

He suddenly arrived in Las Vegas, and his wife is actually a high roller? Yet among ranked female Gambling Kings, there is no figure like Joshua Hughes’s wife.

It shouldn’t be this way; it must just be a smokescreen.

That woman is surely key to his visit to Las Vegas, but what does he want to do?

Even if he doesn’t know the Hughes Clan’s market value, one can trust it’s astronomically high. Money is no longer an issue for Joshua Hughes; he wouldn’t invest in the gambling industry. Though lucrative, it has too many hassles, and he manages such a large enterprise. Why would he bother with a mind-consuming business like this?

Everything revolves around the woman accompanying him.

Past events in Las Vegas?

Big Head Geogre thought through several major incidents in Las Vegas over these years. He must be investigating one of these events.

Suddenly, his eyes squinted, and tobacco-scented breath exhaled from his bulbous nose.

A woman who never lost?

In Las Vegas’s history, there are almost no winners who never lost. Even Luke Harringtons, who remained unbeaten for a time, ultimately lost.

Luke Harringtons?

He didn’t quite understand why he thought of this person now, but the chilling sensation kept creeping up.

There was always a feeling that Joshua Hughes’s woman couldn’t be divorced from Luke Harringtons?

He could seem to envision that moment again, a scene he’d replay countless nights throughout his life, remembering even every glance she gave.

Back then, when she couldn’t get the money, she could have fled. Yet she returned, adhering to her promise, entering his room alone, closing the door.

She hid her husband’s heart-wrenching cries outside the door, then slowly, slowly, undid each button, saying, ”Brother Geogre, others say bad things about you, but I trust you’ll fulfill your promise. If you dare break it, I won’t let you go even in death. If he dies, I surely won’t live alone.”

As she finished speaking, she was devoid of any cover. It was the most beautiful body in the world, holy and captivating, driving any man insane. He went mad too...

That night let him experience ecstasy like never before.

She was an extraordinary woman, allowing him to ravage her body furiously, yet tightly bit her lips until they bled without uttering a sound.

He always enjoyed women who were proactive, yet perversely, her dead-fish-like passivity brought him to a peak of excitement.

That was unprecedented, and that time marked the first he felt pangs of pity, releasing Luke Harringtons without taking that woman since knowing her nature; if forced to stay, she would certainly die.

Fearing Luke would return, he severed three of his fingers and had that woman nakedly carried out, believing such an act would leave a lifelong shadow in Luke’s mind, preventing him from gambling or even staying in Las Vegas.

He recalled standing by the room’s door, pulling up his trousers, telling Luke, ”Your wife indeed has a taste; a pregnant woman certainly drives men wild. I just wonder if this child could still be born. Your hand’s crippled, but twenty years later, remember to tell him my name is Big Head Geogre, tell him I saw him while he was still in his mother’s womb. This is your life’s revenge; if your son is capable, have him come find me twenty years later, I’ll be waiting.”

He remembered his laugh that night, so joyous and unruly; indeed, it has been more than twenty years. Could that child really have been born?

Impossible. That night he had his fill of fun; that woman bled a bit from below by the end. How could that child have lived?

”Follow closely,” Big Head Geogre said, biting his teeth. Originally prepared to deal with Atlas Hallow since he and his boss planned to consume the Hallow Clan, Atlas’s retaliating attack was expected, but Joshua Hughes’s sudden appearance was beyond their expectations.

What if someone’s truly seeking revenge?

Then he must be on guard with utmost vigilance.

Yet, after all, Las Vegas is his territory. Luring one or two people into quietly disappearing isn’t hard; when the bodies surface from the sea, they’re likely unrecognizable, and nothing can be found.

”Especially Joshua Hughes, don’t lose track for a single step.” Atlas Hallow entered Las Vegas, and arrangements were already made intending for him to die without escape, but Joshua’s arrival was unexpected.

Now is an intensely critical moment; the amount invested as hot money into the Hallow Clan no longer concerned him, white money, black money, all involved. Everyone awaited to share the Hallow Clan’s profits, and he was the lead. Mistakes couldn’t be afforded.

”Yes.” The subordinate answered and proceeded to arrange people to follow.

These times are truly crucial; alertness is imperative, mistakes could indeed lead to unimaginable consequences.

What if Atlas Hallow and Joshua Hughes combined forces?

The sky was ink-black, stars unseen, as if about to unveil a storm of blood and chaos...
