Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game

”That’s so strange, I’ll go down and take a look.” Tiger Geogre found it odd from what his subordinates had told him, so he stood up. ”Would you two like to take a look around my place?”

”I, Joshua, also want to see who is so intriguing that even Master Tiger couldn’t sit still.” Joshua Hughes had found out everything he wanted to know, and it was about time to pick up Avery Jane. That little fool didn’t even know how to lose money, but as long as she was happy, that was all that mattered.

Atlas Hallow also stood up. Such a miraculous event naturally piqued his interest, making him want to see if there truly was a gambling god in this world.

If it’s about luck, then not having taken out any chips since coming in was indeed a bit incredible.

No matter when it is, a casino is always crowded with people.

When the large glass door was pushed open, a wave of heat swept in. The opulently decorated interior carried such a strong scent of money and desire that it felt almost suffocating, and the various gambling tables were a dizzying sight.

The bodyguard reported Avery Jane’s location, and the corners of Joshua Hughes’ mouth curled into a smile. He never expected her to have played in a place like a casino for two hours.

At a large table sat a few people, all men, and a few were fair-skinned, blond and blue-eyed individuals.

Avery Jane sat quietly there in a black, elegant dress, her long hair cascading over her profile, a quintessential blend of oriental delicate charm and allure that caught the eyes of many, while alongside her, Charlotte Miller dressed simply and casually in a thin shirt and loose wide-legged jeans, her unadorned, naturally beautiful appearance being a refreshing sight in the casino.

Avery Jane listened intently; each round of betting involved a million, just as she happened to have slightly more than a million in her hand. If she lost that million, the rest she would cash in and take Charlotte out for a big meal, not knowing how long Joshua would be busy.

Charlotte also focused on the cards, always thinking there was some probability involved, yet somehow Avery Jane managed to bet more accurately than her, which was indeed a bit strange.

The game began with the first round of dealing.

Avery Jane bit her lip; she had only enough capital to bet once, and thus only one chance.

Her beautiful eyes sparkled like the most dazzling jewels, catching the light with a twinkle that made others almost entranced at a glance. Charlotte couldn’t help but admire inwardly how truly beautiful Avery Jane was. Her mother always said Avery Jane would definitely be more beautiful than Luna Miller when she grew up, and it seemed her mother really had a keen eye.

Avery Jane whispered to Charlotte, saying that after this round, they should go eat together.

Charlotte nodded, watching anxiously as the dealer continued to deal the cards.

By the rules, Avery Jane had to decide whether to follow or fold. She glanced at her cards, curled her lips into a smile, and chose to follow.

Everyone watched this beautiful woman’s confident and charming smile, guessing she must have a good hand. In the second round of dealing, Avery Jane’s delicate hands pushed forward, and her rosy lips softly uttered two words: ”I follow.”

Slowly, the game carried on until the final round of dealing. At the table, two people had already given up, eyes red, casting their cards and dropping their chips to sit by the side and watch. After all, betting a million a round was considered high stakes in this hall.

Seeing her cards, Avery Jane couldn’t help but laugh at the two fools; their hands were much bigger than hers. Had they persisted until the final draw, the chances are, she would have lost, as she was betting on that tiny fraction of a chance. If that card fell into her hand, the game could turn around; if not, she’d be left with just a few chips to take Charlotte out for a nice meal.

A million in chips was pushed out lightly by her, as she wanted to see this final card, feeling she might win, having such an intuition.

”Master Tiger, look, it’s those two women, but one of them isn’t gambling...” The subordinate refrained from any significant action; after all, this was a business conducting business openly, and they couldn’t cause trouble just because someone won money. Especially when it was such a delicate woman, he pointed out Avery Jane one moment, nervously turning to Charlotte the next.

Joshua Hughes stood there watching Avery Jane, realizing she had played there for two hours, turning a thousand-dollar chip into over a million, drawing the attention of even those in the casino.
