Apocalypse Escape: Day One of Survival

Xie Ning told her uncle to drag the four grunting pigs into the house, her gaze fixed coldly on Ji Taixian.

The man shivered, then stepped forward to help up Wang Zongxuan, who was curled up on the ground. He obediently walked into the house under Xie Ning’s cold stare.

After helping Wang Zongxuan to a nearby stool, Ji Taixian swiftly lifted his shirt.

But just as he started to lift it, a sharp metal spike was pressed against his temple.

”What are you doing?” The girl’s icy voice rang in his ear, making the young man shiver.

”I-I’m, I’m taking off my clothes.”

”What are you taking your clothes off for?” the uncle beside him yelled this time.

’He’s holding a thick hemp rope, as if he’s ready to loop it around my neck and strangle me at any second...’

”T-taking off my clothes to get... get stuff.” Ji Taixian was on the verge of tears. He truly meant no harm, not one bit.

”Get what stuff?” Song Youzhi barked viciously at Ji Taixian.

’This little bastard is acting like a pervert right in front of me!’

Ji Taixian clutched the hem of his shirt tightly. ”To get... get the supplies the lady... wanted.”

Xie Ning understood. She shot him a sideways glance, her expression becoming indescribable. ”You have to take off your clothes just to get something out of your Space?”

”Y-yeah. Yeah.” The poor guy nodded vigorously.

”Hurry up,” Xie Ning commanded.

”Okay.” Ji Taixian quickly nodded, unbuttoning his shirt and lifting it up.

Then Xie Ning watched as he, like a shaman performing a ritual, began to convulse on the spot as if having a seizure, shaking uncontrollably...

His arms and legs flailed about erratically, and he even chanted under his breath while shaking.

Xie Ning silently turned away and pressed a hand to her forehead.

’He wasn’t wrong. This really is quite unseemly.’

When she saw that silly kid, Song Kexin, staring at the man without even blinking, she quickly turned her little sister’s head away.

And sure enough, as Ji Taixian continued his chaotic shaking, a pile of things came CLATTERING out from him, forming a circle around his feet.

Finally, after more shaking, a bag of flour fell out and landed heavily on the instep of his foot.

Ji Taixian winced in pain and quickly retracted his foot. ”Miss, is this enough?”

Song You’ai, who was helping two elderly people into the main hall, was completely stunned when she saw this scene.

”That’s about enough.” Xie Ning had her family move the items to a corner and stack them neatly.

She turned around to see Ji Taixian, like a frightened little rabbit, hastily pulling his open shirt closed...

Xie Ning took a step forward.

Ji Taixian took a step back. ”M-miss! Miss, what... what else do you want?”

The metal spike in Xie Ning’s hand suddenly pricked his finger.

It was just a surface-level prick, but it sent the man into a fit of terrified wailing.

”You have two choices now.”

”One: Go crawl back to your big brother. However, you’ll have to carry the metal fragments I’ve implanted in your hand for the rest of your life. The metal fragments will travel through your body with your blood. Who knows when they might find their way into your brain, and then...”

”Two! Two! I choose two!”

Wang Zongxuan, still huddled on the stool, couldn’t even bear to watch this buffoon.

Xie Ning nodded. ”You’ve chosen wisely. I trust you won’t regret today’s decision in the future.”

’This Space Ability User has to stay with me. He can act as a cover for my villa,’ Xie Ning thought, then turned and walked over to Wang Zongxuan.

Thoroughly subdued by the young woman’s power, Wang Zongxuan rolled up his sleeve without so much as a frown. ”Do it.”
