Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 638 638:- Feudal Obligations

”Your Majesty, itʼs unfortunate that your vacation ended too early.” Spencerʼs voice was filled with Sarcasm. Hearing this Aditya felt a little bad for Spencer. For over a month, Aditya had dumped all of his work on Spencerʼs shoulders and was having a worry-free vacation in the Beast Continent. However, Aditya was even more thick-skinned than Spencer. ”Thank you for worrying. Maybe in a few months, I will take another long vacation.” Aditya pretended to be serious.

Hearing this Spencer felt choked. ”Your Majesty...!!!” Spencer felt very helpless. He has been wanting to officially marry his fiance. But because of his workload, he couldnʼt find a good time. If Aditya takes another long vacation, then Spencer wonʼt be able to marry his fiance for another year or two. Spencer was already running out of patience. He wanted to marry her as soon as possible. Ever since Spencer met Aria, he basically has stopped having any private interaction with any other woman outside of work. Aria comes from a very modest and conservative culture where it is very normal for the bride to give her first time to her husband on the wedding night. Aria was also planning to do the same. Spencer respected her wishes and did not do anything to her. He was having a very hard time holding back. After all, he was no longer a normal human but instead, he had become an Infernal Abyss Dragon. Being a dragon means his sex drive has skyrocketed. It was very difficult to focus on work when he was feeling frustrated all of the time. ”Haha....!!! Obviously, I am joking. I have no such plans as of now.” Aditya tried to hint to Spencer that his plans might change depending on unexpected situations in the future. Sigh...!!

”Thatʼs good to know.” Spencer sighed in relief hearing this. ”By the way, what should we do about the Blood Moon Empire?” Spencer asked. This was the very reason that they were having a meeting as soon as the Emperor woke up. As for the girls they were taking a bath together. Harrison was the Emperor of the Blood Moon Empire. Now that their Emperor was dead, Aditya had the option to conquer the whole Empire and leave this entire matter. However, The Istarin Empire had a long-developed reputation for not letting go any of any Empire or Kingdom that messed with the Istarin Empire. Besides, Harrison would have taken over the entire Istarin Empire if Aditya had lost today. It was completely useless to be merciful towards them. ”This time I wonʼt personally go out.” Every time, the Istarin Empire conquered an Empire or a Kingdom, Aditya always personally went to the battlefield. He was powerful enough to destroy the enemy troops on his own without needing any troops. This didnʼt let the Istarin soldiers get any real battle experience. In a war, having real fighting experience can be the key to winning. A group of soldiers whoʼve fought before can often defeat many who havenʼt.

”Understood.....!!!! Which general should I send for this mission?” Spencer asked. ”Amber will be in charge of leading the troops. Henry, Scott, and Josh will be the Lieutenant Commanders under Amberʼs command. Make sure to tell them that if any of them fail to follow Amberʼs orders, they will be punished severely once this campaign ends.”

”I want Victoria to take part in this fight. Tell her, that her job is to observe and let the troops do the fighting. If the situation were to get out of hand, then she has full permission to take matters into her own hands.” ”Understood...!!!” Spencer noted down what he needed to do. ”How many troops should we deploy on this campaign?” Spencer asked. ”One million troops should be enough. Inform all of the Nobles of the Istarin Empire that they are expected to provide a minimum of 10,000 troops for this campaign. Every noble regardless of their status and condition is expected to send at least 10,000 troops. Tell them, that once this war ends, they will be rewarded handsomely.”

It was a nobleʼs feudal obligation to provide troops to the Empire when the Empire was fighting a war or invading another Empireʼs territory.

In return for military service, they received protection, land, titles, and privileges from the Monarch. This system known as feudalism, was based on reciprocal relationships where nobles were expected to supply soldiers in times of war.

”The four generals can bring 200,000 of the divisionʼs troops. The rest 800,000 troops number are to be filled by the nobles of our Empire. The more troops a noble provides the more points that noble will receive.”

Usually, whenever the Istarin Empire fought a war, Aditya never officially asked the Istarin Empireʼs nobles to provide troops to fight the war. The Istarin Empire had two kinds of troops. One was the main Imperial Troops. The Imperial Troops received more cultivation resources and more benefits compared to normal normal who were under the nobles. The Imperial Troops received higher salaries and had more authority than normal troops. The nobles are expected to recruit, train, and maintain troops and use those troops to protect their territories and lend their troops to the Empire in times of war and invasion. In the Imperial troops, there were seven divisions. Each of the seven generals was in charge of each seven divisions. The generals were responsible for training their troops in their own ways. Aditya mostly used the Imperial troops when fighting any war. The Dragonians, the Dragon Warriors, and the Wyverns were all known as part of the Imperial Troops. Every single month, the Dragonians, the Dragon warriors, and the Wyverns, all received the chance to enter the Dragon Palace and cultivate for a few days. Since cultivating inside the Dragon Palace increased their cultivation speed by many times. Although Spencer was slightly bit surprised by Adityaʼs decision, he still nodded his head. ”Understood...!!!” ”But Your Majesty, I must say that it is going to take a while for all the troops sent by the nobles to arrive at the Capital.” This might take a few weeks or even a few months time. However, Aditya did not want to waste so much time. Whenever he fought a war he tried to end the war as soon as possible. ”There wonʼt be any need for all the troops to come to the Capital. Inform all the nobles that their troops can directly use the teleportation arrays to teleport to the Beast Continent; near the Blood Moon Empire. The Empire will cover the cost.” Hearing this Spencer nodded his head. ʼI guess itʼs about time that I started changing the teleportation arrayʼs power source. Instead of using Mana stones which are many times expensive, Solar stones will be a much cheaper and long-term sustainable option. Once Spencer left Aditya alone, he took out something from his storage ring. It was the corpse of the Vampire King. Before Aditya could pass out, he had specifically taken Harrisonʼs corpse along with him. He did it because of the storage ring that Harrison had. ʼShould I have someone turn him into an undead?ʼ Aditya wondered if he should do something like this. But after thinking for a moment, he decided to not do anything. Even if Harrison was turned into an undead, he wouldnʼt retain his original powers. In the end, he would be no different than ordinary undead. After taking the storage ring from Harrison, Aditya snapped his fingers. Snapp....!!!!

The crimson flames instantly burned his body to ashes. ”Now letʼs see whatʼs inside.” Aditya poured a little bit of his Mana into Harrisonʼs storage ring. At first, there was a weak defensive spell preventing his consciousness from glancing inside the storage ring but he was very easily able to break the spell and glance inside. Seeing everything inside, Aditya widened his eyes for a moment. ʼI knew this guy was wealthy, but I never imagined heʼd be this rich.ʼ Inside the storage ring, there are hundreds of 1st and 2nd-star artifacts, weapons, and armor. There were nine 9-star artifacts of various kinds. Aside from that, there were also close to 29 tons of gold. Along with other precious metals. What attracted Aditya the most was his huge collection of Mana stones. ʼJust how did he even collect this many Mana stones?ʼ There were close to 9 tones of Mana stones in his storage ring. ʼThe only possible explanation would be that he had secretly gone to the Main continent.ʼ Outside of the Main continent, it was just impossible for anyone to find 9 tones of Mana stones. After all, the conditions for Mana stones to form were very strict. And the only place on this whole planet, where Mana stones could grow was the Main continent. It was because the Mana density in the Main continent was many times higher than the six continents. ʼHe might have visited the Main continent before or after the Continental War or he never stopped secretly going to the Main continent. After all, even if Harrison had lost his Peak 5th-order cultivation powers, he was still really powerful. Especially the boost in stats that he received by using the World Treasure.ʼ

As for useless things such as clothes, sandals, and other such things, Aditya left them in the storage ring. Once he had taken all the valuable things from his storage ring, he teleported to the Treasure Vault of the Dragon Palace and then put the storage ring there. After all, given the massive size of the storage ring, this ring itself could be considered a treasure. ʼThe good news is that now I almost have enough materials to raise the level of the Dragon Palace.ʼ Aditya was really happy.

『1. 100 tons of gold [0/100]

2. 100 tons of refined iron [0/100]

3. Increase the number of Dragonians to 50,000 4. Increase the number of Dragon Warriors to 5,000 5. Find the Tree of Blood [0/1] 6. 10 tons of Mana stones [0/10]』

Thanks to its recent victories, the Istarin Empire now has more gold coins than ever before.

ʼGetting 100 tons of refined iron shouldnʼt be a problem for the Istarin Empire.ʼ Aditya could just ask Alicia to arrange this for him. Even without the massive amount of gold that the Istarin Empire had collected from its recent conquests, Aditya was still among the richest men in the whole world.

It was because of their business of selling glass all over the world. Recently Alicia even had managed to transport and sell Glass in the Main Continent. This meant, that she and Aditya was earning even more money. ʼI should start preparing to upgrade the Dragon Palace.ʼ Aditya thought in his mind. Because he was away from the Dragon Palace for over a month, the Emperor now had a lot of work waiting for him.

Sigh....!!!

ʼLife is about to become a lot busier than before.ʼ Aditya thought in his mind as he started walking out of his office. But when he opened the door, a small figure rushed into his embrace while closing the door. ”Lara...!!! Whatʼs wrong?” Aditya asked. Once Lara had been cured, she became a lot more lively than before. She was like a small child who was full of energy. Usually, at this time, she would be taking her evening nap and would wake up right before dinner. ”Lara just wanted to spend some time with Danna-sama!!” Lara said while tightly hugging Aditya. ”Where are others?” Aditya asked curiously. ”All of them are taking a bath in the hot spring,” Lara replied. ”You did not join them?” ”Hehe!! Lara wanted to be with her Danna-sama.” It wasnʼt long before both of their lips met for a long French kiss. Lara tightly wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her soft body against his. ----------------
