618 Chapter 618:- The Beast King Alliance

Lady Eleanor slowly finished chewing before she raised her head and looked at John. It was just a normal glance but....At that moment, John felt as if his soul had trembled for a second.

He started sweating. His heart began beating loudly. His whole back was already covered in sweat. Regardless of how powerful he was, In front of her, John felt as if he was a little boy. He felt really scared. He instinctively wanted to look away from her gaze.

ʼJust how powerful is she?ʼ John wondered in his mind. He had lost his appetite to eat. Just being watched by her made him very nervous and also scared.

Lady Eleanor was the most unpredictable one here. No one could guess what she was going to do next or what she was going to say next. She was the most mysterious one in the Beast Kings.

”Alright, me and my clan will join this temporary alliance of ours. But...!!!”

”I will leave this alliance whenever I feel like it.” Lady Eleanor said in a calm yet slightly cold tone.

”Do you have any objections?” Lady Eleanor asked John.

Hearing this question, John felt bitter. He bitterly smiled in his heart. The gap between him and the first and second strongest Beast Kings was just too huge. Especially in front of someone like Lady Eleanor.

ʼEven if I have objections, I canʼt say it out now can I?ʼ John thought in his mind. After all, the person asking him this question was none other than Lady Eleanor. John hadnʼt become bold enough to be arrogant or prideful in front of her.

He and others knew that Lady Eleanorʼs question was more like a polite courtesy. If he overstepped his boundaries who knows what will happen to him and his clan? John definitely wasnʼt willing to take the chance to find that out. His plan was to make as much money as possible out of this event. He certainly did not want to destroy himself or his clan in the process of getting rich.

Hiding the bitterness in his heart, John nodded his head with difficulty. His expression did not look good. But Lady Eleanor did not care about that at all.

”Of course, not!! What objections I would have?” John quickly said.

However, before Lady Eleanor could say anything in response. ”Arenʼt you being a little bit too unreasonable here, Eleanor?” Others might not have the courage to object to Lady Eleanor but it was different when it came to the strongest Beast King of the Beast Continent.

He was the oldest of the Beast Kings. In his lifetime, he had seen the rise and fall of many Beast clans and also many Beast Kings. He is one of the strongest forces in the Beast Continent. He has been the Beast King even before the Continental War. Even during the Continental War, he and his clan did not lose too much power and were able to recover their clanʼs power within a few decades.

He is also called the King of Desert and the members of his clan and his subordinates called him the King of the Beast Continent. His name is Eldric Thornehart.

The name Eldric means age and wisdom. Eldric was also the longest Patriarch of the Fiery Lion clan. He was also the longest Patriarch of a Beast Clan.

Eldric looked at Eleanor who also looked at him without saying a single word. ”How is it fair if you are allowed to suddenly back out of our temporary alliance?”

Lady Eleanor did not speak, she continued to listen to what Eldric had to say. ”What if when the Dragon grass appears, you suddenly backstab us and join the enemy side?” Eldricʼs words were on the point. Everyone agreed with Eldric, especially John Smith.

”What if you betray us when we are being surrounded by enemies? Whoever joins this alliance cannot back out of it until the profits have been divided after the fight for the Dragon grass.” Eldric made the rules clear.

John immediately nodded his head to agree along with Eldric. Others other than Oliver also nodded their heads.

”So make your decision right now. if you are going to join us, then we all welcome you with open arms but if you are not going to join us, then we all hope that we will not fight you and you will not get in our way.” Eldric calmly said these words.

Lady Eleanor looked at Eldric and everyone else in the room. Before she was unsure of what to do, but now her decision was made up. Ironically enough Eldricʼs words had helped Lady Eleanor decide what to do.

”I have made my decision. I will not be joining this temporary alliance and my clan will not be getting involved in this alliance in any way or any manner. Furthermore, I and my clan will stay out of the fight for the dragon grass. At the end of the day, I donʼt really care about the dragon grass.” Hearing her words Johnʼs expression looked ugly. He looked as if he had been slapped in the face.

”Since I have already made my decision clear, I will be taking my leave from here. Good luck on your conquest.” Everyone looked awkward as Lady Eleanor and her secretary walked out of the meeting room without saying another word.

For a moment there was an awkward silence in the meeting room.

”Hmph! Let her leave!!! in the end, sheʼs going to regret her decision.” Eldric said. Eldric was very displeased seeing Eleanorʼs attitude. He never really liked Eleanor.

John quickly nodded his head and agreed with Eldricʼs words.

But in his heart and mind, he regretted the fact that the second strongest beast king was not going to be in their alliance. He felt that he had handled this matter too poorly. Lady Eleanor and her clanʼs addition to their alliance definitely would have increased their military powers not to mention her experience would have played a very important role in the fight to get the dragon grass.

ʼPretending to be all mysterious for no good reason.....!!! What a stupid Bitch.....!!!ʼ Eldric cursed Eleanor in his mind.

But Eleanor who had just walked out of the meeting room suddenly stopped walking for some reason.

Seeing this her secretary could not help but ask what happened. ”My Lady, did anything happen?”

”Nothing....!!!” Eleanor and her secretary quickly returned to their territory. Although they werenʼt going to fight for the Dragon Grass. But in 5 days, the whole Beast Continent is going to become messy. So it would be better to prepare the whole clan for a fight. Who knows how the situation is going to escalate in 5 days when the Dragon grass finally appears?

”Is there anyone else who would like to not join the temporary Alliance?” Although till now John Was in control of the flow of conversation as soon as Eldric spoke he had taken control of the conversation from John.

Although John was feeling better about this fact but there was nothing that he could do about it. After all, Eldric was the strongest beast King. All other Beast Kings had to respect him and listen to his words.

For a moment the entire meeting room once again fell into a deep silence. John really hoped that no one else would back out of this alliance.

”I and the Moon-Wolf clan have no intention of joining this temporary alliance. So we will be here also taking our leave.” Without saying a word, Oliver got up and left the meeting room without his wife Eva.

”What a coward!!!” Eldric said as Oliver left. Although Oliver and Eva heard what Eldric said, they just pretended to not hear what the strongest Beast King said and left the room.

”Alright, since no one else is leaving. A Temporary Alliance between the five of us will be formed as of this moment. Since John was the one who came up with this idea I will give John the privilege to decide the name of our temporary alliance.” John was grateful that Eldric was giving him some face.

John smiled and suggested. ”Letʼs keep the name of our alliance simple yet truthful to who were are. I suggest - The Beast King Alliance.”

”What do you all think about this name?” John asked.

”Thatʼs acceptable for me.”

”I also agree.”

”No problem here as well.”

In the end, John looked at Eldric. ”I have no problem either.”

”The Supreme Commanderʼs position will be given to John since he is the one who came up with the idea. Does anyone have any objections with my words?” No one had any objections. Though others would have preferred Eldric to lead them. But no one said anything in front of John.

”Thank you, I wonʼt disappoint you.” John felt proudly and really happy that at least he had been successful in uniting five of the seven beast kings under his control.
