Chapter 614 614:- Flying Ship

614 Chapter 614:- Flying Ship

Aditya took a calm, deep breath and then pushed a red button near the steering wheel. As soon as he did, a little blue circle with magic symbols popped up around it, and the button itself started to glow bright red.

The whole ship gave a gentle shudder.

Percy was breathing heavily. He was beyond excited at this moment. He hadnʼt felt this excitement in a long time.

Alicia, Julia, Riya, Lara, Sasha, and Lilith couldnʼt believe their eyes as the ship began to lift off the ground, rising higher and higher until it stopped, floating in the air.

Now, the ship was hanging in the sky, five meters up from the sandy ground. Around the ship, all the magic circles lit up in a pretty blue light, making the ship look like it was wrapped in a blue glow.

The ship looked like a wooden castle that could fly. It had sails folded up and a big round balloon on top that helped it stay up in the air. The blue glowing stones on the shipʼs side were the magical Mana stones. The Mana stones were giving it power.

”You.....Your Majesty, it seems to be working.....!!!!” Percy excitedly shook Adityaʼs hands while looking around. He couldnʼt believe it. They succeeded on their first try.

The current old dwarf was like an excited child. He was so excited that he seemed to have forgotten the fact that it was the Emperor.

Seeing Percy like this, Aditya smiled. He was also feeling excited. He had successfully invented the worldʼs first Desert ship.

In the last few days, Percy did not sleep at all. He was busy making adjustments so that their first experiment wouldnʼt end in failure. Deep in his heart, he was having doubts that their first experiment would fail. He kept his expectations low so that he wouldnʼt be disappointed.

Fortunately, everything worked perfectly. The ship had successfully risen in the air.

”Letʼs go for a test run...!!!!” The ship started moving slowly before the shipʼs speed picked up.

The people inside the flying ship felt nothing as the ship easily broke the 100-kilometer mark within 5 seconds.

It did not stop there. The speed of the flying ship continued to increase.

110.....!!!

130....!!!

150.....!!!

180...!!!

200.....!!!!

Within 11 seconds, the shipʼs speed reached 200 kilometers per hour.

”Percy, check how everything is working?” Before increasing the shipʼs speed even further, Aditya wanted to check if everything was working well at this stage.

”On it...!!!” Percy and his men were already doing what Aditya told them to do.

Meanwhile from the deck of the other desert ship, Alicia, Julia, Riya, Lara, Sasha, and Lilith, saw the desert ship easily moving twice as fast as their desert ship. The girls looked astonished.

Even though it was called a small Desert ship, the size of the ship was still big. Such a big ship was smoothly flying in the air.

The flying ship continued flying upwards before the ship completely disappeared beyond the white clouds.

”Your Majesty, there isnʼt any problem. Everything is working perfectly.” Percy said.

”Then there shouldnʼt be any problem if I increase the speed of this flying ship to maximum.” Percy nodded his head and excitedly waited.

”Then letʼs go for it...!!!!”

Booom.....!!!!

In the white clouds, the flying ship moved extremely fast. The ship had reached its maximum speed.

Right now the flying ship was moving at the speed of 250 Kilometers per hour.

(This is roughly 155.343 miles per hour)

At their current speed, it would take them only 4 hours to cover a distance of 1000 km.

However soon Aditya frowned. Percy also noticed this problem.

As the flying ship reached its maximum speed, the whole ship seemed to be shaking. This was not a good sign at all.

”We must do something to fix this problem. Otherwise, it wouldnʼt be possible for the flying ship to travel at its maximum speed for a long time.”

”Agreed. Though I donʼt understand what is causing this problem.” Percy said with a thoughtful look.

”Maybe, the Flying shipʼs wasnʼt built to move at such speed. After all, we have just converted an average desert ship into a flying ship. I expected these kinds of problems to arise.” A desert ship wasnʼt built for the purpose of flying at such a high speed.

”Hmmm.....!!! I agree...!!!” Percy nodded his head while rubbing his chin

”Percy, come with me. I want to check other things.” The flying ship was running with the help of many rune arrays. Aditya wanted to check if everything was working properly.

After they were done checking, Aditya had found a few problems.

ʼWhat I was thinking. Of course, there are going to be problems and issues.ʼ Aditya thought in his mind. Aditya could see room for improvement in many different fields.

Once his Rune Monarch class reaches the 5th order, then Adityaʼs knowledge of runes is going to increase. At that time, he would be able to make even more improvements.

Firstly, once the flying ship reached its maximum speed, the energy consumption almost tripled compared to before. The main problem was that the moment the shipʼs speed exceeded the 200 mark, the energy consumption had almost tripled. When the shipʼs speed broke the 100 kilometers mark, the energy consumption had doubled.

For now, this might be a small matter. But if they want to mass-produce flying ships then this is going to become a very serious problem in the future. After all, it isnʼt a money issue but rather the limited supply of Mana stones.

ʼFor the future generations of Flying ships, I should begin my replacing Mana stones with Solar stones. I should also make adjustments in my own rune arrays so that excess amount of energy consumption could be reduced.ʼ This was just one of the many improvements that he must make.

ʼThere is also the issue with the wooden body of the ship. I need to replace wood with stronger kinds of wood or make the flying ship with a kind of metal that is light as well as very durable. But finding this kind of metal is going to be very troublesome. For now, the next few generations of flying ships have to be made with either Mithralwood or some other kind of wood that can withstand the flying speedʼs maximum speed and wouldnʼt start shaking.ʼ

ʼIf this change isnʼt made, then in the future, we wonʼt be able to make ships that can go beyond the speed of 250. Because the body of the ship wouldnʼt be able to withstand it.ʼ Aditya made a mental note to discuss with Riya about this matter.

In this world, there are certain rare kinds of wood that are tougher than iron and are also very light. But acquiring these woods in a large quantity might be a little bit troublesome even for the Istarin Empire. After all, itʼs not about money. itʼs about the limited supply of such woods in this world.

Aditya also has found other issues such as overheating of some Rune arrays when the flying ship reaches its maximum speed.

ʼForm overheating the rune arrays might explode. If just one of these rune arrays exploded then itʼs going to bring the entire flying ship down.ʼ Aditya thought in his mind.

ʼThere are also difficulties with the steering wheel.ʼ While driving the steering wheel, Aditya found that it doesnʼt always respond quickly which made it tougher to dodge obstacles or land safely.

”Your Majesty, I couldnʼt help but feel that there are some issues with the balancing of the ship. The ship tilts too much to one side, especially when it turns. This could throw everything on the ship off balance especially when making a turn at full speed.” Percy wasnʼt the one who noticed this problem. But this problem wasnʼt that serious so it did not require Aditya to immediately fix it.

”Also the flying ship is noisier and shakes more than expected, which is not only uncomfortable but can also wear out parts of the ship faster. We must do something about this problem as well.” Aditya nodded his head.

Around 20 minutes later, Alicia, Julia, Riya, Lara, Sasha, and Lilith saw the flying ship returning. The ship came out of the white clouds and then the ship slowly descended to the ground. But the ship did not touch the ground, it was hovering 5 meters above the ground.

Aditya came to the girls to meet them.

”How did everything go?” Julia excitedly asked.

”Everything went well but there are some problems that urgently need to be fixed. But donʼt worry, fixing this problem shouldnʼt take that much time. At most, it will take 3 to 4 hours.” Aditya already had an idea of how he was going to prevent the mana arrays from overheating.

”I guess, we will need to wait again....!!!!” Aditya nodded his head. Once the problem with the overheating of Rune arrays was fixed, then they could use this desert ship to continue their journey towards the southern region.

As long as the speed of the flying ship didnʼt exceed the 200 km mark then everything should be alright.

”Before that, Riya can you help me out?”

”With what?” Riya asked looking confused.

”Can you grow Mithralwood? You see, the woods which were used to make these desert ships are weak. Mithralwood is stronger than iron and also very light. Mithralwoods will be perfect.”

Mithralwood is Infused with the essence of mithril. This wood is not only incredibly tough but also remarkably lightweight, making it a valuable material for both weapons and armor. construction.

”I can.” Riya did not tell Aditya that growing Mithralwood is a lot tougher and takes a lot of mana. For Adityaʼs sake, she was willing to give her life. This was nothing but a small matter.

Scene change____

Around 10 days later, a giant flying ship was moving through the white clouds at a super fast speed.

The flying ship was rapidly approaching the edge of the southern region of the Beast Continent.

”What are you reading?” Aditya came to the living room which was also the captainʼs cabin. Looking outside, all they saw was white clouds around them.

Hearing Adityaʼs words, Lara closed the book that she was reading. Lara looked at Aditya who sat next to her.

”Lara is reading a romantic novel,” Lara replied in a low tone.

Aditya made her small head rest on his chest. Her body was also leaning against him. He had wrapped his hand around her small and soft waist.

”Really...!!! What is the plot of this novel?” Aditya curiously asked. He never was a novel reader. Even back in his world, Aditya was never interested in reading novels. However, due to the influence of Lara and Alicia on him, he had slightly changed. Though he would never read any novel sometimes Alicia or Lara would read novels while he rested on their lap.

”The story is about a man who loves his big brotherʼs wife. In the early stage of the novel, the big brother had met unfortunate accident and had died. 10 years later, the little brother who is the MC has grown up. The MC has always secretly loved his sister-in-law. And because of her, he even breaks his engagement.”

Hearing this Aditya raised his eyebrow. That sounds like a messed up story but he did not say it out loud. Since it looks like Lara is really enjoying reading this novel.

”We are about to reach the ruins of the Great Starry Kingdom? Are you excited?” Aditya asked Lara while stroking her hair.

”Lara is really happy.” That place was no longer her home. Maybe at some point in time that place used to be her home but now her home was with her husband.
