Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

After Su Wuhan had been handed over the Elder Dust Fairy for her to handle, Xuan Hao didn’t think about him any longer as he returned to his cultivation room while pondering over how to hide Pei Yang from the cultivators from the Blue Sea Empire who would undoubtedly show up in another year.

Although he could keep him hidden inside the Star Shattering Sect like he had done so far, he couldn’t guarantee that some of the disciple or elders outside the sect didn’t mention him in a place where a few of the people from the Blue Sea Empire happened to be present.

Trying to limit the disciples and elders of the sect wasn’t really an option either, as they weren’t the only ones who knew about Pei Yang’s existence.

The number of people who had learnt about Pei Yang’s existence during his lecture once a month, pretty much made it impossible to hide his existence in case someone from the Blue Sea Empire did look into the Star Shattering Sect.

”At least the people from the Blue Sea Empire are not coming because of the Star Shattering Sect, but instead to deal with the demonic cultivators. If we just keep a low profile during that time and don’t draw any attention, we should be fine…” Muttering this to himself as he thought about the situation, Xuan Hao could only hope that the people from the Blue Sea Empire wouldn’t end up becoming interested in the Star Shattering Sect during their short visit to their territory.

Considering that the situation with the demonic cultivators in the rest of the smaller empires that fell under the Blue Sea Empire, they might be lucky and have the experts from the Blue Sea Empire ignore the Star Shattering Sect and its territory in its entirety.

After all, it is handling the situation well and hasn’t really taken any damage from the continuous stream of demonic cultivators. If anything, it had managed to take advantage of the situation to grow stronger.

A stark difference when compared to the situation of an empire like the Onyx Empire that had already lost a territory larger than that of the Star Shattering Sect to the demonic cultivators.

If anything, the Blue Sea Empire would properly feel happy that they wouldn’t have to send any of their stronger experts out to a remote place like the Star Shattering Sect.

Whoosh~

With that in mind, Xuan Hao closed eyes as he began cultivating. Knowing that there wasn’t much he could do to try and prevent the stronger cultivators from the Blue Sea Empire possibly looking into the Star Shattering Sect and finding out about Pei Yang’s existence.

On the other hand, trying to prevent the Blue Sea Empire from noticing something might end up backfiring. Drawing more attention to the Star Shattering Sect…

Following Xuan Hao’s return to the sect, not much changed outside the movements caused by Elder Dust Fairy as she used the sect’s resources to start the process of expanding the sect’s intelligence network into the territory of the demonic cultivators. Even planning to use them in places outside the Star Shattering Sect that she had failed to expand into so far.

The most notable among these potential candidates for expansion was the Onyx Empire. Not just because it was directly bordering the Star Shattering Sect’s territory, but also because the large number of demonic cultivators causing chaos in their territory would make it easier to sneak inside and help building up an information network inside the Onyx Empire.

Of course, she wasn’t expecting these demonic cultivators to survive when the people from the Blue Sea Empire arrived to clean up the place in another year, but she at least wanted to have them create a stable base for the people under her to take over and establish a permanent presence inside the Onyx Empire.

At the same time, she also began working together with Elder Song trying to figure out a way for her new True Demon Realm subordinate to survive when the people from the Blue Sea Empire appeared.

After all, even though Xuan Hao didn’t care about Su Wuhan so to speak, she very much wanted him to stay alive, as he would be indispensable for the expansion of her information network.

In the end, after three months trying to figure out a solution while the first few secret outposts of demonic cultivators began to pop up inside the Onyx Empire, Elder Dust Fairy finally came up with a solution.

Have Su Wuhan pretend to die at the hands of the winged lion demon beast a short time before the people from the Blue Sea Empire show up and secretly slip away before hiding inside a secret realm.

Although this method wasn’t perfect as it would be impossible for Su Wuhan to fake his death if anyone of similar strength was present and he would inevitably end up leaving traces behind while leaving, Elder Dust Fairy felt confident that the people from the Blue Sea Empire wouldn’t think twice after hearing about Su Wuhan’s death. At most doing a simple check to validate the information by asking around at the place where Su Wuhan would have died to the winged lion demon beast.

The reason for this confidence was the fact that the situation in the Onyx Empire had deteriorated greatly over the past three months, as more powerful demonic cultivators appeared. Even a terrifying demon in the Demon Lord Realm had shown up for a brief moment and ended up killing one of the Soul Ascension Realm cultivators from the Onyx Empire before being before disappearing in the direction of the Blue Sea Empire.

Though she had no idea what this powerful demonic cultivator was up to, she at least knew that this was a good thing for the Star Shattering Sect and her plan, as the attention of the Blue Sea Empire along this part of the border with the Frozen Wasteland would be fully focused on the Onyx Empire that was starting to show signs of collapsing…

Indeed… As Elder Dust Fairy had guessed, the situation in the Onyx Empire grew worse over the next few months, as over five demonic cultivators in the True Demon Realm had appeared to cause havoc. Essentially forcing the remaining Soul Ascension Realm ancestors of the Onyx Empire into hiding away in their imperial capital while the rest of their empire grew increasingly chaotic with the number of demonic cultivators growing.

By the time another six months had passed and it had been nine months since she had been handed over control of Su Wuhan, Elder Dust Fairy personally witnessed the capital city of the Onyx Empire being besieged by the five True Demon Realm demonic cultivators and countless weaker demonic cultivators through a special artifact being carried by one of the demonic cultivators that was part of her intelligence network.

Not to mention holding on for another three months until the experts of the Blue Sea Empire were said to show up according to Xuan Hao, Elder Dust Fairy doubted that the three remaining Soul Ascension Realm cultivators inside the capital city would be able to hold on for more than a few days… And that was only due to the fact that they had the protection of the capital’s defensive formation.

If not for the help of the formation, they might not even have lasted a single day due to the fact that the True Demon Realm demonic cultivators attacking them were all above them in strength, one of them even having reached the later stages of the True Demon Realm

”Will the Onyx Empire really fall just like that?” Muttering this to herself as she kept watching the increasingly bad situation that the three Soul Ascension Realm cultivators found themselves in, Elder Dust Fairy could not help wondering if she was about to witness the downfall of an empire.

Not just Elder Dust Fairy, countless people were paying attention to the situation in the Onyx Empire. All of them understanding that if the Blue Sea Empire didn’t step in, it would mark the end of the Onyx Empire and the subsequent flood of demonic cultivators from the Frozen Wasteland would turn the once majestic empire into a paradise for demonic cultivators, as there were still a lot of kingdoms left inside the Onyx Empire’s borders that could be devoured by these demonic cultivators…

BOOOOOM-!

And three days after the attack on the imperial capital of the Onyx Empire began, the guardian formation that had stood strong for countless years, fell under the continuous attack of the five powerful demonic cultivators-

Whoosh-!

Whoosh-!

Whoosh-!

Forcing the three Soul Ascension Realm cultivators hidden inside to fly out and fight back.

However, given the difference in strength, it didn’t take long before one of them died and the other two fled in the direction of the Blue Sea Empire. Officially marking the end of the Onyx Empire as the five demonic cultivators descended upon the defenseless capital city to devour the people inside…
