Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

At the same time that Xuan Hao arrived back in his cultivation room while thinking about demonic cultivators, Su Wuhan, the demonic cultivator that had been fighting the winged lion demon beast every day since its breakthrough to the Soul Ascension Realm and his own break through to the True Demon Realm, silently arrived at the border of the Star Shattering Sect with an unbearable killing intent in his eyes as he stared towards a group of the Star Shattering Sect’s disciple hunting down demonic cultivators not too far away.

Rooooar-!

However, before he could attack this group of disciples who were only watched over by a single elder in the Nascent Soul Realm, a loud roar followed by the emergence of a massive, winged lion demon beast stopped him.

”Damnable beast! It’s here already!?” Seeing this demon beast that had already arrived in front of him before he could kill the group of disciples and elder from the Star Shattering Sect, Su Wuhan could not help silently cursing at the winged lion demon beast as he was soon engaged in a deadly battle that forced all the surrounding cultivators and demonic cultivators to run away.

In the end, the battle lasted for a little over two hours before Su Wuhan was forced to take his leave, as the winged lion demon beast’s strength had slightly surpassed his own after it had broken through to the Soul Ascension Realm. Meaning that an extended battle might seriously injure him and possible give it a chance to kill him.

Even then, it didn’t stop Su Wuhan from trying to enter the territory of the Star Shattering Sect on a daily basis.

Not because there was something special about the Star Shattering Sect’s territory, but because more powerful demonic cultivators had already monopolized the areas where the Frozen Wasteland was connected to the Onyx Empire or other nearby empires.

”Damn it all! If not for those powerful ones forcing everyone out from the central part of the Frozen Wasteland, I would have been able to stabilize my cultivation properly without taking any risk after I broke through to the True Demon Realm!” Muttering this to himself filled with anger and fear, Su Wuhan landed on an abandoned mountain a short distance away from the Star Shattering Sect’s border before he began to recover from his recent battle with the winged lion demon beast.

Although he felt angry at the winged lion demon beast that was constantly blocking his path and preventing him from crossing the Star Shattering Sect’s territory, he felt even more anger towards the powerful demonic cultivators who were behind his current desperate situation.

If not for them, he wouldn’t have to risk his life like this and continue causing chaos by pushing forward recklessly with the rest of the demonic cultivators just after breaking through to the True Demon Realm.

However, even if he wanted to just leave and not get involved in the schemes of those powerful demonic cultivators, he didn’t really have a choice, as going against them would result in death.

Not just because he would be hunted down by them, but also because one of these powerful demonic cultivators had shown up a few hours after his breakthrough to the True Demon Realm and had directly placed a seal on him and told him to continue pushing forward with the rest of the weaker demonic cultivators.

”If just I had a way to undo that restriction…” Whispering this to himself with a helpless and fearful expression on his face as he felt around his neck where a barely visible collar made up of small indiscernible symbols was located, Su Wuhan could not help feeling like his life was no longer in his own hands.

Instead, he had already become a pawn for those powerful demonic cultivators. The only way for him to escape his current predicament being if his strength managed to break through to the Demon Lord Realm above the True Demon Realm, but… The chances of that happening before he ended up dead were close to nonexistent.

After all, during his time as a demonic cultivator, he had learnt a lot about the different major powers in the central part of the continent and understood that it was only a matter of time before they dispatched their powerful experts to suppress the demonic cultivators.

Although this seemed to be the goal of those powerful demonic cultivators given their actions so far, he had no idea why they wanted to do something like this and to be honest, he didn’t care that much about it. The only thing he cared about was the fact that he would almost definitely die when those powerful experts came to suppress the demonic cultivators!

”The ones I will have to deal with should be from the Blue Sea Empire… I wonder how much time I have left before they show- Hm!?” As he was lost in his own thoughts trying to figure out how to escape from his current situation of being used as a pawn by others, Su Wuhan suddenly jumped into the air with a cautious expression on his face as he noticed someone approaching him.

Not just that, but the person approaching him was also a demonic cultivator… And someone who had similarly reached the True Demon Realm like himself!

”Who is it!?”

Following his question, a shadowy figure emerged a short distance away from him before changing into a tall demonic figure standing more than five meters tall.

”Hehe, no need to worry little king, I’m not here to harm you.”

Hearing the eerie voice that came from the demonic figure, Su Wuhan could not help showing a shocked expression on his face.

Not because of the eerie voice, but because of the fact that the owner of the voice seemed to know about his past identity as the king of the Azure Sky Kingdom, something that he hadn’t told anyone about since he had become a demonic cultivator.

And… Considering the fact that the Azure Sky Kingdom had only been a small kingdom back before its fall due to his absence and the emergence of the Star Shattering Sect, it was even more surprising that someone at the True Demon Realm knew about this.

”No need to look at me like that. Don’t you remember the demonic cultivation technique you found back then? Do you really think it was a coincidence that you, a little king at the Nascent Soul Realm, was able to find such a demonic cultivation technique and reach the True Demon Realm in such a short period of time?”

”You… T-the immortal devil scripture I found back then was-”

”Indeed, it was left behind by an elder from my sect who happened to see that you had a fitting physique for practicing it. Of course, deciding to follow the demonic path was your own choice, heheh~”

”…”

Not knowing what to say after hearing what the demonic figure said, Su Wuhan was left in a state of disbelief as he remembered how he had first found the immortal devil scripture that led him on to the demonic path.

Back then, he had stumbled on what seemed like an abandoned cave dwelling with a barely functioning concealment formation a few years after he broke through to the Nascent Soul Realm.

Having thought himself lucky, he had rushed inside and searched through the place. Ultimately finding the devil immortal scripture, a legendary demonic cultivation mantra that showed him a clear path far beyond the Nascent Soul Realm and an interspatial ring with fetal blood pills refined from the blood of over a thousand newborns that would be able to help elevate his strength all the way to the Third Demonic Transformation Realm.

Of course, knowing the danger of becoming a demonic cultivator back then, he didn’t get tempted and instead stored the pills and technique away.

Only after hundreds of years and remaining stuck on the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm without any sign of breaking through to the Domain Lord Realm, did he begin to feel tempted by the demonic path and started studying the immortal devil scripture.

Only stepping on to the demonic path after barely escaping from Archbishop Soft Breeze back when he had clashed with the church of the plague god.

Wait, is my master from back then perhaps-

”Hehe, seems like you already figured it out, the mysterious master you followed back during your time as the little king of the Azure Sky Kingdom was none other than an elder of my sect. Of course, he only intended to point you in the right direction and didn’t interfere too much after you finally decided to enter the demonic path.”

”But the plans from back then and-”

”Nothing more than a way to keep you distracted and have you come in contact with the demonic path.”

”This… Why are you here…?” Feeling like his life back during his time as the king of the Azure Sky Kingdom was nothing more than a lie that had been arranged by his master to carry out his so-called plan that now turned out to be nothing more than a ploy to get him more familiar with the demonic path, Su Wuhan could not help slumping down with a look of disbelief on his face as he asked this.
