Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Hm? This person isn’t one of the Blue Sea Empire’s Eight Immortals nor one of their four Sea Generals… Is it perhaps someone who was nurtured in secret by them or someone from another empire?

At the same time Xuan Hao was observing him, the demonic cultivator slowly approaching was also observing him while trying his best to guess his identity to no avail. Only able to guess that he should be from one of the larger powers he wasn’t familiar with or someone who had been secretly nurtured by the Blue Sea Empire.

After all, someone who had strength at the Peak of the Earth Immortal Realm wasn’t an unknown figure and would normally be widely known. Only in case of being from one of the far-off major powers not bordering the Frozen Wasteland or a secretly nurtured genius would it make sense to be unknown, but… Such situations were extremely rare.

I guess those major powers are hiding far more than they let on…

In the end, the demonic cultivator could only shake her head in awe of the hidden strength concealed by the different major powers as she came to a stop a few hundred meters away from where Xuan Hao was standing with the interspatial ring of the now dead old demonic cultivator.

”Might I ask who this is? I don’t seem to be familiar with this fellow cultivator… Ah! You just call me Xuan Gui, though I’m better known as the spirit devouring wanderer outside the Frozen wasteland.” Not carrying the slightest hint of ill intentions, the demonic cultivator happily introduced herself.

However, after hearing the name, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a shiver run down his spine. Not so much due to fear, but more so because the name, spirit devouring wanderer, was quite well-known across the Blue Sea Empire. Even reaching the point where he happened upon it quite a few times during his time in the Blue Sea Empire, both through story telling of cultivators he happened to overhear or a few historical records he had read through to pass time.

From what he knew, the spirit devouring wanderer had once been a well-known wandering cultivator at the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm before she had become a demonic cultivator.

However, this all changed when a young master from the Blue Sea Empire’s imperial family took a fancy to her and wanted to take her in as a concubine, something that a wandering at the Domain Lord Realm without any backing had no way to refuse.

In the end, she was dragged all the way to the imperial capital of the Blue Sea Empire against her will… And it was during this time in the imperial capital, in the days leading up to her marriage, that she had chanced upon a demonic technique.

With no other way out of her current situation and unwilling to become someone’s concubine, she practiced the demonic technique and secretly became a demonic cultivator while hiding this fact from everyone around her and the powerful cultivators present in the imperial capital… And pretending she agreed to the marriage, she managed to change the location for the marriage to somewhere outside the imperial capital, where she ambushed her to be husband at the Earth Immortal Realm and managed to devour his spirit and breakthrough to the Demon Lord Realm in a single step.

Not just stopping at that, she soon went on a rampage and slaughtered countless Soul Ascension Realm Experts and three Earth Immortal Realm cultivators. Devouring all of their essence and using it to further increase her own strength to a level close to the Peak of the Demon Lord Realm.

Instantly going from a Peak Domain Lord Realm Expert without any real influence or power, to a feared demonic cultivator who stood at the pinnacle of the continent. Only below those Celestial Immortals and Demon King powerhouses who rarely showed themselves.

Hm… If I don’t remember wrongly, the information about what happened back then also did include the emergence of a Celestial Immortal Realm ancestor from the Blue Sea Empire after she broke through to the Demon Lord Realm and killed three more Earth Immortals. Although, information of what happened after that is lost or deliberately hidden…

Thinking this to himself as he looked towards Xuan Gui who was floating in the air in front of him without any hostility, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a sense of admiration towards her.

Not just because of the reason she had ended up becoming a demonic cultivator, but also because he hadn’t heard about her slaughtering wantonly like most other demonic cultivators who had reached a similar realm to her.

”A pleasure to meet you, I’m Xuan Hao, an elder from the Star Shattering Sect. Not related to the Blue Sea Empire.”

And because of this respect he felt towards her, Xuan Hao decided to introduce himself instead of just attacking her like he had first planned to do. Making sure to state that he was in no way related to the Blue Sea Empire, as he had a feeling that it wouldn’t be a good idea to do so.

”Xuan Hao? Star Shattering Sect? Never heard of you or your sect before, but I guess it has been quite some time since I last left the Frozen Wastelands…” Nodding her head with a slight smile on her face as she said this, Xuan Gui took a few steps back as she got into a combat position. ”Well, you should have comprehended the Dao of Space from what I’ve seen so far and the fact that you aren’t leaving even though you have the ability to do so without me being able to do anything about it should be because you are looking for a fight. No?”

”Indeed, I just happened to have had a few improvements in my strength lately and wanted to find someone to test it on.” Smiling a bit as he said this while looking towards Xuan Gui, Xuan Hao didn’t waste any more words as he attacked the next second. Not holding back like he had done against the weaker old demonic cultivator.

BOOOOM-!

Soon causing the ground beneath the two of them to get blown apart as they collided with each other midair for the first time.
