Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

As the sword attack left the silver sword and swept towards him, the old demonic cultivator instantly recovered from his confused state, as his body morphed into a more than ten-meter-tall demonic figure that boldly stepped forward to fight against the sword attack-

Roar-!

BOOM!

And along with an almost bestial roar, the sword light and demonic cultivator collided in the air above the small mountain. Instantly causing a terrifying shockwave to spread out from the source of the impact. Leveling the mountain below, while at the same time alerting the nearby True Demon Realm demonic cultivators to what was happening behind them.

Whoosh-!

Bang!

As for the demonic cultivator who had boldly stepped forward to block the attack, he was sent flying into the ground where the small mountain had once stood. Creating a crater almost twice the size in the process.

”This… You’re a Half Bloom Stage Earth Immortal!?” Shrugging off the nearby rubble and loose stones that had buried his body, the old demonic cultivator could not help narrowing both his eyes dangerously as he said this while looking up towards Xuan Hao floating in the air like nothing had happened, a hint of fear barely visible in the depth of his eyes.

After all, the difference between someone in the Half Bloom Stage of the Earth Immortal Realm and someone in the earlier stages of the Earth Immortal Realm was massive… And he himself was only someone comparable to someone in the earlier stages of the Earth Immortal Realm. Having only recently managed to break through to become a Demon Lord Realm demonic cultivator.

In a sense, the reason why he had taken the initiative to try and destroy the barrier that blocked off the weaker demonic cultivators from entering the territory of the Star Shattering Sect was because he wanted to earn some merits and be seen as useful for the overall plan of the Grand Demon King.

However, having encountered a terrifying Earth Immortal Realm cultivator like Xuan Hao who was only a single step below the Celestial Immortal Realm and could only be faced by the strongest Demon Lords, he didn’t even wait for him to answer as a pair of wings sprouted on his back before he jumped out of the crater and rushed deeper into the Frozen Wasteland.

Given his many years as a demonic cultivator living life on the edge of death every day until finally reaching the Demon Lord Realm, he understood very well that a cowardly escape was far better than dying.

”The strength is decent and definitely allows me to possess the strength to fight someone in the Middel Stage of the Dao Seed Realm.”

Having had the opportunity to test off the strength of his sword soul while it was imbued into his sword, Xuan Hao was more than satisfied with its strength, as he looked in the direction of the old demonic cultivator who had already started to disappear from his field of view.

”He sure ran fast… Though, he doesn’t expect it to be that easy to run away. Does he?” Chuckling to himself as he said this, Xuan Hao took a step forward as the space in front of him briefly twisted before he seemed to teleport almost half the distance that the old demonic cultivator had traveled in a single step. Showing just how terrifying the Dao of Space was when it came to chasing someone and also demonstrating why it was impossible to catch someone proficient in the Dao of Space without certain special precautions or overwhelming strength…

Whoosh~!

Like this, Xuan Hao arrived in front of the escaping demonic cultivator in only a few steps-

Swish-!

Wasting no time as his sword swung down towards him with the same power as before. Only now seeming a bit more refined, as Xuan Hao had never fought with anyone since his sword intent had broken through to the Sword Soul Realm, thus resulting in him taking the opportunity to refine his sword soul and Dao of the Sword in battle.

The reason for this was also because he had managed to see just how much Chu Yang’s comprehension of the Dao of the Spear had managed to improve through battle over the past few months. Making him want to try and see if he could also emulate this through using the sword in battle against a decently strong opponent like the demonic cultivator in front of him.

”Wha- Dao of Space!?”

BAAAAANG-!

Taken aback by Xuan Hao appearing in front of him all of a sudden, the demonic cultivator could only yell out in surprise as he was forced to defend himself against the sword attack. Once again, forcing him into the frozen tundra below.

Whoosh-!

Emerging a short time later, the old demonic cultivator wasn’t the slightest bit happy, as his face seemed to be filled with regret after realizing that Xuan Hao had comprehended the Dao of Space. Knowing that his chances of surviving in the face of such a person were low.

Rooooaar-!

However, this didn’t mean that he intended to just give up on fighting. Instead, he intended to go all out and try to draw the attention of the more powerful demonic cultivators who he knew would be monitoring the situation of the Frozen Wastelands borders.

If he could draw the attention of one of those powerful demonic cultivators. Although killing the cultivator in front of him wasn’t that high, he would at least be able to safely escape from his current situation!

Boom-boom-boom!

With this in mind, the old demonic cultivator and Xuan Hao soon began clashing in the air above the Frozen Wasteland.

The devasting power of the clashes killing any unfortunate demon beast or demonic cultivator that happened to pass by nearby, as Xuan Hao’s sword became more and more refined with each attack. Taking full advantage of the opportunity given to him by the demonic cultivator to refine his sword through battle instead of trying to kill the demonic cultivator.

After all, killing the demonic cultivator didn’t have that much use when it came to increasing his own strength.
