Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Arriving back at his cultivation room unaware of the fear he had unintentionally caused Bai Ning by suddenly leaving, Xuan Hao calmed himself down before pulling up the interspatial ring quest.

[Limited Time Quest: You have found a brilliant way to recruit new potential disciples! Scatter 1000 interspatial rings around the world. The system will add a specific test to the ring that will test the potential future disciples. Interspatial Rings will only be counted towards the quest if they are scattered a certain distance away from each other. Timer will begin upon reaching the Domain Lord Realm!] [6358/1000 (Complete)] [Reward will vary depending on the amount of successfully scattered interspatial rings during the time limit]

[Reward for 1000 interspatial Rings: Sword Intent Promotion, Increase the level of Sword Intent]

[Reward for 2500 interspatial Rings: Alchemy Realm Promotion, Increase Alchemy to Grandmaster Realm and increase comprehension of Dao of Alchemy to the Small Success Realm]

[Reward for 5000 interspatial Rings: Time Stone (Used in comprehension of the Dao of Time)]

Looking over the rewards from the interspatial ring quest, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a sense of excitement building up inside of him.

Indeed, waiting for such a long period of time turned out to be worth it!

Not to mention the time stone and the increase in his alchemy realm, just the sword intent alone would have been more than enough to make him happy, as it would directly increase his strength. Especially considering that his sword intent had remained stuck at the nascent sword soul realm for a long period of time without developing into a full-fledged sword soul.

He was happy enough with the reward shown by the system, that he decided to overlook the fact that 1358 of the interspatial rings he had scattered didn’t have any effect on the reward itself.

Whoosh~

Knowing it would properly take some time before he left his cultivation room as he had to absorb the rewards from the system, Xuan Hao took out his communication talisman before informing Feng Chen and a few other elders about him going into secluded cultivation for the next few weeks. Including his disciples, who seemed to be busy doing their own thing at the moment.

Even Bai Ning and Mui whom he had been about to teach just a moment ago had begun to practice blacksmithing with each other. Displaying a harmonious relationship between a senior and a junior learning from each other.

[Redeem Reward, Sword Intent Promotion: Y/N]

Yes!

And so, with further ado, Xuan Hao redeemed the first the three rewards, the sword intent promotion-

Rumble~

Instantly causing the nascent sword soul inside his dantian to start growing and changing at a speed visible to the naked eye, as different insights related to the Dao of the Sword began to appear in his head. Forcibly raising his comprehension of the Dao of the Sword from the Peak of the Small Success Realm to the Large Success Realm over a period of a few hours.

Rumble-!

After which a fundamental change seemed to take place as the sword soul, that had already grown by more than twice compared to its old size, manifested itself into a more solid shape that floated around inside his dantian.

The clearest difference compared to before, was that he could instinctively feel that he could manifest his sword soul outside his body to fight others.

Although the drain on his soul would be enormous, it would allow him to unleash far more power than normal through his sword techniques… And at the same time, he also felt he could now merge his sword soul together with a physical sword, like the silver sword he had been given by Yi Min, to lessen this burden on his soul.

Though the power would be reduced from a direct manifestation of his sword soul, it would at least allow him to use it for a longer period of time instead of the single powerful attack he could unleash with it at his current level.

”With this, my strength should be comparable to someone at the Middle Stage of the Dao Seed Realm or someone at the Half Bloom Stage of the Earth Immortal Realm.” Muttering this to himself as he felt the strength of the sword soul inside his dantian, Xuan Hao turned his attention back towards the second reward.

[Redeem Reward, Alchemy Realm Promotion: Y/N]

Yes!

And not wasting any time, he directly redeemed the second reward. Soon causing a large amount of information related to the Dao of Alchemy to flood into his mind. Containing not only insights into the Dao of Alchemy, but also countless different potion recipes similar to the other unique potion recipes the system had given him in the past.

Among them, there wasn’t a single ordinary potion recipe. Meaning that if he wanted any normal potion recipes, he would once again have to find them by himself. At least compared to the past, the current Star Shattering Sect did have a few Mystic and Transcendent Realm potion and pill recipes stored in the Grand Library of the sect. Most of them coming from the different independent sects they had taken under their wing.

Rumble~!

As he thought about the unique potion recipes from the system, Xuan Hao once again felt himself enveloped by a strange power as his comprehension of the Dao of Alchemy reached the Elementary Realm before directly breaking through to the Small Success Realm over the next few hours.

All in all, it took him a total of a little over 14 hours to fully absorb the alchemy information from the second reward of the system… And although it didn’t increase his strength as much as having his nascent sword soul break through to the sword soul realm and at the same time his Dao of the Sword reach the Large Success Realm, it did still bring him a step closer to the 36 layers that he needed to form around the dao seed in his dantian to reach the Radiant Bloom Stage that he believed would allow him to reach the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm.

In total, after spending the next week forming three new layers around his dao seed, Xuan Hao now had a total of 14 layers around his dao seed.

As for the last reward given by the system, the time stone that could be used to comprehend the Dao of Time, he didn’t try and use it, as he found out that it was something that could only be used once. Allowing the user to come into contact with the Dao of Time for short period of time.

Although this would make it far easier for him to comprehend the Dao of Time, he also understood that it would have a far better effect if he waited until he at least managed to gain some insights into the Dao of Time first. Instead of going into it completely blind and possibly losing out on the chance to comprehend the Dao of Time.

Shaking his head as he thought about this while putting the time stone in question away in his interspatial ring, Xuan Hao turned his attention towards his status, curious about the changes that should have taken place now that his strength had increased.

Whoosh~!

And with a quick sweep of his divine sense through the sect, he realized that the winged lion was nowhere to be seen. Meaning that it had most likely managed to break through to the Soul Ascension Realm outside of the sect.

The only problem was… Why had the winged lion left the sect in the first place?

Knowing how it acted normally, it wouldn’t leave the sect unless Feng Chen, Elder Song or some of the other elders requested for its help…
