Realized Game: I Hoarded 10 Billion Defense Towers

At this moment, a version update had appeared with incredibly detailed patch notes. Moreover, there was even a countdown timer to guide—or rather, rush—the players into making a choice. A scene like this startled Shen Fei.

The early release of versions 4.6 and 4.7, along with the new descriptive text, was clearly friendly toward human players. But this kind of ”friendliness” was something Shen Fei didn’t want at all. Every gift from fate has a price secretly attached! The updates for versions 4.6 and 4.7, practically spoon-fed to the human players as they were, were more a cause for worry than for joy for Shen Fei.

[DING!]

[Player’s Experience Bar has been unlocked!]

[DING!]

[Player ”Skyrocketing,” all Attribute bars on your personal panel have been unlocked!]

While Shen Fei was still reeling in confusion, several more lines of text appeared on his personal panel. Unlike other players, who could only unlock one Attribute restriction with the new version 4.7 update, Shen Fei’s Experience Bar had already been unlocked, allowing him to level up. After this update, all of his other Attribute bars were unlocked as well.

For example, the level of his Tenth Tier Defense Tower could be raised further. His items could also undergo another Enhancement. Furthermore, the progression caps on his health, Auras, skills, and so on had also been lifted.

Setting aside how difficult it would be to upgrade these things again, the mere fact that they *could* be upgraded was a privilege other players simply didn’t have.

”Brother Fei!!”

”Brother Fei!!”

”Brother Fei!!”

As the text on his personal panel slowly faded, Huang Yi’s excited voice suddenly shouted over the still-open call channel with Shen Fei. The sudden version update had left Huang Yi stunned, especially when he saw that his Defense Tower and level could be raised again. Having witnessed the immense power of Shen Fei’s Tenth Tier Defense Tower, Huang Yi was so excited his voice trembled.

BEEP!

BEEP!

BEEP!

As Huang Yi was speaking, all sorts of call requests started beeping, all directed at Shen Fei. The sudden version update, along with the massive wall of text in the patch notes, had left everyone completely bewildered. Their first thought was to ask the most powerful person they knew, Shen Fei, for help. Almost everyone who had his contact information instinctively tried to reach him at the same moment.

”Brother Fei!!”

”All the ordinary people got personal panels!”

”Everyone has abilities now!”

”They’ve all become players!”

While Shen Fei was lost in thought and before he could answer any other calls, Huang Yi’s excited voice rang out again. This version update was unprecedented, and its most seismic change was that after version 4.7, all the ordinary people who hadn’t previously inherited game abilities had now activated their personal panels.

Although more than half of humanity had already died tragically under various circumstances during the four weeks of apocalyptic disaster, hundreds of millions of people had still survived in the Great Xia. Among them, the vast majority were ordinary people who had not inherited any game abilities.

Now, with the inheritance of game abilities in version 4.7, all of these ordinary people had activated personal panels. At the same time, they also gained permission to log into the Forum.

Therefore, the instant these ordinary people activated their personal panels and gained random abilities, the world, which had just calmed down after the monster tide, was thrown into chaos once again. Some of this chaos was from countless people excitedly venting their new powers. Other parts came from people who, the moment they got their abilities, turned around to kill the players who had bullied them for the past four weeks. Even more cunning were the ambitious ones who, upon logging into the Forum, began calling for the newly activated ordinary people to unite and resist the established players who had once bullied them.

Moreover, the evil deeds committed by many of the established players were being posted all over the Forum. These ordinary people had been bullied and oppressed for four weeks. Now, having just gained abilities and access to the Forum, they were immediately swept up in all sorts of incidents.

This prompted Huang Yi, who was instantly flooded with distress calls from Tourism Management Offices everywhere, to forward the pleas for help to Shen Fei.

Disregarding everything else about the sudden version update, just one small branch of version 4.7—ordinary people activating their personal panels—was enough to make the entire Great Xia show signs of descending into chaos.

Countless ordinary people, spurred on by various ”bullying videos,” instantly banded together. For four weeks, almost all ”ordinary people” had been bullied by players to some extent. Now, these newly empowered individuals outnumbered the original players several times over. As a result, the entire Forum was very quickly dominated by posts calling them to action.

With the sudden version update, before anything else could even be addressed, the call to arms from the ”ordinary people” alone was causing disturbances in every major city.

These ”ordinary people,” who had now obtained personal panels, had each randomly awakened an ability. They had superior numbers, they now possessed abilities, and they had been bullied and oppressed. It was not hard to understand how this situation came to be.

”Separate! Issue the order immediately!”

Hearing Huang Yi’s report, Shen Fei immediately shared the experience from his past life. Right now, in this situation, the best way to avoid massive casualties was to ”separate” and ”fall back.”
