Realized Game: I Hoarded 10 Billion Defense Towers

While watching the Neutral City defenses against the monster tide on the Forum, people were also chatting and bragging.

”I have a confession to make! I have to thank Brother Chongtian! If it weren’t for him, our settlement would have been in grave danger! There was a Secret Realm near our settlement. I snuck past the defenses and went inside. I only got halfway through before realizing the monsters were too strong for me, so I quit midway. Then, the 10,000-times manifested monsters from the Secret Realm spawned right next to our settlement... If Brother Chongtian hadn’t been there, I would have committed a terrible sin!”

On the Forum, aside from the heated threads about the monster tide defense battles in various cities, players with time on their hands were more interested in the smaller, more ordinary, yet very real posts. Among them, one particularly popular thread discussed the significance of Shen Fei annihilating the 10,000-times manifested monsters.

”I’ve realized Brother Chongtian is really farsighted! Haven’t a lot of people been posting about getting mandatory monster-killing quests forced on them? If Brother Chongtian hadn’t been the first to leave monster lairs behind, we wouldn’t have anywhere to kill monsters if one of those mandatory quests popped up...”

Besides the discussion threads, there were also posts ”praising” Shen Fei on the Forum. However, no matter how one looked at it, this particular post just seemed like a high-level troll post.

”Have you even read what you wrote??”

”Did you get paid to post this?”

”I know Brother Chongtian is strong, but your bootlicking is just so pathetic...”

Most of the replies below this post were roasting the original poster.

”Why don’t you read what you wrote again?? No monsters to kill? Are the monsters inherited from the game not monsters? Are the 10,000-times manifested monsters not monsters?”

”Besides, how can you be sure the monster tides came before the quests, and not the other way around?”

”What if the mandatory monster-killing quests only appeared in version 4.5 because the monster tides broke out?”

”Maybe if there were no monster tides, there wouldn’t be any mandatory monster-killing quests at all!”

As Shen Fei began to act more openly, everyone on the Forum knew of and respected him. But some of the brainless, awkward praise posts were still getting roasted by everyone.

I left the monster lairs... just to give everyone another chance to farm monsters for experience. Even though some experience-giving Secret Realms also grant experience, Secret Realms have a weekly entry limit...

Watching the Forum at the height of the monster tide’s outbreak, Shen Fei saw some people complimenting him for intentionally leaving the monster lairs while others were arguing with them. As he scrolled through the posts, Shen Fei couldn’t help but think to himself.

The only reason he did it was because, after the version 4.7 update in the future, everyone would be able to level up. Although he had only experienced version 4.7 for a short time in his past life, he had heard that in many places, the monster populations were insufficient.

Monsters were powerful, but as soon as human players unlocked their Experience Bars and learned that killing monsters granted experience that could make them stronger, they would be slaughtered by the frenzied players—no matter how many there were or how strong they were—as long as there was a profit to be made.

It was for this reason that Shen Fei had intentionally left behind various monster tides, so they could be of use after the version 4.7 update. Although the experience from the monsters in the tides would be reduced due to their vast numbers, they still held a massive amount of experience that could be absorbed.

Leaving the monster lairs wasn’t for the reasons the players were arguing about in the posts. However, Shen Fei had no intention of correcting or steering this ”discussion.”

Let them think what they want.

For now, he was waiting. Waiting for the version update that he was certain would appear.

Holding his breath, Shen Fei centered himself, preparing to face the monster tide’s final boss and whatever the world update might bring. He said nothing and made no other movements. He just quietly waited for time to pass...

TICK!

TICK!

TICK!

Another half hour quickly passed. Just as Shen Fei was judging that the monsters from the various lairs had almost finished spawning—and that it was time for the boss to appear so he could kill it and get a [Bloodline Gemstone]—someone suddenly began contacting him frantically.

Brother Huang?

Seeing the emergency call request was from Huang Yi in the Divine Capital, Shen Fei couldn’t help but be curious. Earlier, when he had gone to the Divine Capital, he had planted a few Defense Towers on its city walls. Although Huang Yi’s Combat Power had increased by another huge margin after the fourth game ability inheritance, the Divine Capital encompassed not just a large city, but a medium-sized one too. Therefore, to avoid having to rush over for a rescue again, Shen Fei had simply placed a wave of Defense Towers on the Divine Capital’s walls, without even asking if they were needed.

Now, with Huang Yi suddenly making an emergency call, Shen Fei was very curious about what had happened. In all of Great Xia, if he wasn’t around, the Divine Capital with Huang Yi in it would be the city with the strongest defense. It was the most likely to be able to defend against the monster tide, including the boss, with its own power.

He didn’t understand why Huang Yi was looking for him...

”Brother Fei!!”

”Something’s come up!!”

”It’s huge!!”

As soon as the call connected, Huang Yi spoke quickly, his voice filled with urgency.

”What is it?” Shen Fei asked curiously.

”Brother Fei, do you remember that mandatory five-person quest that appeared during the third game ability inheritance?” Huang Yi quickly reminded him.

”I remember!” Of course, Shen Fei remembered that quest.
