Realized Game: I Hoarded 10 Billion Defense Towers

Chapter 48: Chapter 45: Rules Under Correction...

”Where are my Defense Towers!!!”

The world was in chaos, but in the Nanshan Villa district, one person was crying out in misery.

His family had all successfully inherited their game abilities. But after a month of preparation, his own game abilities—the ones he’d acquired by spending 2 billion through Krypton Gold—still showed no sign of appearing.

Shen Fei panicked! He truly panicked!

What’s going on?!! Did my game data get wiped? Or was my account flagged as a GM-related account?

His scalp tingling with dread, Shen Fei’s mind was in turmoil. For him, failing to inherit his game account’s abilities was far more terrifying than the game not descending upon reality in the first place!

If the game hadn’t merged with reality, then at worst, everyone would have remained ordinary people. At worst, his family’s company shares would be sold off, but nothing else would have changed. But if his abilities didn’t transfer over, then it was truly over!

With a chaotic era dawning, he hadn’t inherited a single game ability. He was completely screwed.

Although his parents and sister had inherited their game abilities, their skills were almost entirely support-based! If he had inherited his abilities, with him as the main DPS holding the front line, his family’s support skills would have had enormous room to shine. But without a powerful pillar holding the frontline, his family, with their support abilities, would instead be in grave danger. If his abilities couldn’t be inherited, then his family, possessing powerful support skills, could be captured and kept like livestock by others! He had seen plenty of situations like that in the apocalypse of his past life!

Just what is going on!

The usually calm and composed Shen Fei’s face turned deathly pale in an instant. He didn’t know what to do...

”Bro!” ”Are you okay!!!”

At 00:00:15, Shen Yue, who could now control her little red frog, called out to her brother. She noticed her brother Shen Fei’s pale face and panicked expression.

”Son!” ”Are you all right!” ”What game ability did you inherit?”

Shen Yue’s voice drew the attention of Father Shen and Mrs. Shen. Father Shen and Mrs. Shen had made their choices and inherited their game abilities at their son’s request. They both knew their son loved to play games. Moreover, just the day before yesterday, their son had deliberately brought up his gaming in front of Father Shen.

At this moment, they had no idea that Shen Fei hadn’t inherited his game. They were certain their son had inherited his game abilities. They were just guessing that their son’s current state was because he had inherited some undesirable or unsatisfactory game ability...

”I....”

Seeing three pairs of concerned eyes on him, Shen Fei felt even worse.

”Dad! Let’s ride the Celestial Horse and hide for a while!” Shen Yue shouted urgently while Shen Fei was still in shock, rapidly gathering information on her phone. ”The villa district is in chaos! Some security guards have already broken into residents’ villas!!”

In the distance, the sounds of explosions, roars, and blood-curdling screams echoed between heaven and earth. The glow of towering flames from some unknown location painted half the sky red. Everyone knew something major was happening tonight. Through the neighborhood group chat on her phone, Shen Yue knew that the villa district had already descended into chaos. A few security guards who had inherited game abilities had broken directly into the villas of residents who didn’t play games...

Her brother wasn’t in a good state. Faced with this situation, Shen Yue’s first thought was to ride her father’s giant, winged Golden Celestial Horse and escape with her family.

”We can’t leave!” Seeing Father Shen about to act, Shen Fei shouted quickly. ”It’s even more chaotic outside!”

Right now, during this chaotic period right after game abilities were inherited, running around blindly was even more dangerous. People who had just inherited their abilities were agitated, panicked, and excited... Under the sway of such emotions, the probability of things getting out of control was at its highest.

Am I really going to have to rely on my family to carry me?

As the time reached twenty seconds past midnight, Shen Fei, having stopped his family from leaving, felt his hope gradually fading. According to his original plan, after the abilities were inherited tonight, he was supposed to directly guard the family villa and wait for the chaos of this first wave of ability inheritance to end...

But he never expected that he wouldn’t inherit his game abilities at all!

This is so screwed up!

”Huh!!!”

Suddenly, Shen Fei’s eyes lit up. Something flickered and appeared before his eyes.

It’s here!!!

Late, but it arrived!

He saw it!!

A translucent, glowing panel suddenly began to form in front of him.

It’s lagging?

Shen Fei stared in shock as the panel appeared in a stuttering, laggy manner.

Why the hell is it pixelated?

A few seconds later, seeing that many parts of the translucent panel before him were pixelated, Shen Fei’s eyes widened.

This is different from my past life! It wasn’t like this back then!

CLICK!

CLICK!

CLICK!

As the panel fully materialized, text began to scroll out from the bottom. Just like the panel’s strange appearance, Shen Fei saw that the scrolling text was also stuttering.

[Inherited Game Confirmed: Tower Defense of Ten Thousand Realms]

[Inherited Account Confirmed: Skyrocketing!]

[Recharge Amount Detected: Greater Than 1,000,000!]

[Full Inheritance of Game Abilities!]

[Initial Inheritance Item: Accessories—Defense Tower]

[Calibrating Combat Power based on game background.... Calibrating.... Calibrating.... Calibrating....]

[Calibrating....]

[Calibrating....]

[Calibrating....]

.

The text scrolling on the panel let Shen Fei know why the inheritance of his game abilities was so slow. It was stuck! The inheritance of his game abilities was stuck on [Calibrating Ability Balance]....

Now, the clearly malfunctioning, pixelated panel had finally appeared. But the lag persisted. His Combat Power was still undergoing balance calibration...

What the... Did I spend too much? Is my account so strong that the system can’t calibrate it?

His game abilities had finally begun to transfer, and Shen Fei’s heart, which had been lodged in his throat, finally settled back down. At least his account hadn’t been deleted, nor had it been flagged as an internal staff account. But this lagging state immediately made him tense up again.

In his past life, he had never encountered this situation. Now, looking at the endlessly looping ”Calibrating....”, Shen Fei guessed it was because he had spent too much money and his account was too powerful...

When game abilities were inherited, there was a calibration process, and this calibration was based on three main factors. One was the game’s genre and its Combat Power ceiling; another was the player’s in-game strength; and the last was the amount of Krypton Gold spent on the game.

Regarding the first point, the game Shen Fei chose, Tower Defense of Ten Thousand Realms, contained all sorts of Elements, and later had various new features added, so its Combat Power ceiling was inherently very high.

As for the second point, his in-game strength, that went without saying. He had used Krypton Gold to max out every single aspect of the game. In Tower Defense of Ten Thousand Realms, his power could not be increased any further. His Combat Power was a full five hundred million, more than fifty times that of the second-place player, Taiyi Zhenren...

And as for the final point, the calibration based on the amount of Krypton Gold spent, he was far ahead of the entire Xia Country, and even the entire planet. In the history of Earth, no one had spent more money on a game than him.

In Tower Defense of Ten Thousand Realms alone, the 1.95 billion he had spent through Krypton Gold was several hundred times the amount the second-place player, Taiyi Zhenren, had spent.

If the calibration was based on the median data, Shen Fei’s Combat Power would still be sky-high even after adjustment. The gap between him and everyone else was simply too massive. If the total Combat Power of all players was 100, he alone accounted for 97.

It was impossible to calibrate! His Combat Power had thrown the game ability inheritance’s calibration system into disarray. The calibration system could at most correct for a 50% variance between games, and he had clearly exceeded that limit. His heaven-defying Combat Power even surpassed the limits of Version 4.0.

If Shen Fei’s Combat Power were compressed to the ceiling of Version 4.0 for him to inherit his abilities, then, proportionally, the abilities other players could inherit would be drastically reduced. It would even be worse than not inheriting any abilities at all.

But if the data inheritance was calibrated according to the median, then Shen Fei’s Combat Power, if fully inherited, would be a bit too high... It would be a data point that simply shouldn’t exist.

A certain mysterious rule, which had specifically chosen to bring a new opportunity to Earth by inheriting abilities from video games, had never expected such a situation to occur. The mysterious rule was stuck, all because of Shen Fei...
