Realized Game: I Hoarded 10 Billion Defense Towers

Chapter 22: Chapter 22: Golden Orchid Leaderboard 10x Reward Settlement

[DING!]

[Golden Orchid Ranking data compilation complete!]

[Congratulations! You have placed first on the Golden Orchid List, far ahead of second place!]

[Your rewards have been increased tenfold! You have obtained a special home—a Floating Island!]

Just as he was examining Sky Control’s attribute panel, a series of system notifications suddenly popped up.

The rewards for another ranking had been settled. This week, Shen Fei had claimed the first-place rewards for 90% of the rankings, giving most of what he received directly to Sky Control.

Shen Fei hadn’t expected another ranking reward to appear. What’s more, this was for a ranking that had been going on for over three weeks—one where he had to send and receive countless Golden Orchids every day.

A Floating Island?

Holy crap!

What an amazing item!

Shen Fei grew excited. This reward was for a ranking that had lasted a full three weeks, making it the one with the longest settlement period yet.

His skills had more or less been finalized after a week of grinding dungeons. He had also just checked the Attributes of his butler, Sky Control, which were progressing steadily and powerfully. His next goal was his ”Home.”

So far, he had poured Krypton Gold into projects like Defense Towers, Enhancements, Tower Master equipment, Tower-Carrying Beasts, Tower Master skills, and his butler. The only things left were ”Home” and ”Gemstones.”

Originally, Shen Fei’s plan was to test Sky Control’s abilities and then directly use Krypton Gold to buy a top-quality, castle-type ”Home” from the store. He would then merge his Home’s Secret Realm with the castle and use more Krypton Gold to enhance it to the highest possible quality.

He never expected that the Golden Orchid Value Ranking, which he had participated in for three weeks, would reward him with a special ”Home”—a Floating Island. He wouldn’t need to buy one from the store at all.

Although he hadn’t claimed the reward yet and didn’t know the Floating Island’s Attributes, the words ”island” and ”floating” alone were enough to send his imagination soaring. A Floating Island had to be a top-tier item!

The reward for this Golden Orchid Value Ranking really was increased tenfold!

Shen Fei remarked to himself as he glanced at the prize awarded to the second-place player on the ranking, Taiyi Zhenren.

For the past three weeks, he and Taiyi Zhenren had been exchanging 10,000 Golden Orchids daily, which was why Taiyi Zhenren was in second place.

Shen Fei remembered that three weeks ago, when the Golden Orchid Value Ranking first started, it was mentioned that the rewards would be increased tenfold. That had prompted him to open the rankings at the time, where he saw Taiyi Zhenren. Because of Taiyi Zhenren, he had become even more determined in his decision to pour money into Tower Defense of Ten Thousand Realms.

Not bad!

After glancing at Taiyi Zhenren’s reward, an Adaptable Gemstone, Shen Fei clicked to claim his own reward.

WHOOSH.

With that action, a small icon appeared in his inventory. Its top half was green, and its bottom was the color of a cone-shaped mass of earth and rock.

.

[Name: Floating Island]

[Quality: Orange (Max)]

[Area: 1,000m x 1,000m]

[Structure: Earth and Rock]

[Floating: Max Altitude 1,000m, Max Flying Speed 50m/s]

[Flight Cost: 100,000 Gold Coins/hour]

[Defense Adaptability: Comes with 612 Defense Tower slots and Wall Tower foundations.]

.

He clicked to view the item, and the Attributes of the newly rewarded Floating Island were displayed before him. The new Floating Island had an area of one square kilometer. Its flight altitude was also one kilometer, and it came with its own Defense Tower slots and Wall Tower foundations.

The only thing that made Shen Fei sigh was this thing’s ability to suck up Gold Coins. Flying for just one hour required 100,000 Gold Coins! As expected, this item was specifically designed for Krypton Gold players. If you wanted to use it, you had to pay up.

”But I love it!”

In the game, a Floating Island used as a main city was mostly for looks. At most, on a newly opened world map, other players’ tiny Tower Master avatars walked on foot, while those who owned a Floating Island could pilot it, giving them a bit more swagger.

But Shen Fei understood that it would be a completely different story once he brought the Floating Island into reality. With a Floating Island, not only would his personal safety be incomparably enhanced, but more importantly, he could pilot it and descend directly on top of certain opportunities.

Previously, thanks to his Tower Master equipment, he had gained the ability to carry 100 Defense Towers with him. Shen Fei had already felt that he was powerful enough.

He hadn’t expected that the appearance of a Floating Island would allow him to carry an entire city—including its Defense Towers, city walls, and even various auxiliary buildings—with him at all times.

This... this... this was just too amazing!

Looking at the Floating Island’s Attributes, Shen Fei understood that his next step was to land it on his high platform and move the Defense Towers and other items from the platform onto the island.

SWISH!

Without a second thought, Shen Fei opened the store and started buying.

Since he had been rewarded with a top-quality Floating Island, he would use all the money he had set aside for a castle to enhance it instead.

He quickly purchased items like Area Expansion Scrolls and City Enhancement Stones from the store.

WHOOSH.

WHOOSH.

WHOOSH.

After purchasing all sorts of items, he began frantically applying them to the Floating Island.

Soon, under the effect of various items worth 50 million Gold Coins, the Floating Island’s previous Attributes underwent a complete transformation:

.

[Name: Floating Island (+10)]

[Quality: Orange (Max)]

[Area: 10,000m x 10,000m]

[Structure: Earth, Rock, and Metal]

[Floating: Max Altitude 5,000m, Max Flying Speed 200m/s]

[Shield: 1,000,000/1,000,000 (auto-recovers 100 points per second)]

[Synchronization: Can synchronize and coordinate Defense Towers with conflicting Attributes, reducing their attribute decay to zero.]

[Flight Cost: 500,000 Gold Coins/hour]

[Shield Cost: 10,000 Gold Coins/minute]

[Defense Adaptability: Comes with 6,120 Defense Tower slots and Wall Tower foundations.]

.

The Attributes of the enhanced and upgraded Floating Island appeared before Shen Fei.

Its area had increased a hundredfold, from a one-kilometer square to a ten-kilometer square. After the Enhancement, the Floating Island’s Flying Speed and altitude had also increased by nearly ten times. It also gained two new abilities: ”Shield” and ”Synchronization.”

The Shield was a semi-transparent, spherical barrier that enveloped the Floating Island, capable of defending against sneak attacks and blocking monster charges.

As for the Synchronization ability, it allowed Defense Towers built on the Floating City to have no attribute decay from conflicting Attributes. Both abilities were powerful and important!

The only thing that didn’t surprise Shen Fei was that, with the upgrade, the Floating City’s flight cost had also increased fivefold to 500,000 Gold Coins per hour. Furthermore, activating the new Shield also consumed a large amount of money.

Looking at the Floating City’s enormous upkeep, Shen Fei mused to himself.

Looks like I’ll have to stock up on more Gold Coins before I find a new energy source!

WHOOSH.

As this thought crossed his mind, he clicked, intending to deploy the newly upgraded Floating City.
