Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

Klaus took a few steps forward, walked into the room, reached into his pocket, and pulled out an envelope, ”Dear sir, please forgive my rash behavior today. I am Klaus. I have certain connections in New York. If you need any assistance, please feel free to reach out to me.”

”Of course, with your strength, you naturally don’t need someone like me, but there are certain things I can get done through my connections.”

Lin Mo pondered for a moment.

Klaus belonged to the underground world, and seeing that I had injured two of his men, he realized I knew martial arts and hence, wanted to get acquainted with me.

Lin Mo’s guess was not far from the truth. Klaus’s two men were both expert fighters, but after getting injured and then returning, they couldn’t muster any strength whatsoever. Even a thorough hospital examination revealed no issues.

That’s when Klaus realized that his men had encountered a true master.

Lin Mo opened the envelope and glanced at it. Inside was a cash check worth a million.

”Sir, with this check, you can withdraw a million in cash from any bank without needing to show any identification. This is my sincere gesture,” Klaus said, slightly bowing.

Lin Mo accepted the check and said, ”I know this matter isn’t related to you, and since you were willing to come personally to apologize, I forgive you.”

”Thank you, esteemed Huaxia gentleman, but about my two men...”

Klaus said nervously.

These two were his right-hand men. If they lost their abilities, it would be equivalent to him losing his two arms.

Lin Mo wanted to conceal his strength, so he called the two men over, arched his back like a great bow, suddenly gathering all his strength into his fists, and punched one, then another punch to the other’s chest.

”Thump, thump!”

The two tall African-American men immediately staggered back a few steps, only steadying themselves at the door.

Klaus’s complexion subtly changed as he said in surprise, ”Sir, you...”

Lin Mo said calmly, ”Let them test their strength.”

Upon hearing Lin Mo’s words, the two African-American young men clenched their fists and swung a few punches in the air, producing sharp whistling sounds that sliced through the air, their faces lighting up with excitement, ”Boss, our strength has returned.”

”Thank you, esteemed sir.” Klaus let out a sigh of relief.

Li Zheng had sent people to teach Lin Mo a lesson, but Lin Mo didn’t care. For someone like that, he could crush him with just a finger.

”I have some questions for you.”

Lin Mo suddenly said.

”Honorable sir, you can ask me anything, and I believe I can certainly assist you,” Klaus said humbly.

Lin Mo couldn’t help but smile.

These foreign hooligans, pretending to be like gentlemen from high society, probably influenced by certain movies.

”I want to know about the Paul Family in New York and where they are located.”

Lin Mo said calmly.

At the mention of the Paul Family, Klaus’s expression drastically changed, and even his body momentarily stiffened. Clearly, the Paul Family’s reputation was quite terrifying; otherwise, Klaus wouldn’t have reacted this way.

”Sir, do you know someone from the Paul Family?” Klaus asked cautiously, adopting a posture more humble than his previous deference.

Lin Mo shook his head, ”I’m not acquainted with anyone from the Paul Family, I’m just curious and want to know more.”

Klaus’s expression shifted, then he gestured with his eyes.

The two African-American young men immediately closed the door, standing guard to prevent eavesdropping. ”Sir, discussing the Paul Family in New York is a very taboo subject.” Klaus lowered his voice and said, ”The Paul Family is the top family in New York, ranking among the top four families in the entire country. Their power and wealth are extraordinarily formidable, with family assets almost equaling the GDP of some small countries.”

Lin Mo also showed a look of astonishment.

A family’s assets equaling the GDP of some small countries, even if only small countries, is still an astounding sign of wealth.

”Moreover, the Paul Family has its own guard team, and these guards are powerful individuals. I’ve personally witnessed a Paul Family strongman holding Thunder in his hand, turning an enemy into dust,” Klaus said, his face already becoming quite solemn.

”Really, it seems the Paul Family is quite powerful.”

Lin Mo narrowed his eyes slightly in contemplation.

”By the way, do you know where the Paul Family can be found?”

Lin Mo asked.

In reality, Lin Mo could use Divine Thought to scour the entire New York, but it would take some time. However, Lin Mo worried that there might be a superpower within the Paul Family who could detect his Divine Thought probing. If they hid the ring, it would take even more time.

”Sir, what do you mean?”

”I’m just curious. Do you really think someone like me could be a threat to the Paul Family?” Lin Mo grinned.

Klaus hesitated and nodded, ”With my stature, I can’t possibly know anyone from the Paul Family, but I do know that the Paul Family has a club at Baile Square. They hold underground fighting matches there every week, and the Paul Family’s young master often attends.”

”Oh, I’d like to check it out, Mr. Klaus. Can you help with that?”

Lin Mo smiled.

”Yes, I can arrange for tickets.” Klaus nodded, ”There’s a match happening tomorrow night. I’ll take you there then.”

”Alright, you can call me Mr. Lin from now on,” Lin Mo said, taking out the check, ”This is your reward.”

Seeing Lin Mo hand back the check he had just given, Klaus hesitated before accepting it.

However, he was a bit surprised inside. This check was worth a million US Dollars, and Lin Mo seemed uninterested in it, suggesting that this Mr. Lin’s background was also extraordinary.

Klaus did not decline, accepted the check, and then left the hotel.

The next day.

Around seven or eight in the evening.

Outside a university library.

”Yanzi, why don’t you come with us? What’s the point of staying here and reading all by yourself?” Luo Xue said, pulling Guo Yan.

Guo Yan frowned and said, ”I haven’t finished the assignment the teacher gave yet, and I want to finish it early so I can go find Brother Xiao Mo to hang out.”

”Brother Xiao Mo?”

Luo Xue’s expression changed slightly. Last night, when she returned to the dormitory, Guo Yan didn’t mention anything about Lin Mo being beaten up. Could it be that the people Li Zheng sent hadn’t gone to deal with Lin Mo yet?

”You can just invite Brother Xiao Mo to come out with us. Come with me. My boyfriend went through a lot to get the tickets.” Luo Xue said, shaking Guo Yan’s arm. Yielding to her friend’s plea, Guo Yan sighed and said, ”Alright, I’ll call Brother Xiao Mo and tell him where we are.”

”Brother Xiao Mo, do you want to go out tonight?” Guo Yan called Lin Mo’s phone and asked.

Guo Yan looked at Luo Xue and asked, ”By the way, where are we going tonight?”
