Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

”Is the diamond too small? Do you have anything bigger?” Lin Mo ignored Ren Chengping and continued to ask.

At this moment, even the counter service staff’s face changed a bit. Working in a shopping mall, they naturally developed the skill of judging people. Lin Mo was dressed very ordinarily, a sign that he wasn’t wealthy. If he hadn’t seen Wu Yuexin, who was with him, clad in designer brands, perhaps the staff wouldn’t even bother to bring out the necklace.

Now hearing Lin Mo say the diamond was too small, the staff was also a bit impatient. It’s fine for such people to just look around, but if something got broken, she couldn’t afford to compensate.

”Brother, you’re really putting on an act.” Ren Zhengping stood with his arms akimbo, looking coldly at Lin Mo.

The staff hesitated for a moment and then took out a larger necklace from the counter and said, ”Sir, this necklace is priced at one million US dollars.”

”It’s not good enough. Do you have anything better?” Lin Mo looked and shook his head.

”Keep acting, brother, go on.” Ren Zhengping laughed with open mouth, almost falling to the ground.

Such young men like to save face in front of their girlfriends, especially in front of other men. In the end, they still can’t afford it? Just for show.

”Do you still want something better?” The staff’s face was already somewhat cold. Not satisfied with this, not satisfied with that, in the end, it’s all a waste of time and no purchase.

”Yes.” Lin Mo nodded and continued.

The staff hesitated a bit and said, ”Sir, we have more expensive jewelry, but they are all in the safe, and we need to consult our manager to take them out for you to see.”

”Tsk tsk, this young brother, can’t you hear what they meant, they’re telling you that you can’t afford it, so stop wasting everyone’s time.” Ren Zhengping said with disdain, shaking his head.

Lin Mo replied indifferently, ”Then ask your manager to come over.”

The staff looked at Lin Mo, although he was dressed plainly, she noticed his calm demeanor, without any awkwardness, even showing a bit of a big shot’s style. If he happened to be some wealthy person and she offended him, she would lose her job.

Thinking of this, the staff said, ”Alright, I’ll go get Manager Bellar now, please wait for a moment.”

”Brother, keep up your act.” Ren Zhengping stood aside watching the show, completely unbelieving that Lin Mo could afford such expensive items.

Wu Yuexin also watched Lin Mo. She knew Lin Mo’s status was not ordinary. He should be able to afford things worth a few million. Quickly, a foreign woman with short blonde hair, wearing an OL black professional outfit, approached; she looked very capable, with a professional smile on her face. After asking the staff beside her a few questions, she came before Lin Mo and said, ”Hello sir, I’m the manager here, my name is Bellar, may I know your name?”

”Lin Mo.”

”May I know what type of jewelry and accessories Mr. Lin would like to purchase?” Bellar did not underestimate Lin Mo; her sharp eyes faintly sensed an aura of a superior from Lin Mo.

”Show me all your best jewelry here.” Lin Mo said calmly.

”Wow, brother, you’ve got some guts. If you mess around like this, be careful you might not walk out of the mall.” Ren Zhengping laughed, clutching his stomach.

Even the foreign lady standing beside Ren Zhengping couldn’t help but giggle, her eyes full of disdain.

”Manager, this guy doesn’t seem like he can afford it. If you bring out such expensive items and he doesn’t buy them, isn’t that a waste of time?” Ren Zhengping couldn’t help but say.

Bellar smiled and said, ”Every customer who comes to our mall deserves respect, and whether to buy or not is entirely the customer’s right.”

Indeed, this is the site of an international brand, and the service attitude and quality are much better than some shops.

Ren Zhengping’s face turned a bit red, coldly sneering, ”Let’s see, at the end of the day, when he can’t afford it, all your efforts will be in vain.”

Bellar gave some instructions, and soon a few heavily armed special police officers stood around, after all, getting out such valuable items, caution was necessary.

”Little beauty, your boyfriend is making such a big fuss, and if he doesn’t buy anything, you’ll lose face, why stay with such a boyfriend?” Ren Zhengping shook his head, tsk tsk’d.

”It’s none of your business, who said he can’t afford it, humph.” Wu Yuexin hummed coldly, displaying a bit of a little girl’s coquettish charm.

Though she said this, Wu Yuexin’s cheeks also turned a bit red, considering some of the jewelry here was incredibly expensive, even her family couldn’t afford it.

Quickly, Bellar brought out a few pieces of jewelry and placed them on the glass table, a few bodyguards standing around to prevent anyone from approaching.

This scene quickly attracted shoppers in the mall, who flocked over to watch, including some Chinese tourists.

”With so many armed bodyguards, what’s happening?” Someone asked in confusion.

”Yeah, such a big scene?”

”Wow, is that the ’Red Spider Lily’ necklace once worn by Elizabeth?”

Ren Zhengping, seeing more onlookers, raised his voice and said, ”That big shot wants to buy jewelry, and even asked the manager to bring out the most expensive diamond necklaces here. In the end, still can’t afford it, wasting time.”

A number of Chinese heard Ren Zhengping’s words, and their eyes fell on Lin Mo, even some foreigners whispered, roughly understanding the situation.

But seeing the ordinary-looking, plainly dressed Lin Mo, their faces also showed expressions of watching a joke.

It’s estimated this guy is doing this to save face, deliberately acting like this, in the end, won’t it end awkwardly?

Wu Yuexin, being stared at by everyone, also felt her face burning hot.

Especially seeing the items Bellar took out were all precious diamond necklaces and jewelry, their prices could be said to be exorbitant. Even though she believed Lin Mo had some status and identity, was it possible for him to buy such expensive things?

”These pieces of jewelry were specially transported from the headquarters, meant for the Las Vegas auction. Since the auction hasn’t started, they are temporarily placed in our mall. I wonder which one Mr. Lin prefers?” Bellar said.

Lin Mo had no interest in these mundane items, just something girls liked, he could gift them to Ye Ziqin and Shijian as ’toys’.

”They’re all quite nice, how much?” Lin Mo said indifferently.

”Brother, you’re a Beijing Film Academy graduate, your acting skills are great.” Ren Zhengping standing beside said, by now Lin Mo still remained composed, even he was impressed.

”This sapphire necklace once possessed by Elizabeth II, the Heart of the Ocean, our company’s estimated price is five billion.” Bellar introduced. With a word, everyone present inhaled sharply.

Even Wu Yuexin’s face paled crazily. Although her family was wealthy, their total assets were merely one billion US dollars, and a necklace was worth half of her family’s assets.

”Lin Mo, why don’t we buy the one just now?” Wu Yuexin said awkwardly, looking at Lin Mo.
