Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

”He’s just full of hot air, just wait until we get on the cruise ship to see what happens to him,” Be said disdainfully in a low voice.

She still remembered the slap on the beach, and finally, when the speedboat reached the cruise ship, everyone climbed up the ladder onto the luxurious cruise liner.

The lights on the cruise ship were dazzling—men in suits and shoes, impeccable in their demeanor.

Women in long gowns and jewelry fluttered like elegant butterflies, chatting in groups.

Lin Mo strode towards the top deck of the cruise ship, and as he reached the open deck, he saw a woman in a rose-colored gown with curly dyed hair chatting with another man.

”Du Juan, congratulations, now that your Du Family is forming an alliance with Li Mingjun’s family, who in Xiazhou could possibly compete with you?” The man held a glass of brandy, his lips curving into an elegant smile.

The seductive woman merely smiled slightly, ”Mr. Huang, you’re really too kind. Xiazhou still has the He Family and Wei Family; it’s hardly our turn to reign supreme.”

Mr. Huang was indeed a son from the mayor’s family of Xiazhou. He shook his head and said, ”Du Juan, you’re still playing coy with me. Everyone knows that Li Mingjun’s family is a top-notch family in Han Country, not far behind those top families in Seoul. Li Mingjun’s family is a branch of the Sanhe Consortium, and their corporations are nearly wealthy enough to compete with countries. Just having a slight connection with them would make it difficult not to rise to prominence.”

After hearing this, Du Juan didn’t rebut but instead smiled and said, ”Li Mingjun’s family is Li Mingjun’s family, and Du Family is Du Family; they cannot be spoken about as if they are the same.”

While they were talking, they saw a group of people coming up the stairs.

Du Juan frowned slightly, ”Du Feiyu, where have you all been?”

”Big sister.”

”Big sister.”

”Big sister.”

Du Feiyu, Du Jie, Du Xueqi, Be, and others respectfully greeted her, but Du Ruoxi merely nodded without speaking.

Du Juan, daughter of Ma Yan and Du Li, and the elder sister of Du Chengwen, had a somewhat notorious reputation in Xiazhou. She was well-known in high society and linked ambiguously with many big consortiums and sons of political figures, which Du Ruoxi had always disdained.

Du Juan nodded, her gaze suddenly falling on Lin Mo, who was dressed in crumpled casual attire, conspicuously standing out in the crowd: ”Who is he?”

Be’s eyes darted about before stepping forward, her tone neither cold nor warm, ”He’s Lin Shanshan’s cousin, Lin Mo. Big sister, you must have heard of him.”

Upon hearing this, Du Juan’s narrow eyes gleamed with a hint of hatred, ”So you’re Lin Mo?”

Lin Mo glanced at her indifferently, utterly uninterested.

”You still have the guts to show up here, you’re the one who hurt my brother Du Chengwen. Don’t think that just because you have that little tramp Lin Shanshan backing you up, you can do whatever you want,” Du Juan glared coldly at Lin Mo and said coldly:

”Kneel down and apologize to me today, and I might just spare you for the moment.”

Standing to the side, Mr. Huang didn’t know the details of the situation, but he didn’t mind standing by to watch a good show.

”Shanshan is not someone you can insult,” Lin Mo’s gaze was piercing, and he slapped Du Juan across the face with the back of his hand.

Despite using less than one percent of his strength, the force was still unbearable for ordinary people. Du Juan was directly slapped away, flew over seven or eight meters, and crashed into the deck’s railing. Her entire face was caved in, and two long cuts were left on her face, from which blood continuously flowed.

Mr. Huang’s brandy fell onto the deck.

Standing behind Lin Mo, Du Feiyu, Du Jie, Be, Du Xueqi, Du Ruoxi, and others were dumbfounded, not expecting Lin Mo to be so irritable that he would strike someone just because of a disagreement.

Moreover, that slap sent the person flying, completely mangling her face, and everyone felt a chill run through them.

Be subconsciously touched her own face, thinking that had Lin Mo used that strength when he hit her, she would probably have been disfigured by now. With this thought, Be immediately covered her mouth, a wave of fear washing over her.

Many people on the deck turned their eyes towards Lin Mo.

”Who is this person who dares to hit someone at the Du Family’s banquet?”

”I haven’t seen this person before, and he even dares to hit the Du Family’s eldest daughter.”

”It seems there’s no one like him among the gentry of Fu Province. Today is an important moment for the Du Family and Li Mingjun’s family engagement, yet he causes trouble.”

Many whispered among themselves, guessing Lin Mo’s identity.

”Lin... Lin Mo, you even dare to hit your older sister, you...” Du Feiyu’s eyes widened as he stammered out.

Lin Mo swept him with a cold glance, ”So what? Whoever dares to offend my little sister, today I will not hold back.”

Seeing Lin Mo’s cold and merciless gaze, Du Feiyu and others quickly shut their mouths, fearing a slap from him.

”Who dares to make trouble here and disrespect our Du Family?” Just then, a voice as loud as a bell rang out.

A robed elder came from a room, followed by several solemn Martial Artist Bodyguards, and it was Mr. Huang whom Lin Mo had met before.

Mr. Huang came out, squinting slightly. When he saw Du Juan lying on the ground, already passed out, his expression drastically changed, ”Quickly, help the Miss up. Who hit her?”

Anger flashed in Mr. Huang’s eyes.

Two Martial Artist Bodyguards hurriedly helped Du Juan, her face covered in blood, almost unrecognizable.

Du Jie stood behind Lin Mo, quietly raising his finger to point at Lin Mo. A slight relief appeared on the faces of Du Feiyu, Be, and Du Jie. Mr. Huang, an expert in Martial Arts and Du Li’s personal bodyguard, had once single-handedly subdued three assassins planned by opponents against Du Li, showcasing his prowess.

Du Xueqi and Du Ruoxi, seeing Mr. Huang step forward, had a trace of worry on their pretty faces.

Mr. Huang was not an easy person to deal with, and indeed, within the family, his status was second only to Family Head Du Li.

”Is it you?” Mr. Huang naturally recognized Lin Mo, his brow slightly furrowing, ”You dare to come back and even hurt the eldest daughter.”

”Last time at the Hong City Temple Fair, we met and I knew you were a Martial Artist. But you must understand, there are always stronger people in the world. If not for Mr. Du’s order, I would have already taught you a lesson. Don’t think just because your Martial Arts are decent you can do whatever you want.”

Saying so, Mr. Huang stretched out his dry palms and then slowly clenched them into fists, his aura suddenly changing as if from a frail old man he transformed into a high expert, his robe fluttering without any wind.
