Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

After some thought, Lin Mo realized that his younger sister Lin Shanshan had been away for quite some time.

”Why not go see how my little sister is doing before making any plans,” Lin Mo decided. After discussing it with Xia Mengdie, he left Shu Province.

He called Xia Mengdie on the way, who was kind-hearted and understanding. Knowing that Lin Mo had his own matters to attend to, she didn’t fuss too much, but simply reminded him to take good care of himself.

Before leaving Shu Province, Lin Mo also paid a visit to the Jiang Family and talked with the elderly patriarch for a while, leaving behind some elixirs for strengthening the body. However, Jiang Yunshan seemed to have already gone to the military academy and wasn’t at home. Lin Mo didn’t have much to do with Jiang Yunshan, after all, there seemed to be another meaning in her kindness toward him.

In truth, Lin Mo hadn’t deliberately kept in touch with many girls because a person’s strength being too overpowering and excellence often attracts too many girls. In such situations, if one is not cold enough, it can lead to letting a lot of girls down.

Afterward, having made arrangements for things in Hong City, Lin Mo didn’t bring along Yingzi, leaving her at the villa to engage in cultivation, and flew alone to Fu Province.

On the airplane, Lin Mo looked out at the white clouds and said to himself, ”I wonder how my little sister is getting on. If anyone from the Du Family dares to bully her, I will certainly make them pay.”

There weren’t many people in first class. A woman wearing large sunglasses sat to the left of Lin Mo, next to an elderly man in traditional Tang attire who was resting with his eyes closed.

Suddenly, the elderly man’s face turned pale, and then he clutched his chest, his breathing seeming to become rapid.

The woman beside him quickly took off her sunglasses, supported the old man, and exclaimed, ”Grandpa, what’s wrong with you?”

After removing her sunglasses, her pretty face was revealed—a face as delicate as an eggshell, skin as white as that of a newborn baby, eyes big and bright, attracting astonished looks from many men.

”Ma’am, how can I help you?” asked a flight attendant who approached them.

”My grandfather’s condition has flared up, we didn’t bring his medicine. Can you ask if there’s a doctor on board?” the woman said anxiously.

The flight attendant hurried to the service area, then announced over the speaker, ”There is an unwell passenger on board now; is there a doctor who can offer assistance?”

”I’m a doctor, let me have a look,” said a well-dressed young man with neatly slicked hair as he walked over from the back.

When the woman saw him, she showed surprise, ”Wei Ya.”

”He Wuxue, it’s you. We haven’t seen each other for a long time, have we?” The young man’s face lit up with excitement.

Furrowing her brows, He Wuxue urged him, ”I don’t have time to catch up now, please have a look at my grandpa quickly.”

The others also paid attention to the unfolding situation, surprised that the two knew each other.

Nodding, Wei Ya quickly helped the elderly man to lie down, and other flight attendants began to assist. After making the old man comfortable, Wei Ya’s face became serious as he observed, ”The old man is experiencing cardiovascular failure, and he also has heart disease. Why did you let him fly?”

”I was traveling with my grandfather to see a famous doctor; I didn’t expect this would happen on our way back,” He Wuxue’s beautiful face was filled with worry.

Wei Ya smiled and said, ”Lucky for you that you’ve met me. I’ve just returned from American Washington Medical College, where I specialized in treating heart failure and vascular problems. However, I don’t have much equipment on me right now, so I can only stabilize him until we get off the plane and head to a hospital.”

Saying this, Wei Ya quickly asked the flight attendant to fetch his luggage, then took out a syringe and a vial of medication, ”I’ll inject some Dilaudid into your grandfather to alleviate his pain.”

”This is only a temporary solution; it might lead to a worsening of his condition,” a sudden voice interjected.

Everyone turned their heads to see a young man at the window seat speaking calmly.

He Wuxue glanced at the speaker, a lad appearing to be around seventeen or eighteen, with delicate features, deep eyes as profound as obsidian, long black hair, dressed in a casual white outfit, appearing very handsome. The coldness on his face was singularly unique.

Wei Ya’s expression subtly shifted. As a distinguished alumnus of American Washington Medical College, who had published many papers at international conferences before he was thirty, he was taken aback.

”Dilaudid will not solve the root problem, only temporarily easing the pain. But what else can we use on the plane without other equipment?” Wei Ya asked with a cold expression.

Hearing his words, others nodded in agreement.

Heart disease is a worldwide medical challenge that’s difficult to treat without proper medical devices. This seemed like the only option.

”Let me try,” the young man stood and said.

”Are you a doctor?” He Wuxue looked at Lin Mo skeptically.

Lin Mo appeared to be in his teens, seemingly still attending university—if it was a medical university, it would still be much too young.

”I’m not a doctor,” Lin Mo said calmly.

He Wuxue nodded and responded, ”Thank you for your kindness, but that won’t be necessary.”

Not being a medical student, and too young at that, who could easily trust him?

”Alright then,” Lin Mo shrugged helplessly, settling back into his seat, continuing to look out the window, paying no further attention to the situation beside him. He wasn’t some overly empathetic character, itching to treat someone’s illness.

”Hmph, trying to show off but too green,” Wei Ya sneered dismissively as he glanced at Lin Mo.

Any man would be moved by a woman as beautiful as He Wuxue. Wei Ya had seen plenty of rash youths like Lin Mo, all eager to make an impression on the goddess before them.

”Wei Ya, please hurry,” He Wuxue, no longer looking at Lin Mo, saw the painful expression on her grandfather’s face and spoke with urgency.

”Okay, don’t panic,” Wei Ya said as he filled the syringe with Dilaudid and proceeded to find the old man’s veins to administer the injection.

The old man’s expression of pain indeed lessened a lot, seeming not as tortured anymore.

He Wuxue let out a sigh of relief, raised her hand to gently touch her chest, and exhaled a wisp of refreshing breath from her alluring mouth, which caught Wei Ya’s gaze, unwaveringly fixated on her.

Passengers and flight attendants around them also took a deep breath, since falling ill on an airplane was a serious matter. If not handled well, it could very well lead to someone’s death.

”Wuxue, the old man’s illness is only temporarily under control, the moment we land, we must get him to the hospital immediately,” Wei Ya said after packing up his things.

He Wuxue nodded. However, just at that moment, the lying old man suddenly started to convulse, white foam oozing from the corners of his mouth, his body slightly spasming, seemingly in even greater pain.

”Grandpa, grandpa, what’s wrong with you?” He Wuxue’s pretty face turned pale with shock, a look of utter dismay on her face.

Wei Ya was also stunned. Shouldn’t the patient have calmed down after receiving Dilaudid?

What could be causing this?

Even the flight attendant panicked; they were half an hour away from the nearest airport. Could the old man hold on for another half an hour?

”Wei Ya, why is this happening to my grandpa?” He Wuxue stared at Wei Ya with wide eyes.

A look of anxiousness spread across Wei Ya’s face as he felt helpless. This was the patriarch of the He Family; if something truly happened, their Wei Family couldn’t protect him.

”I... I don’t know either,” Wei Ya said, his face showing panic, his eyes darting around. Suddenly, he noticed Lin Mo resting with his eyes closed and said, ”Why not ask him? Just ask him.”

He Wuxue turned her gaze back to Lin Mo, furrowed her brows, and bit her lip.

To be honest, she didn’t believe Lin Mo had any real skills, but now that her grandpa was in such a state and probably couldn’t last even ten minutes, they had no choice but to clutch at straws.

”Sir, could you please take a look at my grandpa?” He Wuxue asked Lin Mo, her lips parting slightly.

Lin Mo remained with his eyes closed, as if he hadn’t heard her.

He Wuxue’s brows furrowed with urgency on her pretty face. She was a supreme beauty and had absolute confidence in her appearance, yet Lin Mo didn’t even glance at her.

”I’ll give you whatever amount of money you want, just save my grandpa,” He Wuxue implored again with her lips pursed.

Lin Mo still remained unmoved.

Seeing Lin Mo’s silence, the surrounding passengers began to sympathize with the beautiful woman.

”How can this guy be like this? Someone is begging him for help, and he just sits there.”

”Yeah, if it were me and I knew how to heal, I would’ve helped already.”

”I think he doesn’t have any real skills, that’s why he remains silent.”

”Right, how could someone so young have any real skills?”

At that moment, Lin Mo opened his eyes, glanced around at everyone, and sneered, ”Just now, I offered to help but she refused. Now she’s asking for my help again. I’m not a saint, why should I help her?”

He Wuxue bit her thin lips, a hint of pleading in her eyes. Now, she pinned all her hopes on Lin Mo.

”If you can save my grandpa, I will agree to any demands you have,” He Wuxue said, looking at Lin Mo.

This included the possibility of offering herself to Lin Mo. Other men looking at the pitiful little beauty begging Lin Mo felt both jealousy and envy, but most of all, they wished they could devour Lin Mo.

A cold look flickered in Wei Ya’s eyes, ”Young man, if you really have the talent, please help. It’s not exactly honorable to stand by and watch someone die. He’s the patriarch of the He Family. If you save him, you’ll reap benefits beyond your imagination.”

Many on the plane were from Fu Province, and they all gasped upon hearing Wei Ya’s words.

”The patriarch of the He Family? Is it that He Family from Fu Province?”

”No wonder, I heard that the He Family has a great beauty, naturally gorgeous. So this is the young lady of the He Family.”

The crowd showed their surprise.

Lin Mo also slightly opened his eyes; he had sent Qian Bing to gather information about Fu Province beforehand, and he knew the He Family was a prominent clan in Fu Province, ranked alongside the Du and Wei as one of the Three Great Families of the province.

”If you want me to take action, call me ’Master’,” Lin Mo said, wickedly amused.

”You...” Upon hearing Lin Mo’s words, Wei Ya almost choked with rage.

He Wuxue was the goddess of his heart, the high school belle, crown champion of the 2015 Fu Province tourism beauty pageant, the pure woman of many a man’s dreams, and now this guy was making He Wuxue call him master.

The others fell silent, not to mention how beautiful He Wuxue was; her background ranked top in Fu Province. Who would dare to make her suffer such humiliation?

After hearing Lin Mo’s words, He Wuxue’s pretty face first filled with anger, but then looking at her grandpa, her eyes reddened and finally, with reluctance and humiliation, she muttered with her lips trembling:

”Mas... Master.”

Only then did Lin Mo slowly stand up, walked over to the old man, took his pulse, and infused a hint of spiritual energy into him. Spiritual energy could nourish all things, but to directly remedy the old man’s root illness would take too much time, and he would require further recuperation later. He didn’t have that time to spare, as they were all just acquaintances.

That Lin Mo was willing to lend a hand was a significant act of mercy.

As expected, as soon as Lin Mo took hold of the old man’s pulse, pretending to knead a few acupoints, the pain on the old man’s face eased, his body no longer spasming.

”After getting off the plane, he should still be taken to the hospital,” Lin Mo stated indifferently. Upon seeing her grandpa was finally fine, He Wuxue cried with joy and heaved a great sigh of relief.

(The excitement continues tomorrow.)
