Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

”By the way, Qingzi, I have some great news for you—your favorite actress is filming on the island,” Zhong Junxian said with a mysterious smile.

”Really?”

Han Qingzi’s eyes widened, ”Hurry and take me to see her, and it’d be awesome if I could get her autograph.”

”Who are you guys talking about?” He Wuxue asked, slightly furrowing her brow as she sipped her milk tea.

Han Qingzi smiled and said, ”Xiao Wu, didn’t I tell you about her last time? The new actress, Zhong Qiaomeng, who shot ’Sunny Days without Autumn.’”

”So, it’s her. She is indeed pretty. I didn’t expect our Qingzi to be a fan,” He Wuxue covered her mouth and laughed.

A hint of pride appeared on Zhong Junxian’s face, ”Our family’s company happens to be working with Royal Entertainment, so we are assisting with the filming. But Zhong Qiaomeng will only be staying on the island for two days; she will leave tomorrow and is currently resting at the Zhen Shui Hotel.”

”Zhong Qiaomeng is also on the island?” Suddenly, a jarring voice rang out.

Zhong Junxian turned his head and saw a cool-looking young man walking towards them, causing him to frown slightly.

”This is Xiao Wu’s friend, Lin Mo,” Han Qingzi introduced.

Zhong Junxian sized up Lin Mo, noticing his average looks and plain clothes, and was utterly puzzled. Eldest Miss He usually mingled with the sons of prestigious families or officials’ sons, so it was baffling that she would be friends with an ordinary person.

Han Qingzi, arm in arm with her boyfriend, whispered, ”He knows medical skills; Xiao Wu said he saved her grandfather on the plane.”

”So, he’s a medical student,” Zhong Junxian’s eyes flickered with a hint of disdain.

Lin Mo walked over and glanced at him, ”So, you just mentioned Zhong Qiaomeng is on the island?”

”You follow celebrities too?” Han Qingzi asked curiously, looking at Lin Mo.

From the start, she felt Lin Mo was like an antique, lacking the exuberance of young people, yet unexpectedly, this guy seemed to be a fan too.

”I don’t follow celebrities, but she’s my friend. I haven’t seen her in a while,” Lin Mo said indifferently.

It had been almost half a year since they last met in Imperial City.

Han Qingzi had just taken a sip of her milk tea when she heard Lin Mo’s words and choked, causing the milk tea to flow out of her nose. She quickly grabbed a few tissues to wipe it off.

Zhong Junxian paused for a moment, then laughed and said, ”This friend really has a sense of humor!”

No one would believe that Lin Mo knew Zhong Qiaomeng.

After all, Zhong Qiaomeng was currently the hot new star in the entertainment industry, having recently become an overnight sensation as the female lead in the latest TV drama.

And now, she was a top star pushed by Royal Entertainment. How could she know someone insignificant like Lin Mo?

Even He Wuxue blushed slightly and found it somewhat awkward to look at Lin Mo.

The guy looked reliable but unexpectedly also liked to boast.

”My dad is inside discussing some matters; I’ll take you guys to see her and see if we can get an autograph photo,” Zhong Junxian said.

As for Lin Mo’s claim, he didn’t take it to heart at all. It was nothing new for the young people to show off and boast in front of beautiful women.

Zhong Junxian drove a deep blue Maserati President, and the three of them left the bubble tea shop. In less than ten minutes, they arrived at Fengqing Villa.

The villa was located near the inland sea and had been reserved for filming purposes by the crew. Zhong Junxian parked the car outside and led the three inside.

The Waterfront Villa was built with wood, steel frames, and glass, featuring a futuristic, leisure style with smooth, sculptural curves. A row of coconut trees planted at the entrance swayed in the sea breeze.

Several black security guards with earpieces and dressed in black stood solemnly at the entrance.

”Probably only top-tier celebrities get this kind of treatment,” Han Qingzi whispered, covering her mouth.

”Without connection, you can’t get in. Zhong Qiaomeng is now a heavily promoted top star by Royal Entertainment,” Zhong Junxian said with a hint of pride.

Without him, they probably wouldn’t have been able to enter.

Having said that, Zhong Junxian looked at Lin Mo, saw his calm expression, and scoffed, ”Mr. Lin, if you know Miss Zhong Qiaomeng, now would be a good time to call her, and we could all go in.”

He Wuxue’s expression changed slightly. Before Lin Mo could speak, she said, ”Forget it, there’s nothing special about celebrities anyway. Besides, they need their rest.”

Seeing Lin Mo’s silence, Han Qingzi’s eyes showed a trace of disappointment, thinking this guy was just all talk and didn’t really know Zhong Qiaomeng. She decided she must remind Xiao Wu to keep her distance from such people.

Zhong Junxian’s face showed a trace of disdain, then he walked to the entrance where two guards stopped him.

”Mr. Zhong, I’m sorry, Miss Zhong is not receiving visitors,” one guard said fluently.

Just as Zhong Junxian was about to speak, he suddenly saw a fat, middle-aged man with a potbelly and thinning, slick-backed hair come out and called, ”Dad.”

The middle-aged man came out, frowning, ”Why are you here?”

This middle-aged man was none other than Zhong Junxian’s father, Zhong Bai, the general manager of Gusha Culture Company.

”I brought Qingzi and Eldest Miss He to hang out. Qingzi wanted to ask Miss Zhong for an autographed photo, I wonder if Miss Zhong has the time?”

”Making trouble, Miss Zhong doesn’t have time to give you an autographed photo!” Zhong Bai scolded sternly.

The Royal Entertainment was owned by the Mo Family of Central State and was one of the top entertainment companies. The Mo Family’s status was not just high but also untouchable, and Zhong Bai, after knowing whom Zhong Qiaomeng was to the Mo Family, was even more surprised. Even the chairman of Royal Entertainment and the Mo Family treated Zhong Qiaomeng like they would the Empress Dowager Cixi, completely overturning Zhong Bai’s understanding of the entertainment industry’s hierarchy. Perhaps there were even more powerful figures behind her—she was not someone a small cultural company executive like him could afford to offend.

Zhong Junxian had a bitter expression, not expecting his father to scold him in front of his girlfriend, especially after he had confidently brought Qingzi here for an autograph.

”If it’s not possible, then never mind, let’s go,” He Wuxue said.

Han Qingzi also showed a disappointed expression.

Lin Mo frowned and then suddenly said, ”Since Qiao Meng is here, she will definitely see me; let’s go in and check.”

He Wuxue looked perturbed.

Han Qingzi frowned.

Zhong Junxian was speechless; at this moment, this guy was still showing off, knowing full well they couldn’t enter, yet insisting he knew her. He was determined that as long as they didn’t meet, no one could expose his lies.

(Wonderful continuation tomorrow. Everyone, get some rest early, good night. The weather is cold; dress warmly.)
