Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 634: Chapter 633: He bullies your wife, are you blind?

Owen Lewis’s mouth twitched as he watched the childish display between the old man and the young woman. He was caught in the middle, in a difficult position.

”Grandpa.”

”Who’s your grandpa?”

Annie’s grandpa glared at Owen Lewis unhappily and threw the ring at him. ”Get lost.”

Owen Lewis choked and looked at Annie, feeling aggrieved. This is her grandfather; what could he do?

”How are you not his grandpa? We are already married.” Annie Davidson stepped to Owen Lewis’s side, glaring angrily at her grandpa.

”Fine! Fine! Now that you’ve grown your wings, I can’t discipline you anymore!” Annie’s grandpa stomped in anger, rushed to Annie’s side, and put her in a chokehold. Annie’s martial arts skills were indeed good, but in front of her grandpa, she was like a toddler who knew nothing.

Owen Lewis watched in shock, not expecting Annie’s grandpa to be so skilled in martial arts.

”Ah! Let go of me, Owen, punch him, punch him, he’s bullying your wife, are you blind?!” Annie was screaming in anger while being dragged by her grandpa toward the taxi. Owen Lewis, standing aside, was dumbstruck.

What on earth is happening? He certainly wouldn’t dare to retaliate; that was Annie’s grandpa. Even if he had a thousand guts, he wouldn’t dare to make a move.

So, all he could do was watch as his wife was taken away by her grandpa at the front door of the Lovers’ Restaurant. The corner of his mouth twitched, and his phone rang.

”Boss?”

”The company has prepared a lunch box for you.”

Maxwell Peary sat in his Office Room, his mood surprisingly lightened for once. It turns out breaking up others feels so good.

Owen Lewis was left speechless. Boss, isn’t what you’re doing rather unethical?

”Boss, I...”

”You have twenty minutes; otherwise, I can’t guarantee I won’t interfere with your next date.”

”Yes, sir!”

People have to bow their heads when under someone else’s roof. Twenty minutes later, Owen Lewis arrived at MC Group and was respectfully seated inside the Special Assistant Office.

Maxwell Peary didn’t call Nia Mitchell again, which led to the young woman skipping work that afternoon.

Strolling side by side through the pottery exhibition, Nia Mitchell and Edbert Mitchell continuously examined the artworks around them.

”Actually, I don’t understand these.”

Nia Mitchell felt a bit embarrassed. Edbert Mitchell had mentioned that he wanted to give a female friend a piece of pottery and had asked for her help in choosing one. She couldn’t refuse, so she had to come over.

The artworks here carried price tags in the tens of millions; they were breathtakingly expensive. But then again, she mused, anything Edbert, the big boss, gave as a gift wouldn’t be cheap.

”You don’t need to understand, just see which one looks nice, because the person I’m giving this to also doesn’t understand these.”

The corners of Nia’s mouth twitched. Why give pottery to someone who doesn’t understand it?

However, didn’t his words imply something else? Since his friend doesn’t understand pottery, he needs to find someone else who also doesn’t understand it to help him choose... Does this mean he himself understands it very well?It felt like she was subtly being looked down upon. What should she do?

”I think that one is quite good.”

Nia Mitchell abruptly stopped, having arrived at an inconspicuous spot. In the display case lay a White Swan. Rendered with just a few simple strokes, its pure white feathers gleamed under the lights, making it difficult for anyone to look away.

However, the tips of the swan’s feathers were black, as if it were an imperfection. On closer inspection, it wasn’t just the feather tips; the swan’s beak, forehead, and body also bore faint patches of light gray.

This White Swan seemed to be a vessel carrying a complex history, radiating a sadness and solemnity from within that made one want to reach out and touch it, yet simultaneously hesitate.

”You have good taste.”
