Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 627: Chapter 626: Hazel Quartz’s Audacity

Nia Mitchell paused, glanced at Diana Hill, and then observed the rest of the Secretary Department.

She really wanted to tell them outright that she was already married to Maxwell Peary. But... Maxwell Peary had been coming to the company to work these past few days, yet he hadn’t told anyone in the company about her identity. Could it be that... he didn’t want to make it public? At this thought, Nia bit her lip.

”It’s just as you see it,” Nia replied.

A response like that, equivalent to no answer at all, was perfect.

Nia gave a small laugh, picked up her bag, and left the Secretary Department. Standing outside the Secretary Department’s grand gate, she thought for a long while before finally deciding to find EdbertNia Mitchell directly.

Maxwell was too busy, and if she remembered correctly, he was currently meeting with a client in his office. She couldn’t disturb him at this time.

Upon leaving the MC Group, she took a taxi directly to Star Media.

「Star Media, CEO Office.」

Nia arrived and checked in at the front desk. Then, Hazel Quartz approached, clad in a professional business suit. ”So, it’s you,” she said. ”I was wondering who it was, and why Mr. EdbertNia Mitchell would ask me to come down personally to receive you.”

Hazel’s smile was professional and flawless. However, despite its perfection, it was devoid of warmth.

”I really appreciate it,” Nia replied, also offering a slight smile as she headed directly towards the CEO Office.

Hazel’s smile faltered, her lips twitched, and her eyes filled with disdain.

”Miss Mitchell, although the CEO Office is over there, the CEO is not in the office right now.”

She approached, a triumphant expression on her face.

”Miss Mitchell, although you were once very familiar with Star Media, that was in the past. Now, you are a guest, so please allow me to accompany you.”

And with that, she led the way in the opposite direction.

Nia furrowed her brow. What Hazel said was true, but it was incredibly vexing.

Having no other choice, Nia could only follow Hazel deeper into the building.

After winding their way through the building, they finally arrived at a secluded area unfamiliar to Nia.

”Mr. EdbertNia Mitchell is inside waiting for you.”

With that, Hazel gestured for Nia to enter.

Nia nodded, then entered.

She missed the enormous grin spreading across Hazel’s face at that moment.

Nia never imagined that at Star Media, Hazel would play such bold and unfair games.

Looking at the various animals around her, the corner of Nia’s lip twitched.

So, Hazel had led her to a zoo?

However, these animals weren’t confined to individual enclosures. They were all roaming freely.

It was as if she had entered a wildlife park, a place deep in the mountains. But she’d forgotten that these animals could also be aggressive.

After managing to dodge an annoying monkey, she encountered a snake.

Frozen in fear, she stood unmoving.

”Don’t come any closer!”

Nia tightly gripped the stick she had snatched from the monkey earlier.

The snake gradually reared the upper half of its body, looking as if it was about to strike.

How could Star Media have such things?

「...」

Meanwhile, in the CEO Office, Hazel rushed in, folder in hand.

”Mr. EdbertNia Mitchell, did you call for me?”

”I asked you to fetch Nia Mitchell, where is she?”

EdbertNia Mitchell was growing impatient. He couldn’t believe Nia still hadn’t arrived after so long.

”She hasn’t arrived?” Hazel replied. ”I went to the restroom earlier, and she was gone when I came out. I figured that since she knows Star Media better than I do, she must have come up to find you already.”
