Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 615: Chapter 614: Young Master Peary Tears Down the Kitchen

Back in the Main Bedroom, she lay motionless on the bed, gazing around the empty, spacious room. She didn’t know why, but she was feeling a bit melodramatic today.

When Maxwell Peary got busy, he lost track of time. It was one in the morning by the time he drove home. After parking the car, he rubbed his temples and changed his shoes before heading straight into the Bedroom.

Even though it had only been one night since they last saw each other, it felt like centuries had passed.

He gently opened the door, smiling as he slowly approached Nia Mitchell. He squatted down, leveling himself with her.

Feeling the warmth of his gaze, Nia furrowed her delicate brows and slowly opened her eyes.

”Hmm...”

She blinked, looking at Maxwell Peary, who was crouched in front of her.

”Uncle?”

Her voice was slightly raspy and filled with sleepy bewilderment. Seeing him squatting there surprised her, and she quickly sat up.

”Just lie down.”

Seeing her sit up made him a bit anxious, and he instantly reached out to turn on the light.

”Did Uncle just get back?”

Nia glanced at the clock. Indeed, it was one in the morning.

”Mhm.”

He responded, a smile spreading across his face as he heard her soft, sweet voice.

”Do you want to eat?”

Even though Nia had been a bit upset earlier, she now felt sorry for him.

”Is Mrs. Peary going to cook for me?”

There was a playful glint in Maxwell’s eyes. She was clearly still half-asleep.

Nia was startled for a moment, then blinked.

”I can’t cook.”

She responded a bit awkwardly, her face flushing slightly.

Following a moment of silence, Maxwell considered. She slept all afternoon and went to bed early tonight, so she shouldn’t be lacking sleep.

”Mrs. Peary, would you like to join Mr. Peary for a bowl of Tomato and Egg Noodles downstairs?”

Upon hearing this, a big smile blossomed on Nia’s face.

”Sure.”

「Dining Hall」

Nia cheerfully slipped on her slippers, holding two pairs of chopsticks. Then, she trotted into the kitchen.

”Uncle, could you hurry up a bit?”

Her soft, sweet voice, clear and bright, carried a lively impatience that couldn’t help but make one smile.

”Just a bit longer.”

Maxwell frowned. He had already taken off his suit jacket, his tie tossed aside somewhere. He stood in the kitchen in his white shirt, looking unexpectedly casual. This Maxwell was very different from the one at the Company.

”Uncle, you’re really too slow. At this rate, your wife will starve to death.”

CRASH! BANG! SHAKE! CLATTER!

The kitchen erupted into chaos. All sorts of noises echoed out as pots, pans, and utensils scattered across the floor.

Nia followed the sounds and walked in. Her eyes widened in surprise at the utter mess.

”Uncle, are you trying to dismantle the kitchen?”

With noodles strewn all over the floor, Nia didn’t even know where to step to get closer to Maxwell. She could only stand at the kitchen entrance, watching from afar.

”...”

Maxwell didn’t say a word. An uncomfortable silence followed.

The only sound in the kitchen was their breathing. Nia hesitated for a moment before speaking up again.

”Uncle?”

What on earth happened?

Did he burn himself?

”Uncle, are you okay?”

Maxwell was usually quite proficient at making noodles. Logically, something like this shouldn’t have occurred.

”I’m fine.”

After some effort, Maxwell finally found his voice.

”What... did you say just now?”

He asked calmly, but for some reason, she could sense a trace of excitement in his tone.
