Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 623: Chapter 622: Alan Morgan Awake?!

Yancy Hastings, somehow, found himself in the line of fire. Speaking of Yancy Hastings, one had to mention the awkward situation he was currently in.

After being kicked out of Fiona Sutton’s Dormitory, he received a command from his superiors. Dropping his playful smile, he stood outside Fiona Sutton’s door and knocked lightly.

”Fiona, I have an urgent task to handle.”

He explained, hoping for a response from Fiona Sutton, but received none.

”I can’t disclose the details of this mission. I’ll return as soon as possible, and I’ll look for you then.”

Yancy Hastings paused, then fumbled for his phone and sent Fiona Sutton a text message: ”With every mission, we prepare for the worst. Fiona, if I make it back alive, can we get engaged? I’m not pushing you to marry me. At the very least, grant us a chance to be together.”

Upon reading the message, Fiona Sutton was taken aback and immediately rushed to open the door. However, the man was already gone.

Almost as if possessed, she rushed back and stood on the Balcony. Just in time, she saw Yancy Hastings walking towards his Military Vehicle. His striking Camouflage Suit seemed even more radiant at that moment, captivating her gaze.

She didn’t know what she was feeling right then, nor did she know if it was because she had always been fond of soldiers. Seeing Yancy Hastings’s retreating figure, she found him incredibly charming, as if a single, final, soul-stealing smile was all it would take for her to throw caution to the wind and run after him. But, after all, it was just a fleeting fancy.

Yancy Hastings didn’t look back. He simply got into his car and sped away.

A mission requiring Yancy Hastings’s personal involvement was undoubtedly dangerous. Although Fiona Sutton didn’t know where in the real world they were called to fight, she had seen enough on television to understand the perils involved.

Yancy Hastings left just like that, as if vanishing from Fiona Sutton’s life. No one would suddenly appear before her anymore, arrogantly declaring he would take responsibility for her.

「Capital Town Hospital—」

Shirley Grant had been at the Hospital for an entire day. Gerry Peary had been taken out to dinner by Mrs. Morgan, but Shirley Grant wasn’t hungry at all. She just sat there, holding Alan Morgan’s hand.

”Look, I’m holding your hand again.”

Her smile was pale. These past few days, caring for Gerry Peary had drained most of her energy.

”You hate me, don’t you? So, get better soon and fiercely pull your hand away from mine.”

She sat there bitterly. As she finished speaking these words, she suddenly felt his large hand move.

Shirley Grant!

”Alan Morgan? Alan Morgan?”

Excited, Shirley Grant suddenly stood up and raised her voice. The man’s eyelids fluttered, but they didn’t open.

Seeing this, she immediately ran out of the Ward. ”Doctor! Doctor! He’s awake! Alan Morgan is awake!”

At that moment, Shirley Grant seemed possessed, shouting at the top of her lungs, terrified the Doctor wouldn’t hear. She had even forgotten that there was a call bell in the Intensive Care Unit; a simple press would bring a Doctor rushing over immediately.

Several Doctors hurried towards the Intensive Care Unit, leaving Shirley Grant behind. By the time she caught up, the Ward door was already closed, and the window, through which she might have seen inside, had its curtains drawn.

Her view completely blocked, Shirley Grant couldn’t see anything. In that instant, all the strength seemed to drain from her body. She suddenly collapsed to the floor.
