Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 401: Chapter 400: I was retaliated by Yancy Hastings!

Maxwell Peary was taken aback for a moment. After some thought, It should... be fine, right?

”Let’s head back first. Yancy Hastings is there, after all.”

Even if he couldn’t marry Evelyn Peary, Yancy Hastings wouldn’t allow her and her mother to be mistreated there.

It has to be said, that CEO Yancy Hastings is a very trustworthy lad.

Compared to the harmonious atmosphere inside their car, Fiona Sutton was utterly bewildered.

With the corner of her mouth twitching, she hung up the call and closed the recruitment information on her computer.

Dammit!!!

”Yancy Hastings, I’m going to get you for this!”

How many companies had it been now?

She had been sitting there making calls all day!

Initially, those companies said they had either filled their positions or that she didn’t meet the requirements.

But the last few were outrageous. They plainly told her that Public Security had informed them that due to some ’organizational issues,’ she couldn’t be hired by any institution.

Organizational issues?

What the hell kind of reason is that?

Recalling Yancy Hastings writing down his phone number last night and what he’d said, Fiona became even more defiant.

She refused to believe he had that much power!

Now, she would either apply to very small companies or send her resume to massive, renowned ones.

Yancy Hastings, you just wait and see!

Growing angrier as she thought about it, she directly dialed Nia Mitchell’s number.

”Hello?”

The CEO was driving, and Nia, sitting in the passenger seat, answered the call.

”Yancy Hastings, that guy, he’s downright despicable!”

Fiona started yelling the moment she spoke, startling Nia.

”What happened to him?”

Strange, why was Fiona bringing up Yancy Hastings?

In her memory, hadn’t Yancy Hastings and Fiona just met that one time at Lotus Residence?

Why was Fiona still... going on about him?

”He retaliated against me!”

What a despicable man, always doing despicable things!

”Retaliated against you?”

Nia was shocked. No way! Just because of that little bit of friction at Lotus Residence, Yancy Hastings retaliated against her?

Yancy Hastings, in his military uniform, always looked so righteous; it was hard to believe he was this kind of person.

”So, how are you doing now? How did he retaliate against you?”

Nia became anxious and immediately sat up straight.

Maxwell Peary, who was driving, furrowed his brows upon hearing Nia’s words.

However, since he didn’t know who she was speaking to, he didn’t say anything.

”I’m okay, I guess, but I can’t find a job now. He got the Police Bureau to send out some notice—I don’t know what it said about me, but it was definitely nothing good. It’s gotten to the point where no corporation dares to hire me. I’m starting to wonder if I’m some kind of wanted criminal!”

Fiona fumed, kicking the trash can across the room; it landed with a clatter. Her face was dark with frustration.

Looks like she’d have to clean up the mess herself later.

Damn it, nothing was going right.

”Um... so... what are you planning to do now?”

Fiona sighed, slumping in her seat, instantly dejected.

”What else can I do? Keep sending out resumes, I guess.”

Nia thought for a moment, then hesitated.

”How about I call Star Media for you and see if they have any openings?”

Among the big bosses she knew, besides Maxwell Peary, there was only Edbert Mitchell.

Edbert Mitchell was a good friend of hers and could easily arrange a minor position for her.

Maxwell Peary, who was driving, suddenly narrowed his eyes, a dangerous glint in them.

Damn Little Rabina Mitchell! At a time like this, the first person she thought of was Edbert Mitchell. She’d rather ask someone else than him!

And hadn’t he told her not to contact that Edbert Mitchell?
