Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 415: Chapter 414: The Goddess’s Style Changes Too Quickly

This was absolutely intolerable.

”You’ve never mentioned this to me before.”

Maxwell Peary’s face darkened. She had kept this so secret; he hadn’t even known.

”Uhm...” A twitch tugged at the corner of Silvia Waterborne’s mouth. Hadn’t she also... Oh well, it wasn’t a big deal anyway. Not worth mentioning at all.

”It’s not an important matter.”

Silvia Waterborne casually waved her hand, then seated herself on the sofa without a care.

That expression clearly showed she was playing coy.

”How is this not important?”

Although Maxwell Peary said this, he continued to read the newspaper in his hands.

”It really isn’t. Earlier... anyway, that Samuel Peary, he’s such a scoundrel!”

Whenever she thought of this person, she was immediately filled with fury.

After coming downstairs, Nia Mitchell saw the two people sitting on the sofa, not saying a word.

The entire living room was filled with a grim, tense atmosphere, making it difficult to breathe.

She hesitated for a moment before finally coming down.

”What’s wrong?”

Nia Mitchell blinked her large, clear eyes, feeling puzzled. She had only just changed her clothes and combed her hair.

Why had the mood downstairs changed so drastically? It was like the entire atmosphere had changed.

”Nothing.”

Maxwell Peary put down his newspaper and looked up at Nia Mitchell, who was approaching.

”Are you hungry?”

”No.”

Nia Mitchell answered sweetly. Just then, the butler brought in a glass of milk, evidently something the CEO had ordered earlier.

”I don’t like fresh milk.”

Nia Mitchell pouted. She preferred fermented yogurt; it was tastier.

”Be good. I’ll get angry if you don’t finish it.”

Nia Mitchell shrank back. Alright, just the thought of him angry made her...

And so, a certain Little Rabina, disappointingly compliant, reached out with two small hands to take the milk, then sat to one side, sipping it timidly now and then.

”Are you still hoping she’ll grow taller?” Silvia Waterborne shot Maxwell Peary a dark look. TSK TSK. Forcing someone to drink something they disliked. This really seemed like something only Maxwell Peary would do. It was so damn frustrating! Controlling his own mother was one thing, but to control his wife so tightly as well...

Upon hearing the word ’taller,’ Nia Mitchell immediately looked up at the CEO.

She didn’t know Maxwell Peary’s exact height, but he was definitely over 180 cm. She wasn’t particularly short herself, at around 162 or 163 cm, but standing next to the CEO... Anyone standing beside him would probably seem short, wouldn’t they?

”It’s you who needs to grow taller.”

Maxwell Peary retorted irritably, glancing at Silvia Waterborne, who was seated on the sofa. No one could possibly know how perfect his Little Rabina was in his heart.

Silvia Waterborne took a deep breath. She silently told herself not to get angry; it wasn’t worth getting worked up over him.

”I know you didn’t intend for me to stay for breakfast. Anyway, just remember what I told you this morning. I’m heading back to the film set.”

After speaking, Silvia Waterborne stood up.

”Uhm, Mom, why don’t you stay for breakfast? It’ll be ready soon.”

Nia Mitchell hadn’t expected Silvia Waterborne to be so direct about breakfast. Seeing the CEO sitting there, his face impassive, Nia Mitchell felt her own cheeks burn with embarrassment.

She quickly placed the glass of milk from her hand onto the coffee table and stood up.

”Haha, I was just teasing Maxwell! I didn’t think you’d actually take it seriously, haha!”

Nia Mitchell: ...!!! She was utterly dumbfounded, her face instantly flushing crimson as she stood there awkwardly, unsure what to do.
