Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 423: Chapter 422 Big Canteen Turmoil

Nia Mitchell was taken aback, a bit slow to react.

Did I just get berated for coming to the Staff Canteen to grab a meal?

Why?

I don’t even know this woman. What’s she going on about?

Looking at the stranger eating over there, Nia Mitchell furrowed her brow.

”Watch your mouth. What are you talking about?”

”HUMPH!”

”What am I talking about? Everyone in the Company knows about your scandalous deeds!” The stranger sneered, her lips curling in mockery. The Company Forum was abuzz with stories about Nia Mitchell, tales so scandalous they had already overshadowed Shirley Grant’s attempts to seduce Alan Morgan. The word was that Nia, leveraging her connection with Alan, had audaciously seduced Mr. Pei. Not only that, she had even managed to drive Phoebe Walker out of MC! Who didn’t know about these things? Everyone was beginning to realize that this Nia Mitchell was the truly scheming one. In short, the report on the Forum had everyone nodding in agreement.

”What scandalous deeds have I committed?”

Nia Mitchell was rather dumbfounded. It’s not my fault; I rarely pay attention to the Forum and things like that.

”You know perfectly well what you’ve done, you slut!”

After saying that, the woman actually threw her half-eaten meal, plate and all, directly at Nia Mitchell.

”AH!”

A woman’s scream echoed throughout the Staff Canteen, drawing the gazes of many people around them.

Nia Mitchell also stood frozen on the spot, stunned. Just moments before, when the woman had thrown the food directly at her, Nia had instinctively raised her hands to block it.

As a result, she had inadvertently deflected it, and all the food spilled onto the woman beside her.

Nia Mitchell looked at the food-covered woman, her face etched with embarrassment.

Unfortunately, she recognized this person: Sophia Moore.

Sophia Moore was livid. She had been in a foul mood all day to begin with; when she was preparing to go out for a meal, she discovered her wallet had gone missing at some point.

So, with a look of disgust, she had no choice but to come to the Staff Canteen to eat. From afar, she spotted Nia Mitchell arguing with someone.

She had wanted to come closer for a look, gloating at Nia’s misfortune. If she could add fuel to the fire, she wouldn’t have minded at all.

But infuriatingly, she had just arrived and didn’t even know what was going on when she was suddenly doused with food.

”Nia Mitchell!”

Enraged, Sophia Moore shoved Nia Mitchell hard, her eyes fixed in devastation on her expensive clothes, now splattered with soup.

Nia Mitchell stumbled back several steps, staggering. Just as she was about to regain her balance, her foot suddenly caught on something, and she fell heavily to the ground.

HISS—

Her palms and bottom hit the floor first, and her knees painfully struck a canteen bench. A sharp, intense pain shot through her, and for a moment, she couldn’t even get up.

”Stop playing dead! Get up! Look what you’ve done! You’ve ruined my clothes! Can you even afford to pay for this?” Sophia Moore shrieked, completely losing her composure.

Nia Mitchell sat on the floor, wincing in pain. It took her a long while before she finally managed to struggle to her feet. Her bottom throbbed, her knees ached, and her palms stung.

Every part of her body hurt. She frowned at Sophia Moore.

”What’s wrong with you? I wasn’t the one who threw the food, so why did you push me?”

Nia Mitchell brushed off her hands. The Staff Canteen floor was slippery and dirty. Although her clothes hadn’t been hit by the food, they were soiled from her fall.

”I clearly saw it was you who threw it! You are to apologize to me—apologize in front of everyone—and then you’re going to compensate me. I know you’re poor. Anyway, I’ve only worn this outfit twice since I bought it, so I’ll give you a discount. Just pay me 30,000 USD, and that’ll be enough.”
