Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 416: Chapter 415: Young Master Peary actually listens to a woman!

”Are you that idle?”

Frowning in displeasure, Maxwell Peary spotted Nia Mitchell’s flushed face and then turned to look at Silvia Waterborne, who was preparing to leave.

Silvia squinted, looking dangerously at Maxwell.

”What did you say?”

Which son despises his mother like this? She began to suspect, maybe her son was switched at birth, and he wasn’t her child after all. The old ’leopard cat for the crown prince’ switch!? It had to be said, after acting in so many dramas, Silvia’s imagination tended to run wild, practically unstoppable.

Nia Mitchell stood there, not knowing what to say. Should Uncle Peary really be acting like this?

”Uncle...”

Nia extended a finger to poke at the CEO’s waist.

”You should go upstairs and change.”

Seeing his expression worsen, she spoke softly, her voice so quiet it might not have been heard if one wasn’t listening closely.

But Maxwell and Silvia both heard it.

Silvia frowned. She hadn’t expected Nia to dare speak up, let alone poke him with her finger, when Maxwell was angry.

Seeing this, Silvia worried Maxwell might direct his anger towards Nia, so she quickly prepared to intervene on Nia’s behalf.

But, before she could get a word out, Maxwell had already turned and headed upstairs.

Huh...? Silvia was stunned. !!! Could someone tell her what on earth her son was suddenly going upstairs for? He wasn’t *actually* going to change his clothes, was he?!

Silvia was astonished, looking with a shocked expression at Nia, who was still standing there blushing.

”Mom, please sit down. Uncle’s temper is just like that; please don’t be angry with him.”

Nia didn’t know what else to say and could only keep smiling.

Silvia, still reeling from the shock of Maxwell obediently heading upstairs, stood there dumbfounded.

Holy hell! This was the first time she had ever seen her son behave so... so obediently. Could this be the legendary ’everyone meets their match’? No wonder, no wonder at all. No wonder last night when she asked Evelyn Peary why he had sought *her* out, even though his older brother was already there. Evelyn had said *he* was looking for Nia Mitchell, to have Nia notify Maxwell, fearing Maxwell wouldn’t show up. She had been puzzled at the time, wondering where Evelyn had gotten such an idea. Could it be that Maxwell would actually listen to a woman?! Unexpectedly, it was true! Maxwell actually... No, no, she needed to calm down.

”I was just kidding earlier about having breakfast; I still have to rush off to the Film Set.”

Silvia chuckled, intending to leave immediately.

But Nia’s expression made her hesitate; she couldn’t bear to just turn and leave.

”Mom, Uncle really does have a bad temper. Please try to bear with him.”

Silvia had the urge to facepalm. Of course, she understood her son’s temper perfectly! Why would she care about his actions? She was completely used to them, okay? But... she couldn’t bring herself to say it.

”Yes, I know. I’m not bothered by it. I really have to rush off to the...”

”Mom, breakfast is almost ready. Why don’t you stay and eat?”

Hearing Silvia say she wasn’t bothered, Nia’s face instantly lit up with a joyful smile as she looked happily at Silvia.

Silvia froze, swallowing the words ”Film Set” that were on the tip of her tongue.

”Alright, let’s eat together.”

Silvia nodded, turned back, and sat down on the sofa again. She felt somewhat exasperated with herself. Why, after seeing Nia’s expression, had she inexplicably agreed to sit here waiting for breakfast on such a busy morning? Oh my god, something must have definitely gone wrong somewhere.
