Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2044: Chapter 53: Breakthrough!

In this city, Giants at the Ingress Stage are already scarce, especially considering their strength, because being Giants makes it extremely difficult to improve. Their power is entirely different from others, rendering the Initial Level beings almost no threat in comparison.

It can be seen how terrifying and astonishing a being at the Ingress Stage is in this city of the Giants.

As for even stronger beings, concerning this brother’s Master, this brother would never think that way, because a Giant at a higher level is truly at the top tier; there aren’t even two residing in this city, as they frequently travel amongst the major cities controlled by the Giants, serving as the true trump card and backbone of the entire Giant league. Such beings wouldn’t take a disciple as gifted as Pierz.

”Brother, you are about to rise to prominence. I just came over to celebrate. Regarding this house, no matter how long you want to use it, it’s fine. Just pay whatever rent you see fit.”

”Alright, I definitely will do that. By the way, I heard something about the Night Patrol Team having grudges, and there might be competitions with other Night Patrol Teams? I don’t have anyone else in this city to inquire about it; brother, please inform me.”

Pierz trusted this brother immensely because, during his impoverished times, this brother disregarded his family’s opposition and lent his house without mentioning any rent.

”Yes, as far as I know, there indeed are grudges between Night Patrol Teams. Your current Night Patrol Team often battles with other teams. The losing side has to reduce its benefits, while the winning side’s benefits are increased. Brother, speaking of which, I must remind you that your Night Patrol Team has lost several times. If you lose again, your treatment will fall to almost the same level as the average person, and many team members, seeing no future, may resign.”

”I see. Looks like I need to prepare well.”

This was the first time Pierz heard of this matter and nodded his understanding.

He also understood why the former Captain was so excited upon knowing Pierz would take over the patrol team.

It turns out if Pierz did not take over, their Night Patrol Team would not win anyway, leading to disbandment, and this area might be taken over by other teams.

Hence, it is better to give the Captain’s position to Pierz, for there might still be future prospects.

”Looks like I need to improve my power well to intimidate the surrounding Night Patrol Teams in the future...”

Pierz is quite confident in his strength, especially since his Master, before entering seclusion, taught him many ways to enhance his power in the future. If his Master truly doesn’t appear again, even if he explores on his own, although it might be a little slower, it certainly won’t lag much behind his former pace.

A thought named ’aspiration for authority’ is slowly sprouting in his heart.

No one knows how a creature’s mindset will change upon gaining power. Even a seemingly straightforward being might transform beyond self-recognition upon reaching a certain level.

Pierz, a simple forest farmer, has changed his mindset upon gaining strength.

Of course, this is already beyond Jia Yan’s understanding or interest.

He even feels that his disciple achieving a better status is in fact beneficial to him.

At least Pierz has cultivated his Yin-Yang Dao, meaning that the further he cultivates in the future, the more he falls under Jia Yan’s ’control’.

Pop, pop, pop.

Within a massive Cocoon, the giant Mosquito silhouette slowly transforms.

Unexpectedly, this metamorphosis brings no significant pain.

Perhaps due to the improvement in the Yin-Yang Dao, or maybe because this metamorphic energy primarily comes from the Giant’s blood, Jia Yan’s transformation feels stable, offering an experience entirely different from past transformations.

This experience is hard to describe, yet Jia Yan genuinely perceives it.

”Even my consciousness, apart from the initial disappearance, actually remains constant throughout.”

Within the giant Cocoon, Jia Yan’s consciousness continually reflects.

The external parts haven’t yet completed their transformation, but he can already perceive everything around him.

”My Brainwave Power has surprisingly grown so much stronger this time; however... seems there’s another place that stands out uniquely.”

He faintly ponders.

That distinction is precisely what he perceives: another strange force within him.

That’s the other wondrous force within his body, which has also grown considerably stronger.

This force, during his transformation, has absorbed substantial energy, almost reaching an extremely daunting degree.

”Is this the Power of Tao from the Yin-Yang Dao?”

Jia Yan is somewhat surprised.

Yet, thinking about it, it’s expected as he arrived in this world, from knowing nothing about this so-called ’Dao’ initially, to now having a certain understanding of it. His transformation concurrently leading to the advancement of this so-called ’Dao’ isn’t surprising.

”Initial Level?”

Jia Yan is troubled by his newfound power.

Not that the new powers seem wrong; after all, the Dao Power in this world is inherently more basic than the Brainwave Power he has long studied. It’s apparent that this world’s power, the so-called Dao, is more fundamental, and the Strong Ones here are considerably more formidable than those in the external Universe, at least regarding Jia Yan’s Milky Way.

Therefore, having the new Dao Power shouldn’t cause him any dissatisfaction.

Yet, Jia Yan still feels somewhat frustrated. That’s because he fears that having too many different powers and battle techniques might confuse him, especially as many of them are rather basic powers or techniques.

Indeed, those powers might have been arduous, almost life-threatening, struggles for Jia Yan to learn previously, but now they are far less significant.

More worryingly, those abilities and skills might adversely affect crucial combat decisions during life-threatening situations causing grave mistakes.

”Then perhaps I need to prioritize certain skills, discard or forget unnecessary ones in the future.”

Painfully, Jia Yan resolves on these decisions.

Nonetheless, his most crucial aim remains to break through vigorously.

”There’s still blood left... continue using it then.”

Jia Yan senses the spacious room outside his massive Cocoon; there still exists a considerable amount left of the Giant blood bags that Pierz provided on the ground.

Thus, his recently regained Brainwave Power instantly utilizes, raising one of those bags.

Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle.

Strands of Condensation Fluid rapidly devour the Giant blood from a bag.

Subsequently, Jia Yan perceives new energy entering his body.

”Great, only three more days are required for this breakthrough to be completed.”

”Then, I might even return to the original Universe... home seems both distant and not much time has passed; a bit nostalgic indeed.”

Silently, Jia Yan contemplates this, while his Brainwave Power continues devouring bag after bag of Giant blood.

Time thus slowly passes as three days elapse...

In the grand scheme, Jia Yan has been in seclusion for about two weeks.

This day marks the third day.

Boom!!!!
